Nettes Hotel direkt in der Fußgängerzone. Eine Information dazu vorher wäre schön gewesen. Wir sind mit dem Auto angereist und dank Navi in die Wirren der verbotenen Gassen geraten. Ob das ohne Anzeige abgeht wird sich zeigen. Ein Parkhaus ist 400m entfernt und kostet 25€ pro Tag.

Room comfortable, spacious clean , slept well Interesting foyer- unicorn wall hanging! Lucky for the lifts esp with luggage. Reception staff was v helpful and friendly. In old town. But parking has to be in parking station. Problem is couldn’t drop luggage at front door as no access - had to park illegally on Cour Mirabeau- Main Street.

Right in the heart of AIX yet very quiet for sleeping. You cannot get to the hotel by car. There is a parking garage just a few minutes walk and then everything else you could want to see or do is walkable. The hotel is absolutely gorgeous inside. The concierge was extremely helpful with restaurant recommendations. Breakfast isn't included but well worth the extra price. The third floor is not accessible by elevator so make sure you specify any physical issues when booking as the stairs are steep and circular. No issues for us; just added to the charm of the entire experience. Highly recommend!!

Staff was very helpful. Everything was clean and tidy. Elevator is slow and small, though easy stairs to get around.

Beautiful lobby and dining area with a stained glass window, period paintings and library, very quiet even though it is in the heart of the retail and restaurant area. Staff excellent!

Impossible to access except on foot with no parking. Had to carry luggage 1/4 mile.

It is impossible to reach this hotel in a car. It took nearly two hours to park. Upon leaving we had to take our luggage by hand to the parking lot ten minutes away. There should be a warning to drivers. The staff tried to make up the lost day with coffee and croissants. That simply wasn't reasonable compensation for a lost half day.

Would not stay here again. Pros: Great staff, super location, nice foyer. That’s about it. Cons: Rooms are ugly, run down, and smelly. Nothing like the photos on Expedia. Our room smelled of carpet cleaner. The furniture looked so dirty that we didn't want to sit on it. Bed was hard. The bathtub was stained and looked dirty. The ceiling in the bathroom was stained, as if there had been a water leak. There is no shower curtain, so you can't avoid getting water on the floor as you stand in the dirty bathtub attempting to shower with the handheld shower. The staff do their best, but the hotel’s owners clearly don't care about guest comfort, perhaps because they know they have a great location.

Excellent emplacement, personnel délicieux. Néanmoins, une bague disparue, ainsi qu'un tee shirt Dior d'une valeur d'achat de 1000 €. Une baignoire sale, du calcaire dans la cuvette des toilettes, une applique luminaire à 1 cm du plafond (risque d'un arc électrique) des miettes sur la moquette, un coffre fort non fixé dans les règles au sol, et 6 moteurs de clim devant les fenêtres, pour une chambre de luxe à 256€ la nuit. We had a lovely sized room with a patio. Everything was just fine. Bed was comfy and clean, crib provided for our son was good. Bathroom was renovated but there was no hot water the first day, fixed on the second. We had ants in the fridge and some on the carpet too. The balcony was big but needed a clean. Carpets were quite old and need an update.

By far the worst bed I’ve ever slept in. The entire property felt old, worn and dirty, and the bathroom was just OK. To note, I came back to the hotel very late at night after a performance at the opera, and the night person was nowhere to be found. I had to wake my partner up to come and get me. The door was very complicated, and only then did the night person come and assist, but seemed annoyed that we had bothered him. Second, in the late afternoon, the fire alarm went off for five minutes, two separate times. It was extremely loud, and just miserable. Third, The air conditioner, which was very old, never worked properly, and when it did, was not very cool, and very loud. The state of this property otherwise ruined a very nice work/holiday.

The room was clean and comfortable, although like most hotels it provided a winter thickness duvee which was too hot for a mild September. The location is perfect, very central in Aix yet very quiet. One minor area for improvement would be to provide ground decaf coffee in the breakfast room. It's very easy to do these days, you can even provide a coffee bag if your coffee machine can't cope with decaf beans as well. Overall, really an excellent stay.

Chambre vétuste et énormément de moustiques. D'ailleurs les murs de la chambre portait les traces de ces derniers. Pas de couette seulement un drap, un peu léger bien que le mois de septembre soit encore chaud. Petite bouteille d'eau disponible pour 4€. Je ne recommande pas malgré que cet hôtel soit idéalement placé dans la vieille ville d'Aix-en-Provence

Beautiful and very old. So convenient to the dining and shopping. Only problem was it was very hot the days we were here. The A/C was not working well. The second night they were able to provide us with a fan though. Would highly recommend for the location. Parking was nearby as well.

We really enjoyed our stay in Aix @ des Augustins. The location was excellent - right off Cours Mirabeau and a wonderful little square with restaurants and pubs. A little rocky start as the room with terrace I booked (via description and pictures) did not exist. I’m not sure if this was an error on Expedia or hotel description of rooms; but, I was disappointed upon arrival. We were given the deluxe room that I booked, but no terrace, just windows. I was offered the comfort room with a terrace the next morning, but the room and bath were extremely tiny and there is no elevator to the third floor. We stayed in the larger room, which was a wonderful size (with sofa and twin bed) (also the bath). With the rain, we weren’t likely to use the terrace anyway. The bath has a huge jetted tub with handheld shower and no glass, so not easy to shower. Some noise from rooms above. Carpet in room a little worn, but everything seemed clean. Bonus: the room had both a coffee pod machine and kettle for tea - website had said these only bailable in common areas, so a big plus! Beautiful common areas and very receptive and helpful staff. Would definitely recommend this hotel in Aix!

Tolle Lage, bereits in der Altstadt, aber dennoch Bahnhof und Busse gut fußläufig zu erreichen. Nettes Personal, besonderes Flair im Hotel, schöne, ruhige Zimmer.

Very charming building. Bed was not great; mattress and no spring. Tub had a shower but no curtain. If you showered with the handheld it ran out all over the floor. Tub hard to get out of for a senior citizen

Wir waren im Rahmen einer Rad-Rundreise für eine Nacht dort. Unsere Fahrräder konnten sicher und kostenlos untergestellt werden. Der Check-in verlief problemlos. Das Hotel hat aufgrund seines historischen Look einen gewissen Charme. Nett. Die Zimmer waren hingegen nicht so toll. Klein und das Bad schlichtweg eine Katastrophe. Eine Mini-Sitzbadewanne ohne Vorhang oder sonstige Abtrennung. Das Badezimmer stand direkt unter Wasser. Die Matratzen waren gut. Das Frühstück war auch gut. Aber alles in allem kein gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. Ich würde nicht wiederkommen.

Aix-en-Provence is beautiful - but SO expensive. This is a superb address, just steps away from the Cours Mirabeau. The entrance is stunning: on previous visits to Aix I'd peeped in ... but now I've actually stayed here! Checking in, I felt very welcome - and I heard other guests being advised and helped very pleasantly, in French and English. But I have mixed feelings about my stay. First concern: the stairs up to the rooms from the entrance hall are VERY steep indeed - and the lift is very slow to react. You pays your money ... I was quite comfortable in room 101 (!) but it was expensive. The room was pleasantly furnished but not perfect: the electric socket next to the bed didn't work, for instance, and the over-bath shower arrangement was far from ideal - almost impossible to shower without water getting everywhere. There was an air-conditioning unit in the room but no means of turning it on. Fortunately the May weather, though hot, was not too hot, allowing me to keep the windows open. No insects/mosquitoes but there was quite a lot of street noise. This made me feel part of Aix and it didn't go on too late☺. Breakfasts were pleasant though to be honest for the price I'd have liked more savoury - maybe even cooked? - choices. Lots of good cakes, plus yoghurts, produits laitiers, etc. (standard supermarket fare). "Could do better". You simply couldn't find a more central, convenient place to stay in this wonderful town ... but maybe there are more canny choices?

Very convenient to the main area of Aix en Provence. Small room made larger by a high ceiling. Bathroom was ok. It was perfect for 3 nights, much more would have been too much.

The room and hotel were very basic, but a good value for the money. The bed was a little hard, but everything else was good. The wifi was great. Parking is adjacent to the hotel. The location is perfect. The staff were friendly and helpful. It is a solid 3 star hotel.

All good except the receptionist said we had only booked one room when we had booked two. Was eventually resolved.

The building is a monastery from the 15th century, and the staff is amazing. Excellent Service.

WARNING this Hotel are Awful and nasty to deal with! My wife and I had definitely cancelled our booking through Wotif but they still swept our credit card. When we question the charge we got a very aggressive message saying, and I quote "you were a NO SHOW". No "your trip is coming up and we look forward to seeing you", no we are about to charge your credit card" like other online platform. JUST A SNEAKY SWEEP without any warning. Terrific location and staff could not be friendlier or more helpful! Chloe in particular was a shining light - fabulous restaurant suggestions (and we are challenging), arranged a private vineyard tour with little notice, smile never left her face. Roman was also wonderful. All is all the best of the 4 hotels our France tour has had us at. Room worked and bathroom was lovely. Thank you!

The hotel was charming. The staff was friendly and professional. They spoke English, which was helpful. Located in a lively area of shops and restaurants but the hotel itself was very quiet. No parking in the immediate area. The staff recommended a convenient parking garage only a 10 minute walk from the hotel.

This lovely old hotel is right in the heart of Aix-en-Provence. Equally close to shops, restaurants, old town and the ambiance of the main squares.

I would have given this hotel 5 stars except that we were disappointed with the breakfast which was not worth what we paid for it. The room was lovely and the staff very friendly and helpful.

Interesting building, used to be a monastery. Perfect location!! Convenient breakfast every morning (extra charge). Lots of steps to third floor although elevator goes to 2nd floor. What we really appreciated about the hotel was how pleasant and helpful the staff were. We would definitely stay here again

The lobby is beautiful and accessible to use. The room was small but nicely decorated. The breakfast is a great value. The shower water drain was stopped up after one shower. The staff excellent, but we did not like the 5.80 euros compensation energetique added to our bill. We didn't notice it until we got home.

On our arrival, we were greeted by a male staff member who was exceptionally friendly & welcoming. The hotel itself is absolutely stunning with historical details & relics from its convent history. Our room was very big & comfortable with 2 window looking directly onto the street. The location was fabulous, close to restaurants, shops & transport links. Slight gripes with the bathroom. The shower needs updated- the mixer flow isn't consistent with the temperature so you can suddenly have too hot or cold water coming through. The water flow is weak also. Plus, the towels are pretty hard & thin. Would be nice to have soft, fluffy towels. On the plus side, dressing gowns, slippers & nice toiletries were on hand. We only had breakfast on the first morning, which at 15 euros each, we felt was overpriced. There wasn't an awful lot of selection & there seemed to be a delay in replenishing items. No hot items except a do it yourself boiled egg machine. My husband used this & the egg was in for 15 mins & was still liquid. Would be better to mass boil eggs for guests. Lastly, the staff member in the dining room was run off his feet so the receptionist was in helping him to the detriment of people standing at reception. Apart from these few gripes, it really is a lovely hotel & would definitely stay here again.

In the center of town. Close to dining, sites, parking etc. Secure parking garage within walking distance. Very safe location. The hotel room was very clean. AC works, but cool to a certain internal setting. Breakfast not included with cost. Need to inform them that you don’t want breakfast or you get charged.
