Lovely hotel, excellent breakfast, friendly staff, big room with blackout curtains and a great shower. In the bathroom is shower gel, moisturiser, shampoo, and conditioner. The bus to town is right outside and lots of parking space if you have a car. Just a 12 minute walk to the lovely old town. From the centre you can get a bus to the Gaztelugatxe walk (Game of Thrones) which takes and hour. There is free tea and coffee in the bedrooms and a water fountain in the hallway with room temperature, iced, or sparkling water. There’s also free wi-fi and a free gym (on the first floor). The staff are friendly and multi-lingual.

Nice hotel with a good bar in the lobby and a decent restaurant. The room was spacious and clean but lacked in interior decorating - a couple of pictures on the walls was about all. The biggest downside was that the room was hot at night as, like others we encountered on this trip, they had the heat on with no option for air conditioning. The explanation that the AC is programmed to start in mid May is weak as there have been consistent heat waves in February and April. If you are driving to the hotel and need to drop off your rental car at the airport my recommendation is to drop off your bags with the concierge, leaving the car on the small concrete apron near the front door for a few minutes, then check in when you return from the airport.

Do hotel para o centro antigo, é necessário fazer uns 15 min de caminhada, mas tenha em conta de que na volta, terá que subir a rua. Quarto confortável, mas precisando de alguma manutenção. Se é alérgico a cães, neste hotel há muitos. Leve isto em consideração. A sala de fitness é uma das melhores que já vi em hoteis. Garagem paga, mas com bastante vaga para estacionar. Café da manhã com bastante variedade. Funcionários simpáticos. No restaurante, o garçom não gostou quando nosso grupo de 8 pessoas quis pagar separado (cada um a sua parte). Disse que não podia fazer daquela forma. Deveria ter avisado antes, que sentávamos em mesas separadas. É muito comum cada casal pagar sua parte, principalmente se o pagamento é feito com cartão. No fim das contas, acabou aceitando. A decepção mesmo foi a limpeza do banheiro. Havia pequenas larvas no fundo do vaso sanitário, que voltavam mesmo que puxássemos a descarga. Impossível a camareira não ter visto quando limpou o quarto e não ter reportado o problema. Nojento!

Hotel a pochi minuti dal centro, si raggiunge facilmente con il bus 77 proprio sotto l'hotel. Particolare attenzione alla sostenibilità ambientale sia nel fornitissimo kit di cortesia, sia nei distributori di acqua alla spina presenti su ogni piano. Personale molto gentile e disponibile, camere ampie e ben arredate. Sebbene la colazione fosse estremamente cara (quindi non ne ho usufruito), ho apprezzato la presenza della macchina del caffè espresso in camera.

Close to Casco Viejo and Centro, but far enough removed from the hubbub of those areas to ve very restful. Ridiculously spacious room and water dispensers in the lonby and hall with some of the most delicious mineral water I've encountered.

Location was 1 mile from town and would be a difficult walk for folks that aren’t use to do upward climbs. Our shower was leaking all over the restroom floor and had mold build up on tile 👎

Woke up after the first night covered in hair, someone else's hair. How utterly disgusting that they didn't clean the bedding. Solo traveller so of course they stuck me right by the lift, must be a hotel rule, they all do it. Was give two single beds (for one person?!?!?!) Instead of a double. Insulting. The whole hotel feels hollow and unwelcoming. Really disappointed and no where near worth the money I paid Desk staff were kind and helpful, the hotels only saving grace.

La chambre tres grande, personnel chaleureux et agreable. Accepte les toutous 20e par chien un peu cher mais agreable de trouver un hotel qui les acceptent. Point negatif salle de bain joint noir, sale, et qui meriterait un meilleur amenagement et nettoyage.

Esta vez no he estado tan cómoda como siempre. La habitación amplia, 3 camas individuales para mi sola hace que sea poco acogedor. La ducha estaba manchadísima de cal, quiero pensar que era cal…cené dos noches, los nodles pasables, la hamburguesa muy salada. El desayuno muy rico y variado, como siempre

We had an excellent stay at HGB.The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet was excellent and definitely worth the price. The room was very clean and comfortable. The location is not ideal, but not bad, either, and for the price it's worth walking a bit more to get to to where all the Bilbao action is.

Duchas sucia llena de Cal, suelo con hilos de la fregona. Habitaciones ruidosa, se oía al de al lado. Siendo una reserva de 2 noches de una persona, me asignan una habitación co 3 camas individuales, le solicito el cambio y aunque lo hicieron, no les gustó y les costó bastante hacerlo. Buenas instalaciones de gimnasio.

Es hat uns super gut gefallen. 20 Minuten Fußweg von den Sehenswürdigkeiten entfernt. Fancy Unterkunft mit freundlichem Personal. Nicht gefallen: Im Badezimmer roch es unangenehm nach Kanalisation :(

par une journée où il fait 30 degrés sur Bilbao, ma climatisation ne fonctionne pas. à 13h j informe l'accueil qui ne fait rien. A 21h30 j'informe encore l accueil, le gars ne fait rien, il me demande d'attendre dans la chambre, une blague. A 23h je descend faire un scandale à l'accueil, le gars avait changé, il me change enfin de chambre. cette fois là clim fonctionne, ouf...... sinon l'hôtel est propre, agréable. un peu loin du centre ville à pied.

I asked for a double bed in advance during booking. We get to the room and there are 2 twin beds. My partner goes back to reception to get the correct room. Even though I’m a gold member and had a free upgrade available, they charged us to change the room to one with a double bed. We got to the new room and it was clean and had a view of the mountains. The problem was how hot it was. I turned the AC on and the temp all the down to cool off, but it never did. We couldn’t sleep with the window open either because it was noisy on the street. We complained the next day and they said they’d fix it from their end twice, but that never happened. It stayed hot the entire time, which was very uncomfortable. Besides that, there was only a mini fridge in the room, no microwave. Be aware that the drinks inside aren’t free. Housekeeping tried to come by both mornings, but she never knocked—just opened the door and turned around when she realized we were still asleep. The first time it happened, I jumped up to see who it was. I think we forgot to lock the door honestly. She didn’t speak English, but she was sorry. I made sure to put the DND sign on the door and lock it the next night. Somehow though she still came in the following morning. Anyway, we checked out a few hours later and wanted to sit at a table near the bar. A worker tried to tell us we couldn’t and to eat in our room, which we didn’t have anymore. I gave him a hard time, so he left us alone after. I don’t think I’ll go back.

die Zimmer sind einfach aber sauber mit bequemen Betten. Sehr ringhörig. Wir bekamen leider die Behindertenzimmer wo das Bad total unpraktisch für uns war, das WC zu hoch und aus der Dusche spritze es raus. Es hatte aber eine Nespresso Maschine im Zimmer mit leider nur 2 Kaffes pro Tag. Frühstück war fantastisch, Lage etwas ausserhalb, aber gut mit Bus erreichbar.

Loved it. Rooms are huge, clean and comfortable. Reception friendly and helpful. Breakfast was incredible, so much choice and all fresh, tasty food. Location slightly out the way but 10 mins walk to the Metro, not a bother for the quality of the hotel.

El hotel está cómodo y las habitaciones amplias. Pero una de las mujeres de recepción fue un poco ruda durante el check in. Los que somos de fuera muchas veces no estamos acostumbrados a que sean tan críticos al no entenderles como hablan. Me pidió la dirección en México de mi pareja y cuando le dije que “la misma” me contestó que la misma no era dirección que necesitaba calle y número. Al final mejoró su actitud pero no es la mejor manera de llegar después de dos horas de carretera

Poor service, unpleasant strong fragrance in reception and hallways which gave us a headache. Didn’t feel like a four star hotel, 3 at best. Rooms and particularly bathroom watching not cleaned well. We were taken aback when we were provided with a disabled room upon early check-in without being informed beforehand. We absolutely understand and respect the necessity of accessible rooms for guests in need, and we would have been more than willing to wait for a standard room if necessary. However, it was disappointing that the staff did not communicate this to us beforehand.

Pros: Nice modern hotel. Comfortable rooms and beds. Very powerful shower. Room was clean. Staff were friendly. Not too far from the old town. Good value for money. Cons: While not too far from the old town, it is up a steep hill so a lot easier on the way to the old town rather than on the way back to the hotel. While we got unlucky, check-in was too slow - took in excess of 20 minutes. In fairness, it was busy but would be good if more staff were available for busy periods.

Makkelijk te vinden hotel als je Bilbao binnenrijdt. De kamers zijn fantastisch voor een gezin met 2 kinderen. De kamers zijn groot en de kinderen liggen op een stapelbed. Taxis into town are readily available and can be picked up for the return from many ranks around the city (except during a thunderstorm as everyone stays away!)The staff are wonderful and friendly. This property is conveniently located just outside the old city area with a city bus stop right outside the hotel and the tram a short walk. Big shout out to the front desk for getting us into our room early was we arrived from an early morning flight at 11am!! The breakfast buffet was fantastic- I highly recommended it! The staff stored our luggage at the end of our stay and was very helpful with recommendations !

Very big room which was comfortable and quiet, the bathroom was big as well but the shower was too small for an adult. Breakfast was very good but the dinner menu was very dissappointing with poor menu and quality.

The hotel is great but I could hear every single voice, step, chair pulling, water running or toilet flushing from adjacent rooms. The walls are literally paper thin and the elevators have a really weird system of operating when going between two floors can take about five minutes, no exaggeration. Amazing breakfast made up for all that.
