Only thing that I didn’t like is the breakfast was hotdog chunks instead of breakfast sausage or bacon, weird choice but was still food at least

We traveled to Toronto to celebrate our son’s 2nd birthday over the weekend of August 29–31, 2026, and stayed at the Woodbine Hotel & Suites. Our main reasons for visiting Toronto were to take our son to Ripley’s Aquarium and visit Niagara Falls. We drove approximately eight hours from Maryland for this family trip and were really looking forward to celebrating his birthday and enjoying our weekend. We arrived at the hotel around 8:00 PM after the long drive. Unfortunately, finding parking was immediately difficult. The hotel’s parking lots were full, and we had to circle the property approximately three times before finally finding a parking space. There was apparently a large party/event taking place at the hotel that evening. I asked the front desk whether parking was normally this difficult, and I was told that weekends can be like this because the hotel has large events and parties. After an approximately eight-hour road trip with our 2-year-old son, we were exhausted and simply wanted to get settled into our room, unpack, and rest. We were given Room 237. Unfortunately, once we entered the room, we were very disappointed. The room was small and extremely outdated, and the carpet and flooring were visibly worn. We also noticed a serious issue where the carpet met the flooring. There were exposed/protruding carpet tack strips and staples sticking up from the floor.
