Everything was perfect from checking to checkout. Front desk staff were friendly and efficient The room was clean, roomy and comfortable. The pool and hot tubs were clean and perfect to end the day. The only thing that would have made this better would be pastries and juice in the lobby in the morning

Yes the hot tub is hot enough and parking if you have one vehicle was good if you don't have only one vehicle and it's a nightmare you have to try to find 24-hour parking and there isn't any in the area.

Check-in was smooth & efficient. Plenty of parking & nearby elevator & stairs for our 2nd floor room. Two hot tubs on property...water was lukewarm when we got in but warmed up eventually. Enjoyed our stay.

It's pretty run down and not very clean. I was surprised because on all booking sites people commented on how clean the place is, but it really wasn't. There were a bunch of hairs in the bathroom and one of the chairs in the room was absolutely filthy. Luckily the sheets and towels were clean. I would probably look elsewhere in future.

Room in horrible condition. Safety lock missing on door. Entire bathtub cracking and peeling. Outside elevator and hallway area dirty and worn out. Stayed for 10 minutes and then left to find another hotel. Still waiting on email response regarding a refund. Front desk agreed.

Entering the room it had a musty, moldy smell. Bathroom floor still had hair from another person on it. Front door had no safety lock. Water damage to the walls (probably what I was smelling). The worst part of the stay was this is a VERY loud hotel. The guests above me or next to me were partying well after 1am. I called down to the front desk twice and still didn’t hear them stop banging until after 3am. The front desk was rude on the phone like I was making it up! This hotel is VERY overpriced for what you get. I will not stay here again and I do not recommend it.

Noisy. Not quite almost 400.00 worth for one night. Had a nose strip stuck on the blinds. A/C didn’t work properly, windows were stuck and difficult to open. Bed was really hard and had stains on covers.

I always had a good room on the second floor. This time, I had a room on the first floor (ground level), which was very disappointing. The floor is worn out, and the sink was dirty with long hair in it. The WiFi and TV reception were poor and almost non-existent.

We enjoyed our stay here. The room was really clean. The bathroom was really nice. Our only issue was one of the TVs in the room didn’t work at all. Other than that, it was really nice. The staff was really friendly.

The bathroom was filthy and the fixtures were all rusted and/or pitted. Walls are paper thin and we were listening to conversations from adjacent rooms all night. The a/c has no modern thermostat so you have to constantly adjust it constantly. Parking is tight and limited. More like a motel than hotel. Price and quality not in alignment at all.

The service was nice, our A/C, bed, and shower were all great. It was very quiet at night. The close location to Wharf and Downtown eats is great. We had a top floor corner room, which we hoped for. But I think we were too far from the router, our internet was awful. Also they bizarrely had an ashtray right in front of our window, so we dealt with smoke and smokers frequently.

Loved everything about this hotel and the vibe it had. Great room, comfy bed, super nice shower. All the staff were excellent, shout out to check in girl Maguire (not sure of spelling) Pool area was fantastic minus the couple practically doing it in one of the hot tubs 😵‍💫 Beach pier and amusement park all easily walkable. My only regret is we were only in town for one night, but I’ll definitely be back and would recommend to others.

Room was clean and comfortable. The double shower head was a nice touch. The huge downside is that you hear booms and bangs whenever anyone walks up the stairs or moves around, period. Thankfully, there wasn't much activity after 10 so I was able to get decent sleep, but I would not return and take the risk of being subject to that awful noise. The management provide ear plugs and sleepy tea so that's an indication they know noise from common movement is a huge problem. It was very close to everything and that was a bonus.

We chose this hotel because the description led us to believe that it was very near the boardwalk. It isn't. It's about a mile walk each way. It was good to exceed 10,000 steps, but we walked 3 1/2 miles getting to the boardwalk and back. The hotel was very clean and our king room was plenty large. The bed was so-so and the pillows like rocks. I did not sleep well. The people working there were very pleasant and we were able to park our car free. Dogs can stay for an extra $30 each, which is about average. It was fine for one night, but not longer.

Was very disappointed to learn that the rooms do not have air conditioning. there was what looked like an air conditioner in the room. It was not an air conditioner but just a fan system to blow in outside air.

they messed up the date of our arrival and they had no reservation for us. The staff was not helpful. We asked about helping us find another hotel as there was no available rooms. They they were rude about it and offered no helpful information. I ended up having to drive 5 hours all the way back home with my three small children. poor customer service.

We were told by the staff that only one vehicle could park for free in their lot. They informed us that there was plenty of parking across the street. This was a pay for parking lot that was available until midnight daily. They did not make us aware that a very large event, starting at 6am, would be happening there the next morning. I am certain they should have known of this triathlon and made us aware of the street closures, no parking, and the early noise! We did not see any signage about the event or parking situation so i parking there ar the advice of the hotel our daughter's car got towed. It took many phone calls to figure out where it was taken and $1200 later we got the car back. In mentioning the situation to the hotel staff and manager they were not helpful or compassionate. The attitude was uncaring and not my problem. It was very disconcerting to say the least.

I took my daughter and granddaughter to Santa Cruz for a short vacation. This hotel was wonderfully located and i thought a great value compared to othe hotels in the area. Easy walk to downtown the Boardwalk and Wharf. The staff was amazing. Wonderful customer service. And having worked in CS for over 20 years I know what good is. The hotel is older but our room was very clean and maintained well. The pool area was nice with 2 hottubs and lots of seating with lounge chairs and tables with umbrellas and lots of towels provided. We enjoyed it so much we stayed an extra night. Only cons are the parking lot is very tight. I always found a space but it often took some maneuvering to get into. I drive a Rogue. And the vending machine was out of water. Otherwise perfect stay. We will definitely stay here again! Its not fancy. Have appropriate expectations and you'll enjoy your stay. Ritz quality customer service especially at the front desk. Thank you so much for making our vacation comfortable, convenient and fun!

The Ocean Pacific Lodge was clean, professional, and had friendly front desk staff. The neighborhood is touristy and gets a bit shady at night, but that’s true of anywhere near the boardwalk. I felt safe and comfortable on the property and parking was easy. It had everything I was looking for in a place to stay. I had a good experience and would recommend this place to others.

Great spot for a reasonable price. You can easily walk to the beach or downtown. The pool and hot tubs were also great. For a small motel the pool area had an almost resort like feel. Our two kids loved it. We will be be back.

I took my teenage daughter to a quick trip to the boardwalk during our California trip The Ocean Pacific was a great value for the price. The room was clean, comfortable and close to the boardwalk and downtown. We arrived early and for a $25 we were able to check in early. There was a Classic Woody convention in town and lots of the car owners were staying there so we got to see all of the cool cars which was really cool. It’s an old school basic motor lodge, so there is no onsite breakfast but there are tons of options a quick car ride away. The only downside is that parking in the lot is tight which could be an issue for larger vehicles.. Perfect for our mother/daughter trip and I’d stay here again.

The hotel room was spacious and comfortable. Walking distance to the Harbor & Boardwalk. Cafe right across the street to grab breakfast/lunch and it was delicious. This is our second time at this hotel. Would suggest to bring your own pillows since theirs are really hard.

I enjoyed my stay at the Ocean Pacific Lodge. The staff were very pleasant and professional. While just a few blocks from the beach, the street is a bit quieter, and easy walking distance to downtown Santa Cruz with more shopping, food, and entertainment off the boardwalk. Be sure to grab a coffee and breakfast wrap from the Pacific Point Market & Cafe across the street!

Great location, Close to the Ocean and Pacific Ave where there is restaurants and shops. Great breakfast across street of hotel. Only downside is the noise at night from streets, but its a city with lots of things going...so be ready to put with it.

We had a great 2 night stay here with our two younger children. The kids loved the pool and hot tub& the short walk to the beach. The pacific point market across the street also has the BEST breakfast burritos!! We would stay again.
