The stay was very comfortable and luxurious. Breakfast is very exquisite . The staff is very friendly and I joined some of the events organized like a jog in the morning. Give an opportunity to meet new people who have travelled to the Holzform all around the world. The scenery and the surrounding is amazing. The sauna was a disappointment- the steam room was just to big and the steam generator inside was insufficient . There are two saunas 50 and 90 degrees. The temperature controller system of 90 degree is just random . We went there 3 different times and the temp was always different. The water which you get to drink after stepping out from from the sauna is too warm . I would have thought it would be from cold and refreshing from some nearby spring . The resting area is underwhelming… We didn’t use the massage therapist so will not be able to comment . 10/10 for the luxury 4/10 for the wellness

Die Kulisse rund um dieses Hotel ist wirklich beeindruckend. Die Zimmer war sehr schön und großzügig. Die Investition in seinen Soft-Close Toilettendeckel fände ich nicht verkehrt. Ansonsten ein Zimmerservice der wirklich auf zack ist. 2x täglich Handtücher gewechselt, wenn man will. Frühstücksbuffet lässt keine Wünsche offen, bei höherer Besucherzahl, können Omlets und Pan Cakes schon mal dauern, so dass man fast nicht mehr mit der Ankunft rechnet. Kinder müssen leider 18:00 Uhr die Pools verlassen, auch wenn sie nicht laut sind, es könnten ja mal Kinder kommen die laut sind, war die Erklärung. Am Pool innen gehen an wenigen kleinen Stellen schon Fliesen ab. Die Kinderkarte im Johann Grill ist überschaubar. Kommt man später zum Frühstücken wird man durchs ganze Restaurant geschleift, obwohl man vorher deutlich gesagt hat was man möchte. Die zentrale einizige Service-Kraft wird doch wissen, wo Plätze frei sind, wenn sie praktisch nix anderes macht!? Ansonsten Personal freundlich und bemüht. Uns hat es gut gefallen, aber wir haben auch schon viel im Vergleich gesehen. Da geht definitiv noch was.

The Kempinski Hotel was a marvelous choice! The rooms were spacious with outstanding views. The beds were comfortable, the bathroom large, the separate his & her closets made getting settled easy. The property was beautiful & well kept. The views were amazing! The staff couldn't have been more attentive. Shout out to our bartender Mathus who went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and special. All of the staff were professional, friendly, spoke good English, and were very helpful. We had a car which made getting around easy but I noticed several guests had taxi or driver pick up for rides to Salzburg. The property was so lovely I would just stay there next time and appreciate the views and trails, spa, etc. Very luxurious.

Wonderful place, would come back any time! Extremely friendly personnel, gorgeous food, tasteful furnishing, couldn‘t have wished for more. Some minus points: no aroma essences in the sauna, parking fee not included, outside pool too small for amount of guests.

Personal ist sehr freundlich. Die Speisen 1. Liga. Insgesamt ein traumhafter Aufenthalt. Einziges Manko: der Spa-Bereich bietet etwas weniger Auswahl. Ein Whirlpool hatte ich schon erwartet.

Very nice hotel and high standard on everything from the rooms, staff, cleaning and restaurants. Defiantly a nice place to stay and we will come back. Would have been a good service if someone now and then passed by the pool and asked if we wanted to buy something to drink. Here the hotel could have levelled up the pool experience and actually sold a bit extra

Gutes Hotel mit hohem Standard. Spa Bereich sollte erweitert und erneuert werden, allerdings ist das Projekt aktuell ausgesetzt. Schade da ein makeover nötig wäre. Der Rest top. Würde dennoch bald wieder kommen.

Das Hotel entspricht den typisch hohen Erwartungen an die Kempinski Gruppe. Super freundliches Personal. Mega Frühstücksbuffet, welches keine Wünsche offen lässt. Sehr sauber alles. Nette bar und lounge. Restaurant Bergstüberl kann ich besonders hervor heben, da rustikal bayrisch mit Essen am heißen Stein.

Check in: early check in was confirmed by the hotel by phone, but when we arrived we had to wait for about an hour to check in. Room: We probably got the worst room in the hotel, as close to the out door area of the bar as possible. The toilet needs a proper cleaning, it looked brown and filthy from where I stood, down the pipes. Restaurant: Different quality on the same dish on two consecutive evenings. Small menu if you are staying for more than one night. The quality was mediocre for the price point. The first night our waiter, Anna, did an excellent job - she also nailed the wine pairing! Valet service: excellent. Bar: Good drinks and nice staff, but they charge EUR 9,5 for a bottle of Purezza water (tap, filtered water)…!

Ein tolles Hotel, das wahrscheinlich etwas unter der Pandemie gelitten hat. Teile der Außenanlagen (z.B. Terrasse oberhalb des Außepools) könnten mal vom Unkraut befreit werden, und die Spinnweben an den Fenstern und Balkonen könnte man auch mal entfernen, bevor die Gäste kommen. Personal ist in den meisten Fällen ok, manchmal jedoch vergessen Sie, wer der Gast ist. Beim Frühstück wird man ziemlich zurecht gewiesen, wenn man von außen kommen und nicht den "offiziellen" Eingang nimmt - da könnte man doch einfach freundlich nach der Zimmernummer fragen und den Gast das Frühstück genießen lassen. Und die Kaminbar ist am Abend bis spät sehr laut, wenn man ein Zimmer mit Blick auf den "Innenhof" hat, da müsste man die Gäste beim buchen darauf hinweisen, dass man auf gar keinen Fall bei geöffnetem Fenster schlafen kann.... Kulinarisch ist die Kaminbar sicher am besten. Der Heisse Stein ist noch etwas Optimierter vom Ablauf...Frühstück ist super!! Zimmer sind sehr sauber und man fühlt sich pudelwohl.

The property was beautiful & well kept. The views were amazing! The staff couldn't have been more attentive. Shout out to our bartender Mathus who went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and special. All of the staff were professional, friendly, spoke good English, and were very helpful. We had a car which made getting around easy but I noticed several guests had taxi or driver pick up for rides to Salzburg. The property was so lovely I would just stay there next time and appreciate the views and trails, spa, etc. Very luxurious.

Unfortunately, we only had the opportunity to stay one night but the facility was beautiful with modern styling and wonderful views. There are many choices for activities that we would have loved to try had we had more time. The staff was great and the food very good.

Staff was friendly and helpful, and the hotel is in a quiet location with beautiful views of the surrounding mountains & within easy reach of various hiking trails. Even the basic mountain view room was spacious and comfortable, and there were some great historical sites and tourist attractions close by when I felt like doing something other than lounging around on the beautiful grounds. I'm already planning my next visit. (Shout out to Jose and Antonio for the fun conversations and useful tips about the unmarked bunkers near the hotel!)

This hotel is absolutely amazing!! Sitting atop the mountains it has an excellent view of the town below and the mountains all around!! The Eagle’s Nest is right above the hotel and pictures abound!!! Staff are amazing!! Food was amazing!!! Rooms are comfortable and have excellent views. Highly recommend staying here!!!

We stayed here for three nights and really enjoyed it. The outside facing rooms are more expensive but we had an inside west facing room on the second floor (looking onto a very large grassed area) which still had amazing views of the mountains. Nothing to dislike about this hotel.

Ein tolles Hotel, das wahrscheinlich etwas unter der Pandemie gelitten hat. Teile der Außenanlagen (z.B. Terrasse oberhalb des Außepools) könnten mal vom Unkraut befreit werden, und die Spinnweben an den Fenstern und Balkonen könnte man auch mal entfernen, bevor die Gäste kommen. Personal ist in den meisten Fällen ok, manchmal jedoch vergessen Sie, wer der Gast ist. Beim Frühstück wird man ziemlich zurecht gewiesen, wenn man von außen kommen und nicht den "offiziellen" Eingang nimmt - da könnte man doch einfach freundlich nach der Zimmernummer fragen und den Gast das Frühstück genießen lassen. Und die Kaminbar ist am Abend bis spät sehr laut, wenn man ein Zimmer mit Blick auf den "Innenhof" hat, da müsste man die Gäste beim buchen darauf hinweisen, dass man auf gar keinen Fall bei geöffnetem Fenster schlafen kann.... Kulinarisch ist die Kaminbar sicher am besten. Der Heisse Stein ist noch etwas Optimierter vom Ablauf...Frühstück ist super!! Zimmer sind sehr sauber und man fühlt sich pudelwohl.

Das Kempinski ist ein wirklich aussergewöhnlich schönes Hotel, in toller Lage. Die Zimmer sind geschmackvoll eingerichtet, relativ groß und bieten einen wunderschönen Ausblick auf die Berge. Besonders hervorzuheben sind die exzellenten, liebevolle und fürsorgliche Angestellten, die einem das Gefühl geben vom Herzen willkommen zu sein. Jeder ist bemüht die Wünsche der Gäste zu erfüllen. Auch wenn einmal etwas nicht so geklappt hat, war man sofort ohne Diskussion bemüht, den Fehler wieder in Ordnung zu bringen. Besonders schön fanden wir es, dass wir mit unserer Hündin anreisen durften, die ebenfalls liebevoll willkommen geheißen wurde. Fress- und Wassernapf standen beim Betreten des Zimmers schon bereit. Beim Beutelchen mit Hundefutter wäre eine Kennzeichnung der Inhaltsstoffe gut (Stichwort Unverträglichkeiten). Noch schöner wäre es gewesen, wenn für sie ein richtiges Hundebettchen statt nur einer Decke auf dem Zimmer bereitgestanden hätte. Der Spa- und Wellness-Bereich ist wirklich schön und auch hier ist der Service hervorragend. Der Fokus liegt auf Entspannung und Beauty-Behandlungen. Wir persönlich hätten uns mehr Massagen zum Lösen von Blockaden und das Lockern der Muskulatur gewünscht. Da kann man sich bestimmt noch etwas von Hotels im asiatischen Raum inspirieren lassen. Wir hatten einen wundervollen Aufenthalt und werden definitiv bald wieder hinreisen.

Wir kennen das Kempinski von mehreren Aufenthalten in der Vergangenheit aber dieses Mal war mehr als enttäuschend und dem Ruf eines Kempinskis nicht würdig. Der Service war unprofessionell und die Mitarbeiter wirkten unerfahren. Der Spa Bereich hat bessere Tage gesehen und an der Beheizung der Pools wurde gespart - peinlich! Das einzige, was im Restaurant als Fine Dining durchgeht sind die Preise - die Qualität der Speisen war durchschnittlich. Auch hier war der Service unterdurchschnittlich, das Essen kam viel zu spät und dann auch noch versetzt, und das bei 4 Personen. Das Frühstücksbuffet ist in Ordnung, aber auch hier ließen Bestellungen zu lang auf sich warten. Fragwürdig sind auch nächtliche Kreditkarten Autorisierungen seitens des Hotels. Darauf angesprochen versuchte uns die Rezeptionistin weis zu machen, dass dies in jedem Hotel so gemacht werde. Leider haben wir auch eine Brille im Saunabereich liegen lassen, welche seltsamerweise nie vom Personal gefunden wurde.

Room: We probably got the worst room in the hotel, as close to the out door area of the bar as possible. The toilet needs a proper cleaning, it looked brown and filthy from where I stood, down the pipes. Restaurant: Different quality on the same dish on two consecutive evenings. I’ve traveled a lot and for a premium hotel experience there is no place I’d rather go than the Kempinski In Berchtesgaden. Be nice to the staff and you will be rewarded. I’ve been here a few times and will be going back for a longer stay next time. Only hotel in the world that my wife and I don’t want to leave.

Es war ein wunderschön ruhiger und angenehmer Aufenthalt im Hotel. Wir haben die Zeit dort sehr genossen. Ein kleiner Kritikpunkt war lediglich, dass die Parkgebühren in der Tiefgarage 20 Euro pro Tag und auch der Parkplatz vor dem Hotel 10 Euro pro Tag gekostet hat. Trotzdem war es ein gelungener Kurzurlaub.

Die Kulisse rund um dieses Hotel ist wirklich beeindruckend. Die Zimmer war sehr schön und großzügig. Die Investition in seinen Soft-Close Toilettendeckel fände ich nicht verkehrt. Ansonsten ein Zimmerservice der wirklich auf zack ist. 2x täglich Handtücher gewechselt, wenn man will. Frühstücksbuffet lässt keine Wünsche offen, bei höherer Besucherzahl, können Omlets und Pan Cakes schon mal dauern, so dass man fast nicht mehr mit der Ankunft rechnet. Kinder müssen leider 18:00 Uhr die Pools verlassen, auch wenn sie nicht laut sind, es könnten ja mal Kinder kommen die laut sind, war die Erklärung. Am Pool innen gehen an wenigen kleinen Stellen schon Fliesen ab. Die Kinderkarte im Johann Grill ist überschaubar. Kommt man später zum Frühstücken wird man durchs ganze Restaurant geschleift, obwohl man vorher deutlich gesagt hat was man möchte. Die zentrale einizige Service-Kraft wird doch wissen, wo Plätze frei sind, wenn sie praktisch nix anderes macht!? Ansonsten Personal freundlich und bemüht. Uns hat es gut gefallen, aber wir haben auch schon viel im Vergleich gesehen. Da geht definitiv noch was.
Die Kulisse rund um dieses Hotel ist wirklich beeindruckend. Die Zimmer war sehr schön und großzügig. Die Investition in seinen Soft-Close Toilettendeckel fände ich nicht verkehrt. Ansonsten ein Zimmerservice der wirklich auf zack ist. 2x täglich Handtücher gewechselt, wenn man will. Frühstücksbuffet lässt keine Wünsche offen, bei höherer Besucherzahl, können Omlets und Pan Cakes schon mal dauern, so dass man fast nicht mehr mit der Ankunft rechnet. Kinder müssen leider 18:00 Uhr die Pools verlassen, auch wenn sie nicht laut sind, es könnten ja mal Kinder kommen die laut sind, war die Erklärung. Am Pool innen gehen an wenigen kleinen Stellen schon Fliesen ab. Die Kinderkarte im Johann Grill ist überschaubar. Kommt man später zum Frühstücken wird man durchs ganze Restaurant geschleift, obwohl man vorher deutlich gesagt hat was man möchte. Die zentrale einizige Service-Kraft wird doch wissen, wo Plätze frei sind, wenn sie praktisch nix anderes macht!? Ansonsten Personal freundlich und bemüht. Uns hat es gut gefallen, aber wir haben auch schon viel im Vergleich gesehen. Da geht definitiv noch was.

The Kempinski Hotel was a marvelous choice! The rooms were spacious with outstanding views. The beds were comfortable, the bathroom large, the separate his & her closets made getting settled easy. The property was beautiful & well kept. The views were amazing! The staff couldn't have been more attentive. Shout out to our bartender Mathus who went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and special. All of the staff were professional, friendly, spoke good English, and were very helpful. We had a car which made getting around easy but I noticed several guests had taxi or driver pick up for rides to Salzburg. The property was so lovely I would just stay there next time and appreciate the views and trails, spa, etc. Very luxurious.

We had an amazing stay! Top location high up on the mountain with view over Eagles Nest. The restaurant Johann Grill was excellent and so was the staff. Without a doubt the best place in Berchtesgaden area.

Property is located in one of the most beautiful alpine landscape in Germany. Hotel is surrounded by lot of hikes trails and historical significance. very close to Berchetsgarden and Konigsee one of most photogenic town. Hotel ambiance is very pleasant, staff is very professional. Restaurants has one of best fine dining restaurant and wonderful breakfast services.

Check in: early check in was confirmed by the hotel by phone, but when we arrived we had to wait for about an hour to check in. Room: We probably got the worst room in the hotel, as close to the out door area of the bar as possible. The toilet needs a proper cleaning, it looked brown and filthy from where I stood, down the pipes. Restaurant: Different quality on the same dish on two consecutive evenings. Small menu if you are staying for more than one night. The quality was mediocre for the price point. The first night our waiter, Anna, did an excellent job - she also nailed the wine pairing! Valet service: excellent. Bar: Good drinks and nice staff, but they charge EUR 9,5 for a bottle of Purezza water (tap, filtered water)…!

Obersalzberg is a beautiful location with lots of WWII history. The hotel is first class and perfectly situated in the area. Our only disappointment was paying over 30 euros for a frozen hamburger with little taste. But the included breakfast was excellent.

Best staff in the world. Best breakfast in the world. Amazing views in a 360 degree circumference. I’ve traveled a lot and for a premium hotel experience there is no place I’d rather go than the Kempinski In Berchtesgaden. Be nice to the staff and you will be rewarded. I’ve been here a few times and will be going back for a longer stay next time. Only hotel in the world that my wife and I don’t want to leave.

This spacious and modern hotel is in a fabulous location and fully deserves all the praise and acclaim it continues to receive. The Spa and pools are excellent; breakfast was lovely and plentiful, and our room super comfortable and with a magnificent view of the mountains. Highlights: swimming in the heated outdoor pool area during heavy rainfall, which was weirdly comforting, and also looking out and seeing The Eagle's Nest on top of a nearby mountain. We wouldn't hesitate to stay again if we return to the region.
