Rooms are comfortable and the pool and jacuzzi were great.

they share the parking lot with the sports bar next door hence limited parking for the hotel guests.

Hotel lobby was under construction remodel, however staff made it as seamless as possible for all patrons.

They are remodeled but still the hotel was clean and nice. The pool and hot tub were great however it is closing on April 29 because they are getting a new pool and hot tubs!!! I highly recommend this place. Staff is friendly and happy and helpful.

I booked specifically for the pool, hot tub, and fitness center. All being remodeled. If i knew I would have booked somewhere else. Remote for tv didn't work, had to call guest services. Rowdy sports team on the same floor.

Staff is friendly and welcoming to pets. Pool and hot tub were warm and clean, and room was pristine.

Parking wA difficult

The staff was great. The breakfast options were great and our room was very spacious!!! My husband loved the hot tub!!!

Bugs in the room. Bathroom either had a dead cricket or a dead roach on the floor. Some creepy crawlers in the tub as well. Hotel needs an update. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

Customer service is excellent, rooms do need some updating. Sofa bed is extremely dirty, carpet needs some heavy cleaning.

the room we stayed in smelled horribly of mold/mildew the bed was like a 70's mattress the linens were cheap and scratchy i was offered Lysol or Febreze for the smell but that does not take away from the whole room that must have mold spores the staff was very nice but could not offer me another room as they were completely booked the jacuzzi and pool were in good condition and working that's the nicest thing i can say

Clean and quiet

Very clean, beds comfortable, linens fresh, staff very friendly and helpful.

Hotel is old and not well maintained. The shower area needs caulking and cleaning. Hair found on the air found in the sink area and stains on the carpet. Our stay was 3 nights and housekeeping, didn’t come in once to clean.

Room was musty

Hotel was spotless. All of the staff was polite, professional, and very helpful. Breakfast was well-appointed and fresh. I even received a text asking if we needed anything. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

I fell in the shower. I just bruised my foot. There was NO slip proof items inside the tub. I would advise you to put anti-slip inside the tub. If an elderly person slips as i did you are guaranteed to be sued!!!

My room was clean and comfortable. Parking was very full. I had to park behind the building and walk around to the front. Staff was exceptionally friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was mediocre but the staff, Susan was very friendly and helpful.

This was one of my favorite hotel stays! We booked a suite & it was perfect for a family of 4. Lots of options at their breakfast & different both days. The bed was comfortable & the room was well thought out. Lots of hooks, storage, electric/port plugs & just all around done well. This location is convenient to shopping, restaurants & the highway, so it was a little noisy at bedtime but worth it!

Was expecting a microwave in room but there wasn’t any in our room! Phone kept ringing but nobody there so had to unplug it!!!!

This Hampton makes a very good first impression. The facility is nicely manicured outside and the lobby area is clean and welcoming. The front desk staff was great, very personable and helpful. If there is one thing this is a bit bothersome is how easily you hear what is going on in the room next to you.

Great visit, but the only complaint is the showers. Tub is narrow and your feet are never fully flat it felt unsteady.

I’ve stayed here many times. The staff is always very friendly and welcoming. The facility is always well maintained - clean and in good repair. I think the rooms have been redecorated since my last stay and it’s very nice - good artwork on the walls. It’s very homey and comfortable.

Of all things, my gripes were about the bathtub. The tub is narrow, with the curves of the tub walls at the bottom extending into the bottom of the tub, which left almost no room to stand without my adult-sized feet being angled onto the curves at the bottom of the tub. In order to stand flat-footed on the 'floor' of the tub, I had to have one foot in front of the other, which doesn't provide the most stable standing position. Another gripe is that the floor of the tub didn't provide a whole lot of traction, and I couldn't find a vinyl or rubber safety bath mat anywhere in the bathroom to put in the tub. The minimal traction wouldn't have been so much of an issue had the tub been wider as I might have been able to stand more securely. As it went, the inclusion of the safety bars in the tub were appreciated greatly. Yet another gripe is that the shower curtain is too short. Twice, while showering, the curtain got pushed to the outside of the tub, which left me with the job mopping up the water on the bathroom floor, using the now sopping wet cloth bath mat I put on the floor. Had the shower curtain been 3 - 4" taller, I think it would have stayed inside the tub. Other than those gripes, I would stay here again. The room was spacious, the bed was very comfortable, and, other than the street racing that was going on Friday and Saturday night out on Plank road, it was a quiet room. As mentioned above, I will stay at the Hampton Inn Altoona again when next I visit Altoona.

Really excellent customer service here. Sheryl was a gem. She provided personal notes on area restaurants and area attractions. She is really a gem. The pool and hot tub… both perfect temp!

Front desk and housekeeping lied about dogs barking when we have never had an issues before but we will take our business elsewhere

We would especially like to thank Stephanie (front desk). She couldn’t have been more welcoming and kind. She made our stay, a joy.

Our original room was in an area where there were guests who were being quite noisy. After reaching out the this hotel’s amazing on staff managers, they made it right and upgraded our room to a quieter area of the hotel. The managers were attentive, understanding, and kind due to a situation that was nobody’s fault other than the rude, selfish guests that were across the hall from us. Very happy with this hotel’s customer service. Will be back again!

We especially appreciated the attentiveness shown by Susan and Tracy during breakfast. They found a gluten free bagel for my sister and even remembered to have one thawed for her on the second morning! They were so friendly, spoke to everyone and inquired of each person whether everything was satisfactory. They care!

This was one of my favorite hotel stays..the front desk staff-Brett and Sheryl were fantastic-friendly and very helpful-we loved them! We will definitely return and recommend to everyone we know!

Special shout-out to night-clerk Jessica who assessed our needs as a family and upgraded us to a suite which made our stay much more comfortable.

My wife was very happy that the cleaning staff recovered her two wrist bands and notified her the first time they came in to service the room. Great service.

Safe area with a restaurant very close by

Great location along Interstate; plenty of dining options nearby; good parking; cleanliness and ambiance are super.

Close access to restaurants. Extremely loud cars outside hotel at 1 to 2 am. Sunday morning.

Location. Walking distance to two restaurants. Only stayed one night. Place was clean but a little dated. Pool was very nice. Breakfast was good. Only issue was the people next door left their dog alone and it was yelping from 745 till they came back at 810am waking us up. Overall nice place and good location.

The property is located very close to Route 99 which makes it very convenient. There is a Walmart and a Sam's Club a very short drive. Lots of business nearby. The inside of the property looks really good even though the property is undergoing a full renovation, as per the front desk. The renovation did not bother us at all. We were told that breakfast is served from 6 AM to 10 AM, on Monday, the breakfast table was partially lifted before 10 AM, namely, the juice dispenser was gone at about 9 AM. The breakfast was good, with good choices, the egg omelet was really good, and the home-fried potatoes were also good. Plenty of coffee at all times. The staff was very friendly. I will come back to the Hotel in the future.

the staff is so helpful and friendly. They got us checked in early. Its conveniently located across from the local mall. I would definitely stay there again.

Staying there was great. Location was perfect. Champs in the parking lot was a nice addition. Mall is across the street if your into that!

Great hotel and staff. Good included breakfast. My only issue and I got the reason why later in my trip is that it is in a not so walking friendly area of town and getting a rideshare can come at the expense of some time (20+ minutes) This had been explained to me by a rideshare driver who stated the local transit agency cut back service on Saturdays and there is no service on local transit on Sunday so rideshares get absolutely overrun on the weekends. Look no complaints whatsoever about the hotel, the staff were all great and friendly. Definitely use the pool and the hot tub, nicest and cleanest I have seen in a long time. REALLY close to the Blair County Convention Center if you're using that

I was not able to use the pool or spa. The hotel was under construction and if I had known that I would have stayed elsewhere. The continental breakfast was mediocre. I have stayed in this chain before, and was happy with everything. I hope this hotel will not be under construction the next time I come.

The staff at this hotel is very friendly. The hot breakfast (eggs and meats) changes daily, which is something I really since I was there for at least 3 breakfasts.

Staff was great, room was a great temperature, didn't have to wait for it to cool down, like that snacks and drinks are available to purchase. The only thing i didnt like was breakfast, need bananas!
