The stay at this wonderful Hilton vacation club was immaculate. The grounds were very well kept and clean, service was impeccable, and the amenities were wonderful. There are tons of activities to do every day on the calendar, as well as Pickleball courts, a coffee house, mini golf, a wonderful outdoor pool and walking trails. Unfortunately, during our visit, both of the indoor pools were closed as well as the balcony on our room which was a bummer.

This place is amazing! The condo apartments are spacious and very clean. We were given an upstairs 2 bedroom,. The kitchen is fully set up with dishes etc. New coffee pot, full sized refrigerator. etc. There is a cute. nice sized balcony off the living room. I cant say enough about the large pool area. 3 outdoor pools with a separate one for adults! We stayed in July but the pool bar was not open. Also the resturant and coffee shops were only partially functional. Only take out food avalilable, so you do have to leave and drive a short distance to resturants. The staff is friendlky and very helpful All in all a beautiful place and great experience for a weekday get away.

The internet connection was horrible. The pool was too hot and not refreshing. No activities at the pool for the kids. Pool bar closed most of the week we were there. Room was nice and spacious. Loved the porch and patio.

Went to resort for a quiet retreat after hectic DC stay. The adult (over 18) pool was filled with literally screaming children cannon balling into the water. The pool maintenance person said the family pools and hot tubs were out of order. I tried to use the hot tub, patiently waiting for the 8 intoxicated, cursing, fighting men who had taken up residency in it to leave. They did not leave. When I asked management about the situation, they shrugged and said there was nothing they could do. When I went into the main office, I went over to the concierge desk and asked for a dinner suggestion they said they knew nothing about the area but wanted to know if I would give them some time so they could do a presentation to sell me something. Really? That was it! We packed up and left, forfeiting the money we paid for the 2nd night. Couldn't leave fast enough! When I checked out early, I told the front desk why I was leaving. He said nothing and shrugged his sholders. Wow! Absolutely no customer service! Highly don't recommend!!

Great stay for money. My only complaint is the indoor pool is small and they don't open the outdoor pool until Memorial day I guess. It was 85 degrees in April so a little outdoor swim would have been nice, Also, the hot tubs were more of a warm soak with 100 degree water and no jets.

Parking is great, the staff is wonderful, and we had fun doing the activities. Only complaint is that the whole area needs a good bug company to come out. Spiders everywhere and bugs all in our room

I don’t like to leave negative feedback but I won’t lie either. Our initial excitement about the property and its amenities was overshadowed by disgust after we found roaches in our unit. We let the first one slide thinking we had just seen a bug but after finding several roaches throughout the kitchen and living room area we let the staff know. It’s quite disappointing because it could have been a great experience had it not been for the fear of roaches getting into our stuff.

Room was great with plenty of space but outside space was a disgrace. Mould, dirt, cobwebs were everywhere. It hadn't been cleaned for months. It took 3 visits / requests for it to be finally clean enough to be usuable. And that was our final morning. Staff could be more helpful. Restaurant closed before 8pm even though it is was meant to be open till 9.

We have stayed here many times before & been very pleased. We were happy to come again. Unfortunately, the cleaning practices of the housekeeping (according to the maintenance person) has made some major issues. When arriving, the room smelled so strong of a musty mold smell, I thought we would all be sick. Then I realized that the carpets were soaking wet! I was told this was due to mopping with an excessive amount of water. I immediately contacted the front desk and they said all other rooms were full…but they sent a maintenance person to spray a deodorizer. While it smelled nice, it only masked the underlying issue. We stayed two nights and now all have sore throats upon leaving. The desk staff was kind but did not have a real resolution to provide nor did they offer anything for the fact that the room was truly unsatisfactory. When I opened the bottom cabinets in the kitchen, there was dark looking mold/ mildew on the wood. The carpets stayed wet the entire time we were there.

This is the first time in years that my patio was dirty and covered in spider webs. I suggest having someone to dust the tables, light fixtures, etc off as part of their cleaning duties. The shower had hair in it. Definitely not the Hilton standard that I’m use of. The staff was friendly and responded promptly.

This property was filthy, our doors wouldn’t lock and it took two calls for us to get someone there so the doors would actually lock, the unit we were in was filthy, moldy dirty wash cloths left in the wash machine in our unit. Door ways and floors disgusting. Reported to staff multiple times. Nothing was done except for delivering new wash cloths. Poor sound control, heard upstairs unit all night long. Refrigerator was gross. Dirty in the outside, all dented. Will never stay again and won’t encourage anyone else to either.

We did not eat there, so I cannot comment on the coffee place or the restaurant. All the staff were nice and helpful. Check in was pretty quick for as long as the line was. The unit was spacious. The resort itself looked nice. It was close to everything. One complaint is that every pillow in the unit was extremely thick and so only suitable for a side sleeper. In fact, it was so thick that I was not comfortable using any of them to sleep with on my side or in any way. I think all hotels should provide both thin and thick pillows so everyone is covered. The only reason I will not return is there was no water pressure. If you have hair more than one inch long, it will take what feels like an hour to wash, rinse, condition and rinse it. This place is fine for those who do not need to wash their hair while there or who are bald. Thank goodness I only needed to wash my hair once while there!

The property itself is beautiful and the rooms are spacious. However, the fire alarm went off randomly twice in our room after 10PM, most likely due to connecting guests cooking, making my two young children run down in terror. Our neighbors also had a dog in their room on this “no pets” facility that was yipping throughout the night. The staff member that was sent to investigate said there was nothing he could do. Additionally, the internet is terrible if not nonexistent. I was unable to complete any work while on the property. Lastly, I booked for four people (two adults and two children) and there was only one pillow available for the pullout bed. This is a minor inconvenience but when I requested another one I was told it would take 15 to 30 min for it to arrive to the room. That was fine, but after an hour with tired children I asked if I could come get it, which was apparently not an option. An hour and a half later the pillow finally arrived. For these reasons I will not be returning to this location.

I booked this online through Expedia and was not aware we would be shuffled through a very lengthy and uncomfortable sales push upon arrival. We were tired, hot and hungry and just wanted to get to our room. When I said we were not interested in attending a few hour long sales session, the woman was rude and unprofessional. She said, “enjoy your full price stay!” as I walked away. Aside from that, the stay worked out perfectly for our family and the one we were traveling with.

We loved the resort itself. My only issue was checking in. It felt like there was a bouncer on the door, firstly to ask you why you are there before he allows you entry, and secondly to make sure you don't leave without getting a 'welcome' pack' which is part of an upsell to get you to sit through a sales pitch the next day. 4 people were at their desks for the upsell so its full on. It was intimidating and the bouncer part felt uncomfortable. At the end of my stay I wanted to hand in the room key. 'Bouncer' asked my why I was trying to enter the lobby (third experience as I used the business center once too.) and I asked him where I could hand in my room keys as there was a fairly long line....he couldn't help me. Have not experienced this before. Opening the doors, yes, but not blocking entry until you explain why you are there and what you want. The check-in itself was quick and easy with a very lovely lady; our home was wonderful, spacious, clean and had everything we needed; the amenities were great; and the coffee shop has good coffee though not many food options. It was a lovely stay and I would recommend. Just a shame about the lobby.

We had a great time in this Resort. We enjoyed the suite. We actually made Thanksgiving dinner there and it worked. We were comfortable during the stay both in the beds and in the living room. We went to the restaurant but didn’t utilize and other resort amenities. We went to Busch Garden which was a 17 minute drive away which is not bad.

We had a wonderful experience at this Hilton vacation club. The apartment unit we were in was an upstairs unit and was absolutely perfect for what we needed for our family. The property is beautiful and we enjoyed the landscaping. The beds were comfortable, and our unit was very quiet, although I don’t believe there was anyone in the unit below us at any point. The staff were very helpful and accommodating. It’s so cool that you can text questions and requests to the hotel staff. There is a resort fee that you pay when you get there, but I felt that the overall value of what we paid was definitely worth the experience we had. You can reference the hotel’s website for the resort fee. The concierge offered the timeshare presentation to us but was not pushy at all, and I was not bothered by that in the least. The kitchen in our unit was furnished with cookware, but you’ll need to bring your own seasonings and whatnot. I would definitely stay here again, and hope that I get to soon. Thank you Hilton!

We decided on a quick get-away to celebrate a birthday. The Historic Powhatan was conveniently located near everything we wanted to do. We arrived earlier than the check-in time, but we were able to check in and also got a great restaurant recommendation from the concierge. The room was beautiful, clean and spacious. The only complaint was the beds werent as comfortable as we would have liked. I would definitely stay here again.

I paid for breakfast for two, was given a voucher at the front desk, and was told where to get breakfast. In the morning we went there and was told it didn’t open until 2 pm. Then we were told to go to the coffee shop, which was also closed. And then we were told to go to town. Pretty damn shabby—and now I get to argue with Hotels.com

My family really enjoyed this location! We actually cannot wait to go back and spend more time in the area. The rooms were amazing, the beds were comfy. The amenities were above our expectations. The pools were beautiful, the mini golf was cool and the coffee shop with local artist items was a great addition. I wish we would’ve known earlier about the haunted tour they do on certain days so we would’ve planned accordingly. Would’ve been so cool to do.We ate breakfast at the restaurant and the staff were so friendly. Received daily text from the property to ensure our stay was good and we were taking care of. I can’t wait to come back and stay again. Probably the best location we’ve ever stayed at as a family in over 10 years.

The individual rooms are very nice; they’re basically apartments with full kitchens. We also had a nice private patio on the back of the unit. The grounds are lovely and well maintained. The only problem I had was that there is a coffee shop on site that was supposed to open at 7, and was never open our whole stay.

I liked the property overall. Well kept and clean. The rooms were nice a little outdated. The wifi was terrible, the bar and grill at the pool was not so nice. The restaurant was dark and unwelcoming. Stood at the desk for 5 minutes waiting to be seated nobody came out so we walked out. The mini golf was awesome kids loved it. My son fished his brains out which he loved his favorite part. Staff was nice all around. When we got.to our room the sofa bed cushions were not on the sofa. Did not get kitchen towels till 4th day. Balcony wasnt cleaned so we didnt use it. Overall was a positive stay well priced for what it was no complaints there so we would stay again. Thank you

The rooms and interior were nice and spacious. The manor house was great to view. Wish staff would have provided more info about the activities scheduled throughout the week. A letdown that the Coffeehouse onsite was closed the two days we were there.

This was our second stay and while we would absolutely stay there again we will also look into other nearby resorts. The restaurant was closed and/or had very limited hours during our week long stay. The Coffee Shop opened every day but the time it opened varied and was not published and the pool Bar was only open one of the 7 days we stayed. It was extremely hot so it would have been nice to be able to order water while at the pool. They seem to be having staffing issues.
