Great location with easy trail access to the train station. Not quite sound proof so you do hear other guests coming in late at night. Staff is very helpful and answered all of my questions. Taking a dip in the pool was very pleasant after a long day of traveling and trekking.

I have stayed in many hotels in Berchtesgaden and this has been my least favourite. Felt chilly mornings and evenings. Tho they did put heat on the last morning of my stay! Quilt wasnt warm on bed either! You have to pay for pool/sauna. Which ai found out on leaving the hotel. Didnt realise I owed money! No bar or restaurant. Breakfast

This hotel is centrally located and within walking distance to shops and restaurants. The view from the dining room is outstanding and has an unobstructed view of the mountains. The pool is a bonus and the staff are friendly and helpful. I have visited several times and will return again soon.

Parking. There is a pay to park lot across the street that has 3 free parking spots reserved for the hotel. Ten yards down there are 2 spaces, off the street, but the only access is if you drive down the sidewalk from the paid lot. The curb is not low enough to drive over. If there is any other parking, I couldn't find it. I don't know what most of their guests do. There were a few small insects in the bathroom. I arrived at around 2 pm and from 11 am to 3pm the reception desk is unstaffed. On a positive note, the buffet breakfast is very good, and the staff are very friendly.

The staff were friendly and happy to allow us to leave our bags when we arrived early. Very comfortable and spacious junior suite with a view to the Eagle's Nest on a clear day. The Indoor Pool was really nice with towels and changing facilities provided. It was no problem for us, but be aware that whilst the Expedia entry says there is a lift in the building, that is only reached after a dozen or so stairs up to reception and then the same again with quite a distance to walk to the lift on the 1st floor. Breakfast buffet was plentiful with good variety.

Noisy , Noisy very noisy , it is 24/7 non stop traffic noise as there is a main road with busy traffic right beside the hotel . The road is very busy , and it only quiet for 4 hours at night the rest of the the time just too noisy . The hotel is located on the the hill , I have to hiked up with my luggage to the hotel , the road up to the hotel is sandy rocky and it is pavement , so you can imagine how difficult to carry to luggage up to the hotel , there might be a bus going from the train station to the hotel but I have never seen them as I don’t think they have frequent services . As soon as walked into the hotel and spoke to the receptionists , our conversations were disrupted by the outside traffic’s noise . As I raised the concern and requested a quieter room, they only assigned me one facing the main road , with no surprise , the noises at night is disruptive , traffic noise , people talking noise , and at mid night I couldn even hear the people snoring next room , the second night I only got 2 hours sleep , it was a terrible stay . The only good thing that worth mentioning is that they have free breakfast .

Hotel in 70er-Jahrestil, eigentlich originell und selten mehr aufzufinden. Dafür war Hotelbar und -restaurant aber mit Mobiliar und Kisten vollgestopft. Versteckte Kosten für gedeckten Parkplatz oder Sauna steigerten die Freude auch nicht gerade, zumal nicht mal Wifi im Zimmer funktionierte. Vom darauf hingewiesenen Rezeptionisten, kam nur die schnöde Antwort, dass dies bereits bekannt wäre und daran gearbeitet würde und dass das Wifi in den unteren Stockwerken ja funktioniere. Fazit: Für müde Gäste, die keine Wohlfühloase suchen reicht die Gastfreundlichkeit. Die 170 € sind den Aufenthalt nicht wert.

Das Hotel ist schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen, trotzdem sehr charmant, aber für Menschen mit Einschränkungen nicht zu empfehlen, da innerhalb des Hauses sehr viele Stufen überwunden werden müssen, um zum Aufzug zu gelangen. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und das Frühstück reichhaltig. Die Lage ist ebenfalls sehr gut, eine Bushaltestelle ist direkt in Hotelnähe und ideal als Ausgangspunkt für Unternehmungen.
Das Hotel ist schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen, trotzdem sehr charmant, aber für Menschen mit Einschränkungen nicht zu empfehlen, da innerhalb des Hauses sehr viele Stufen überwunden werden müssen, um zum Aufzug zu gelangen. Nah zum Zentrum von Berchtesgaden gelegen, Bushaltestelle vor der Tür. Nachts ruhig. Frühstücksraum und Bergblick-Zimmer mit herrlichem Panoramablick auf Watzmann und Jenner. Sehr freundliches und aufmerksames Personal, vielfältige und qualitativ gute Auswahl beim Frühstücksbuffet. Möblierung im Hotel und in den Zimmern im rustikalen Stil der 70er Jahre aber alles sauber. Das Bad in unserem Zimmer war modernisiert. Zum Hoteleingang und innerhalb des Hauses sind viele Treppen zu bewältigen. Einen Aufzug gibt es erst ab der ersten Etage aufwärts.

Noisy , Noisy very noisy , it is 24/7 non stop traffic noise as there is a main road with busy traffic right beside the hotel . The road is very busy , and it only quiet for 4 hours at night the rest of the the time just too noisy . The hotel is located on the the hill , I have to hiked up with my luggage to the hotel , the road up to the hotel is sandy rocky and it is pavement , so you can imagine how difficult to carry to luggage up to the hotel , there might be a bus going from the train station to the hotel but I have never seen them as I don’t think they have frequent services . As soon as walked into the hotel and spoke to the receptionists , our conversations were disrupted by the outside traffic’s noise . As I raised the concern and requested a quieter room, they only assigned me one facing the main road , with no surprise , the noises at night is disruptive , traffic noise , people talking noise , and at mid night I couldn even hear the people snoring next room , the second night I only got 2 hours sleep , it was a terrible stay . The only good thing that worth mentioning is that they have free breakfast .

The location is perfect, you get a beautiful view of Berchtesgaden from the breakfast hall. Plus it is a 5 minute walk to the central bus/train station, and close to beautiful trails.

We were upgraded to a room with a mountain view and a balcony. The clerk at reception was very useful and spoke great English. The breakfast was very good and had lots to choose from. The hotel is very well situated straight in the mountains and a short drive to many attractions. Because we went at the end of March and beginning of April, not everything was open but still enjoyed our time.

This hotel is centrally located and within walking distance to shops and restaurants. The view from the dining room is outstanding and has an unobstructed view of the mountains. The pool is a bonus and the staff are friendly and helpful. I have visited several times and will return again soon.

I stayed in Room 30 on the third floor. Unfortunately, the bathtub drain was clogged, and the water would not drain properly. I tried to take a shower, but after about five minutes, the water had risen to my knees, so I had to give up. I also saw a cockroach in the lobby, which was quite frightening. The view from my room was absolutely amazing, and the breakfast was excellent. However, the clogged bathtub drain was a major disappointment and made my stay much less enjoyable.

The picture is misleading. It looks like a 4 stars hote, which in fact is between 2 to 3 stars hotel up in mid level of a hill. There are about 30 steps to walk to reach the lift. The room is not spacious Should provide information on how to reach the hotel. We relied on google map and as such we had to pull and push two heavy luggages on a rocky and sandy steep path for about 15 mins. Not recommended for non driving tourists who relied on public transport.
