The room was great. The pool was closed so that was too bad. The breakfast and coffee were awful. The coffee came from a vending machine and the creamer was spoiled. The breaksfast was poor quailty.

Pool area had no ventilation and was super hot causing a bad chemical smell burning the eyes. Also, our room never got serviced. Overall, wasn’t the greatest of stays. Oh and the ice machine was still broken from a previous stay.

No toilet paper, kleenex, the shower had dried soap with pubic hair in it on the walls. Also, the hair dries was shattered. I tried to call the service desk and it rang busy everytime. I went down to the desk to get everything that should have been in the room, three people were standing there talking. I had to interprut them to make my request known. They acted putout! I said you can bring the items to the room I am not waiting. When a female brought the stuff she said next time call the desk. I said I tried, someone had the phone off the hook. She just said oh!! No I am sorry for anything! Try having a BM and no TP!!

Carpet had stains all over in the room and when my husband opened the drawer on the nightstand there was a plate full of food from the breakfast that morning we assume. Staff was nice and bed wasn't bad but definitely stayed in nicer places.

I loved this property! Sitting outside on the lake with the geese was really nice. The general manager was very welcoming. The pool was actually heated, unlike many hotels who say that but the heating is always broken. My only complaints were about the room itself. The cleaning staff had not done a very good job and there was still food from somebody’s previous stay in the fridge and microwave. As the microwave was see through and I could see the food as soon as I walked in, it made me realize the cleaning staff was simply not doing their job or is lazy. Makes me wonder what else was not cleaned.

The room was super dusty it was chunked on everything, the coffee pot was not clean at all and still had a used coffee pod inside, the shower needed to be cleaned as well. The pool was sooo cold it was even cold in the pool room so we had to go to our friend’s hotel for the boys to swim. Breakfast was free but very limited options.

Positives are that it is in a good area, lots of restaurants and shopping nearby, close to downtown, breakfast options were good and the staff was very friendly every time I interacted with them. Negatives were mostly within our room. Upon entering there was a pretty bad musty smell and maybe the faint smell of cigarette smoke. We noticed over the course of our stay that all of our clothing seemed to be holding water/was damp, the carpet and bedding was as well from the conditions in the room. I am not sure if there is a bit of mold issue going on or if the air conditioner was bad and that was causing it but not a hotel I would be able to stay at again due to these situations. Hotel is older and was updated probably many years ago but there are some elements that are still dated/need to be replaced, example was shower door was rusted in places, lights threw a breaker and stopped working just from using my hairdryer and flat iron. The room conditions were very bad for me as someone with asthma and allergies. It was kind of expensive for me based on these issues. Wouldn’t stay again.

The shower was not clean upon our arrival. They did send someone up to clean it when requested but it was stained to where it looked like someone else’s soap was still in there and the shower head was severely corroded and gross. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

The hotel was nice but room smelled covered up with air freshener that was in room. Beds were terrible hard and lumpy hurt my back. Very tiny room. The bathroom old and outdated. You could hardly fit in shower it was very small standing only shower. Toilet very low to ground hard for an older person to get up !

Very clean, room seemed dated as bathroom was small with a pocket door and was essentially part of the room rather than a separate room. Hot breakfast was adequate with limited choices but breakfast staff was excellent; hard worker, friendly and kept area clean. For the price this is a very good hotel and would stay here again.

The door to our room was broken! The toilet paper holder was broken, the shower door was about to fall off the hinge, 3 outlets in the room didn’t work! The manager came to look at the door and responded with “ya we ordered a new handle”. Didn’t offer a new room nothing! We will NEVER stay here again nor will I ever recommend a Sleep Inn to anyone! Worst hotel experience ever by far!

The hotel itself is in a great location. Within walking distance to several places to eat including McDonald’s, Culver’s, and Starbucks. Pool was not heated. Room was clean but had a weird smell. I’m gonna assume they have a moisture and mildew problem since there was a dehumidifier in the room. Bathroom was small with a sliding wood door and a weird shower that was like showering in a capsule. Bathroom light is on a timer and it shut the lights off during my shower. The hotel was completely booked do to travel basketball and softball. Which means teenage kids running everywhere, slamming doors, beating on walls, running the hall ways at 3 am. I went to call the front desk and apparently the phone is only for decoration, it didn’t even have a cord. Went to the desk no one was there. Turns out the room next to us was nothing but teenage girls with NO adults. Found that out after having to knock on their door to get them to calm down. The morning staff at checkout was nice and apologetic.

I lost a ring that wasn't expensive but had great sentimental value while I was there. Lindsey and the other staff had ideas and helped me with that once I was hundreds of miles away and realized it was missing. I was prepared to resign myself to never seeing the ring again. Amazingly, one of the housekeepers (Amy) found it! I will be back to get it when I'm back in town in a few weeks and would like to thank the housekeeper in particular. These are honest and hardworking people who helped me. I will be staying here again! Thank you so much!

First hotel where I had to leave a $200 CASH deposit, which means I had to use the very convenient ATM located right beside the FRONT DESK. This is because we booked with Expedia. What if you didn’t have money in your bank account to cover that, you would be screwed. The other issue was the computer system wasn’t working so we had to stand there for five minutes waiting to sign something. I have used Expedia quite often, but never had to do a cash deposit, so if you don’t have $200 in your bank account, you might not wanna come here.

We had a reservation to stay at this hotel this past Thursday. Friday morning we needed to be in Indianapolis for surgery. We make this trip several times a year to hospital. Upon checking in I was informed that I would need to leave a $200 CASH deposit for incidentals. My cc was good enough to pay for the room but not good enough for anything else. I’ve heard of 50 even a 100 but 200 cash is excessive nor did I have on me. It was that or nothing. We left and had no choice but to book another room. So instead of a relaxing evening before surgery it was very stressful. That amount was not posted in lobby or on the website. Nor will they give me a refund either. We do a lot of traveling and I will do my best to never stay at a choice hotel again. Very disappointed in service and policy

The staff was amazingly kind and welcoming. We checked in late and inquired about the pool hours for our kids after a long car ride. Staff encouraged us to use even though it was close to being closed for the night. We arrived to breakfast as they were wrapping up and they made fresh items so we were able to still eat a hot and fresh meal.

Staff is super friendly and go out of their way to help in any way they can. Can’t say enough good things about them. And not just one, but all were great! Breakfast was nice with several hot choices, cereals, fresh fruit, yogurt, etc. Food was hot and fresh. Would definitely stay here again.

Great location. Close to highway access, shopping and restaurants. Must go into town while staying here. Columbus is a great town with lots to do. Also close to Nashville and this town is worth visiting.

For the most part you can tell they are trying to clean it up. Fresh(er) paint and new bedding. Musty smell, we couldn't eat the breakfast - there was mold on the biscuits and the gravy was cold (we did bring this to the manager's attention) The staff was friendly.

The room was clean, but the bathroom was too small. I was highly disappointed in the breakfast!! The set up was all jumbled up, and the food was ALL boxed/canned/frozen, and the orange juice was super watered down. Fixing that would make it 4 🌟!
