Reception staff were excellent, Roger in particular was very helpful and knowledgeable. We chose not to have the breakfast but it looked very nice. The spa facilities and the roof top pool area were a really great added bonus.

Very good location: just cross the bridge to visit the old town. Bus stop in front of the hotel. 20-25 minutes walk from the Guggenheim museum. The only small minus was the pool: it looked much bigger in the pictures.

Parking was far away and a challenging drive to reach! The hotel was very nice but some small things…there is no place in the bathroom for counter space. It is weird that a new hotel would be designed that way. Other than the parking it was a very nice stay!

Location was good- you could walk to the old city very easily. The pool is very small and there are no towels or umbrellas for shade. The bar at night is non existent- no scene or vibe . One sink in bathroom and no counter space for make up etc. bed was clean. I wouldn’t stay here again.

Sehr schönes Stadthotel. Super Lage direkt am Rande der Altstadt. Sehr gutes Frühstück und sehr freundliches Personal. Leider keinerlei Parkmöglichkeiten direkt beim Hotel. Es muss in einer öffentlichen Parkgarage ca. 10 Minuten zu Fuss entfernt parkiert werden.

If I could give this hotel 10 stars, I would! It was amazing! The room was spacious and very comfortable. The hotel and room were very clean and everything was so new and fresh. The staff were very friendly and allowed us to check in early which was really appreciated. It's in a very convenient location, close to the market and walking distance to lots of the sites, bars and restaurants.

Leuk hip hotel, zeer fijne ligging: brug over en in het oude stadscentrum. Weg van drukte en lawaai. Wij hadden wel een kamer aan de achterkant met zicht op… een muur. Je kon geen lucht zien, niks van uitzicht. Dus best kamer vooraan boeken! Glazen douche in kamer dus als je geen koppel bent wat moeilijk voor privacy. Luidruchtige airco. Zeeeer vriendelijk personeel en erg goed ontbijt in fijne ruimte. Prettig dakterras met zwembad en bar. Leuk!

ein sehr schönes Hotel, gutes Design, teilweise aber etwas unpraktisch, wie z.B. nicht dicht schließende Türen am WC, viel zu wenig Abstellfläche im Bad, keine Haken für Jacken oder Taschen... Adults only heißt aber definitiv nicht nur "keine Kinder.".. eindeutig Schwerpunkt Qeere Community. Nicht unangenehm, eher lustig wenn man anstatt von Schokolade als Betthupferl Kondome hingelegt bekommt ;-)

Rummet var rymligt och rent, vilket uppskattades. Ett minus var dock det begränsade utrymmet för kläder – garderoben var väldigt liten. Frukosten var helt okej med ett brett utbud att välja mellan. Däremot var vissa detaljer mindre lyckade: pain au chocolat kändes lite tråkiga, och honungsmelonen var ibland inte färsk – troligen hade den stått utanför kylen för länge. Personalen vid frukosten kunde ha varit mer välkomnande. Ett leende på morgonen gör stor skillnad och det saknades tyvärr ofta.

Rene og store rom, gode senger. Hyggelige, behjelpelige og imøtekommende personale. God frokost. Søndagen dro vi avgårde før frokostbuffeten åpnet, og da lagde de i stand frokostpose som vi fikk med. Fin beliggenhet ved elva, og rett ved gamlebyen. Anbefaler virkelig andre å bo på dette hotellet.

Das Hotel ist, weil es auch neu ist, in einem guten Zustand. Frühstück war ausreichend. Personal ist sehr, sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Auch das kleine Gym hat super neue Geräte. Was anzumerken ist, dass das Hotel sehr hellhörig ist. Und auch wenn eine Zimmertür zugefallen ist, merkt man davon die Vibrationen.

Lovely new hotel with friendly and helpful staff. The only downside was the toilet in the room. There is a gap all around the door so no sound privacy should you need to go to the loo and your partner is in the room.

The staff were amazing and the hotel very nice, close to old town. My only 2 negatives were the breakfast wasn't great - eggs were very wet / inedible and selection not very good, and the bathroom design is really weird, so you can see your partner showering / hear them using the toilet (no door!), which gives lack of privacy. Otherwise a pleasant stay.

Lovely quiet room. City view room was not of the city- faced a block wall! Asked Robin ( reception) for alternative - very unhelpful and rude. Didn’t tell us details of spa /hotel etc when we checked in. Told us to come back at 3pm only to discover our bags had not been put inside luggage room - had been left outside the door unattended and also no room change requested! Robin was going off shift at 3! Hotel very nice, good location.

The hotel staff were super nice, especially on reception, always happy to give directions or a recommendation. The room is nice, we had a lovely gesture on one of our birthdays, when chocolates and a free drinks token for the both of us at sky bar was left, what a lovely touch! Not many sun loungers by the pool but is only a roof terrace to be fair. Only other feedback is that the hanging situation is a smidge impractical if you are a lady and bring lots of dresses. You need to move the tea and coffee station for your clothes to actually hang. That feature is more aesthetic than practical. Otherwise the hotel is lovely, with good facilities and lush location next to the old town.

Grunden til karakteren "Godt" skyldes at bartenderen ved svimmingpoolen både er uforskammet og arrogant ex. ingen/sparsom oprydning, taler ned til folk, blev bedt om at skrue lidt ned for musikken -> ligeglad og skruede endda op etc. For hotellet betyder den kundefjendtlige attitude langt lavere omsætning/indtjening

Das Hotel ist wirklich schön! Jedoch eher für junge Leute gedacht, ein sehr offenes Konzept. Meine Eltern (65) sehe ich hier nicht 😅 Cooles Gesamtkonzept, hat mich sehr angesprochen. Fitnessstudio war ok, etwas klein. Lage war gut, jedoch auch bahnhofsnah und dadurch etwas gefährlicher. Wir haben unser Auto 2 Nächte auf dem Saba Parking (Bahnhof) abgestellt und es würde aufgebrochen. Die Mitarbeiter im Hotel waren weniger überrascht.

Great location to visit Bilbao. Riverfront and across from the Old Quarter. Walking distance to all the Pinxtos bars. 1 mile from the Guggenheim Museum, but the cable car is across the street. Breakfast is really good with Cava being poured. The gym is better than most hotels with free weights and pulley machine. The gym has its own shower and bathroom. Overall, great stay and location.

We stayed for 2 nights at Axel Bilbao. Room was nice and spacious, especially liked the large shower. Location was convenient just across the bridge from old town. However, the streets right behind the hotel up the hill was sketch and didn’t feel as safe to walk according to taxi driver and we saw some fights break out among locals.

We spent a week in the newly opened Axel Hotel in Bilbao. Our choice turned out to be perfect in every possible way. The staff in every area is outstanding, friendly, smiling, accommodating from the Reception to kitchen/bar staff, housekeeping. It is hard to name all but wanted to thank Luz for her big smile and attentiveness each morning during breakfast. She picked up on my husband’s birthday and the hotel arranged a birthday greeting and a gift that was left in our room. The breakfast is a treat. The room is spacious and well equipped. The bathroom with rain shower is a delight and separate WC is ideal. The king bed was very comfortable. The location is ideal, as located close to public transport, walkable to nearly everything, and on the river Nervion. Behind the hotel is Abando with the museums and across the bridge is Casco Viejo (old town). A wonderful location.
