I called ahead and was told that the pool closes at 10. At check-in, it was confirmed that the pool would close at 10. I went to the pool around 7 and the pool was padlocked. The front desk agent lied and denied ever telling me the pool hours over the phone or at check-in. He was borderline belligerent and completely dishonest. Room 250, the shower sputs, but hardly runs at a decent speed without making a TERRIBLE sound. The sheets were dirty on one of the beds. There's a $30 fee to change rooms!

States 24/7 gym even though the door lock been broke for months and the won't fix apparently. Very inconvenient when the facility was greatly needed for athletes competing at USA MUAY ThAI this past weekend. Simple solutions could have fixed this..

I left my last hotel because of the jacuzzi not working among other things. So, I booked with this hotel.... soon as I got there both Jacuzzi's didn't work, wrong room, ice maker didn't work, key card never worked, and staff were REALLY RUDE!! I even called corporate to complain and send photos of how the staff let people not staying at the hotel sleep on the lobby sofa and staff just sitting around in the lobby not behind front desk. The janitor/maintenance guy was rude and felt he was a bit racist towards me.

Let's see ..to start the front desk staff could careless about customer service. She saw me standing there waiting to check in....ignored me and kept carrying non her conversation with someone unseen for several minutes. And zero cordiality. Was told not to park along the fence line... across from the front desk because I might get towed. Ok fine. Odd, but thanks for the warning I guess. Overall grounds needs a good week-long cleaning. They don't even bother with the basics like sweeping. Room was ok. Though it seemed the cleaning was basic. The fridge ran all night and made it hard to sleep. My son also noted that the walls were paper thin and heard the next door neighbors opening and slamming their door to 2 am. So we were sure to return the favor when we left at 7. The pool was ok. Non heated, but ok. The hot tub was disgusting and you could see the mold and algae being pumped around. And the kiddie pool has green algae growing on the filter at the bottom. Both ice machines weren't working (we asked). Basically it was - oh well, too bad. And $158 a night is a joke. This is supposed to be a Wyndham property . If I were them, I'd pull my brand name off this property. What an embarrassment. Overall grungy area, and sketch inhabitants.

The only reason I chose this place was because of the amenities specifically the jacuzzi, the pool and the gym. The jacuzzi in my room didn’t work and the tub was small. The gym is an outdated old hotel room turned gym and the equipment (treadmill) is broken. Breakfast is disgusting if you don’t eat microwave eggs with pork. Spoke to manager they offered me more time at this crummy place.. maybe my standards were too high. Expect nothing and then this place would be great

Hotel was all round pretty dingy, small cockroaches roaming around the bathroom area, dirty towels left for us including hair, and the pool area was less than desirable. Was supposed to stay for 2 nights but moved hotel after one night. Only seemed to have one staff member on that knew what they were doing, when speaking to one woman at the desk was told I needed to come back in half an hour when someone who could “actually help” would be there. Would not recommend

I made my reservations from the pictures in the website. Was going to do a staycation and stay by the pool for the weekend. Pool looked refreshing and clean on the website. So I books 3 days with them……but what a nightmare after checkin. The hotel looks nothing like the website. It’s very old and the pool is really dirty and not clean at all. All the chairs are broken and would put my foot in the pool because it was green. The room was just ok and the bathroom had water stains on over the ceiling. The bathroom was so small that your knees hit the door and tub when you sit in the toilet. Just like I said you get what you pay for.

First off they did not have our reservation. We were finally able to check in with the help of Expedia. We had a dirty room. Tub was gross, trash was not emptied and it looks to me like that they flipped the sheets to avoid changing them. There were also rocks all over the floor. When we checked out I told the guy at the desk I dont think the room was cleaned. He said it was prior to us checking in but wasn't inspected. All photos are attached. Definitely will not stay here again and I dont recommend it. We also found a ring and turned it into the Front Desk. I hope the owner found it.

Room in need of many updates. Not really clean, hair in tub and debris in corners. The shower curtain rod not in correct place and causes water to spray out both sides unless you rig it by bending rings to stay. Stains on bathroom floor that were questionable/unidentifiable and most likely not cleaned properly. A/C leaked water on the floor and outside on what seemed to be only our room. Bathroom light would turn off and on randomly when on. Towels were not available at desk when asked for. Sketchy people hanging out in parking lot that may or may not have even been renting a room. We did stick it out because we had our dogs and there were not too many options elsewhere. However, I think it should have cost a lot less per night for what we got.

The photos advertising the property were nothing like the actual property. I tried to cancel my stay when I saw it and I was told that was not an option. All rooms have exterior doors. The parking lot is dark and there were people loitering around the vehicles. There were some rooms that were accessible through a courtyard, however, the rooms still had exterior doors. The room smelled musty and not clean. There were holes in the wall around the shower fixtures. The bathtub water could not be shut off completely and the tub was stained. There were holes in the walls of the room and the air conditioner was leaking into the room. There was a gap aroud the door large enough to see light from outside. The bed had black specks on the sheets. The pool looked nice, but the hot tub was a dark gray color. I left and found another establishment.

Booked a room with 2 beds for daughter and me, I'm her father. Entered the room to see only 1 bed. Had to go back to front desk and ask for the room I booked. The front desk guy was nice and accommodating. Got to the room we booked and it was filty. Trash cans were full of food, drink bottles and trash. Turn the lights on in the bathroom and there was cockroachs scattered everywhere. There was clumps of hair and dust and dirt all over the floors. The beds were made poorly. Gnats flying around. Agent who checked me in fantastic: super professional and friendly. She provided all the info one wonders about clearly, without my having to ask. I booked here because it was less expensive than most places; my room (a one-bed queen that felt more like a double) was kind of small and had the feel of a old motel. Outdated, somewhat worn furnishings, but it was clean.

The room was very nice, outside entrance but inner room on second floor, had to get through a locked door to get there. Stairs need attention, little worn. The building just looks tired, but the room was fine. The bed was too hard for me but my husband thought it fine, edge of bed very hard. Breakfast was fine, what you would expect. Keys had to be reprogrammed a couple of times even though we kept them in our back pockets. TV would not turn on with remote, no one ever did anything about it. Good 👍 area, close to many things. Grocery store next door, many restaurants nearby. We went to Hagley museum and Wilmington and Western railroad. Both close. Water temperature uneven in shower.

It was the tiniest hotel room I've ever stayed at in my entire life. It was old and not well kept. It was supposed to be a deluxe queen suite but nothing deluxe about it. I was absolutely disappointed and not happy about the misconception of what I thought by the description and what it actually was. The bathroom door would close because it was hitting the sink the wallpaper was peeling around the room the chairs had nasty stains on them. It was overall the worst place I've ever stayed . And I've never ever seen a hotel room like this in my life.

The property is old and a bit tired. Not very clean on the room. All corners neglected. Shower pressure and & hot water were great. TV reception was fuzzy. I had to use my hotspot for internet speed. The hotel wifi was slower than old dialup.

This is obviously a former old motel which has been purchased and upgraded by Best Western. It's clean, safe and comfortable, but in a very busy area. My sink drained very slowly, the toilet seat is very loose and the lock on the door is almost non-functional. I had to go to the office 3 times for new room card-keys. (They should have moved me to another room. The place was practically empty.) The 6:00am coffee (and free breakfast) was 45 minutes late. (It was good when it finally arrived, though.) These rooms should rent for about $75.00 in today's economy.

I didn't have a stay. I left a different hotel because of bugs everywhere, booked through hotels.com to get a room at SureStay, and was turned away at the door. They said they didn't see my itinerary, and didn't care that I had the receipt and all the information to show them. Now they're refusing to refund me! Do not try and stay here; you'll be gambling with your money.

When I checked in at 2 PM, the front desk lady was very nice friendly and efficient. Although when I checked out and I wanted to make sure they knew of the things in my room that needed repair fixing or maintenance a different woman from when I checked in was very author Tory power hungry, and didn’t listen to a word I said instead she discipline me treating me like a child telling me that I needed to tell the front desk as soon as a problem occurred. When I tried to explain to her that it wasn’t a major concern she was still very stern and strict, making sure that she was the one in charge and not me. She made me very upset and I just ended up leaving because there was no debating her rules and regulations Customer Service has gone downhill where the customer is never right and you have to put up with unsatisfactory Customer Service.

The pictures looked nice but we get there and right away got an attitude from one of the ladies at the desk. Then our kids was going to look at the pool and the same lady said they were up no good meanwhile they are 12 years old then we said something about how loud the people in the rooms right beside were and she said get over it it’s the area. She was rude I believe she was the manager too Carla never again will we stay there. Nicki was beyond nice

Considering the price I didn’t expect much. The staff overall was ok but overnight front desk attendant was pretty rude. I was in town for a race with 7am start and she initially didn’t want to allow me and another guest that was also heading to the race leave through the lobby door she did so after seeing we both had rides waiting for us. Then the next morning I had an early train ride home she wouldn’t allow me to use the lobby door to meet my Uber. She made me use some side exit that took me through the dark parking lot at 4am.

Though we arrived for our check in late, just getting into a room took a little while. The front door was locked and there was a number to call to get someone to the reception. I called and called and I couldn't get a response from the phone. It was only until another guest pulled up to the front with her car and honked several times that someone came to the door. The man from reception came to the door with no shoes on. I understand it is late at night but if you have a number to call to reach someone, someone should at least be available or be ready to answer the call. Also, I would think the staff would try to look a little more presentable when receiving guests. He claimed that he did not hear the phone ring or there were no messages on the phone. The room itself was definitely not up to par. Walls need to be plastered and painted. There was an odor in the air when we came it. The flooring in the bathroom of our room was loose near the toilet. The room was not clean when we arrived; there was dust in the corners in the bathroom and near the tall lamp by the air conditioner. All the baseboards looked dirty as if some liquid was spilt on them. Overall, the room didn't really make us feel at ease despite a short stay. The bathroom sink stopper wouldn't pullup so water was filling up. On my way out i reported it and when i returned back to room issue was resolved. My key had a problem once again problem was resolved. So i definitely will be returning cause this kind of service we all look forward no delays. First time and i will recommend surestay to anyone in need of place providing they not booked.

There was nobody at the reception for 30 minutes, from 00:10 to 00:40 am. The front door was locked after midnight. I called the reception many times and heard the phone ringing and knocked at the glass door loudly for 30 minutes until 2 men appeared at the reception. Unacceptable. Staff were generous in accommodating our requests, the serve-yourself breakfast was fine in a lovely lobby. The room is tired, the hot water slow & erratic, but at the price, the property is good value and undoubtedly attractive for families when the pool opens.

The area surrounding the hotel was the first red flag. There use to be a restaurant right next to the property but it is boarded up and has glass and a sketchy alleyway. Upon check in I walked into the lobby a few minutes early and instead of just being accommodating I was told nope..it isn't check in yet. It's not what you say ever, it's how you say it, customer service is key. You are given a room key and have to stumble upon where it is because directions are given vaguely. The room was dusty. The clock had grimey dust. The corners of every crevice had dirt build up. The ironing board soiled. The tub needs paint, replacement,or a magic eraser. The pool was the only high light which would have been more delightful spare the random kids running about without guidance, no staff to detour danger. The breakfast is a 2/10 because you can make waffles. I would put the highest gate around the property to try to separate from the surrounding eye soars. Get a staff that actually cleans, not straighten up. One night, never again

The lobby was beautiful and held most of the attraction but going to the room and viewing the property compared to the pictures online left something to be desired. Overall the cleanliness was okay but certain amenities like the ac and tv were working incorrectly and /or broken. The pool was great and the breakfast needed some more options but was laid out nice and tasted well. Overall a good bang for the buck but isn't the best place for a picky eye.

The property is somewhat older and worn, but clean and quiet. The staff is always friendly and helpful. (This is my 3rd visit.) The area around the hotel (shopping center parking lot and residential area) looks a little sketchy, with people walking around outside at 3:30am in bad weather.....but no problems on any visit. I liked the hotel, i just wish breakfast on the weekend was earlier then 7:30. On Saturday they advertised eggs, bagels from Manhattan bagels, fruit, they did not have any out. The toaster kept tripping the circuit on the plug. I think this was cause they had both plugged in with the warmer.

The room was fine with multiple channels on TV, spacious area, microwave, refrigerator, etc. Disappointed that pool is outside and not in season. Disappointed that continental breakfast lacked quality and was not stocked up with supplies. No cooking spray for waffle maker so waffles stuck to equipment. A 4 oz of juice wasn't sufficient for an adult.

Our room was clean and neat. The shower did drip a little so that was a little disturbing. You just had to make sure you got the faucet knob turned in the right spot. Front desk was very helpful and polite. Parking was decent. We didnt have breakfast there so I can not rate it. All and all we had a lovely stay.

The pictures are not updated, the rooms are gross. The electrical plugs next to the bed were completely missing. The lamps had no place to be plugged in. You had to charge ur phone across the room. The floors were not swept or mopped. There was roach droppings all over the trim and around the edges of everything. The first room we had to be moved from due to the amount of stuff on the floor, tub and dirty pillow cases. The floor was soaked after a shower due to a broken rod. Slow drain so you stand in your shower water. Smelled wet and musty. Breakfast is a joke. Bread, corn flakes and no milk. I asked for butter for the bread and was told by staff ‘it’s close to 9 we are done serving’ No drinks, not one. The lady who was tending to the so called breakfast was on the phone cursing. The staff was not friendly, never said I apologize I’ll get you a new room. They were offended we asked to be moved. We walked in and out desk staff never even spoke. I know it’s an older hotel, but clean it. It’s so gross! We couldn’t get a refund to go elsewhere bc it would take days to be refunded. Pay the extra and stay down the road.
