Elevator sounded like it was about to fall! It jumped and shook going up and down! It scared both myself and my wife! Heater cover was broken and laying on the floor when we opened the door to room 522. I have pictures. The head of maintenance came up and pushed it back into place, but it was still broken, and it fell off during our stay during the night! We were also charged $42.53 to park our car in the open-air parking lot even with our handy-cap placard. This was their own parking lot! Check the guest record. There was an almost empty parking lot! This hotel is getting ready for a refurbish next year and yet we were charged for parking?! The front desk representative was very understanding, but she said there was nothing she could do about these unfair charges. We are seeking a refund of the parking and also a discount for the less than acceptable accommodations and unsatisfactory hotel conditions. We even asked to be moved, but that was not taken seriously.

Hotel was good. Room clean and comfy beds. Elevators need to be replaced. Pool was not open after I called 12 hours prior to confirm. It was green and disgusting. We picked this hotel because of the pool. Breakfast was good. Staff friendly. Needs some tlc but was a good stay.

Stayed here for many years. Property has gone downhill. Elevator door not working properly. Both treadmills out of service. Ice machines out of service on my floor. No longer have a shuttle to take guests to/from downtown. 2 day stay. Room not cleaned until I left. Shade missing in window so no way to close out light at night. Disappointing.

I believe this Hampton Inn is unlike any other Hampton and I have been to and stayed in. The sidewalks should be power washed on the outside because they are filthy dirty. You should be warned about the parking fee downtown in your own parking lot, which cost me $70 for two days. Which pretty much makes up for the $124 a night stay which I thought was a good deal at first. Your elevator should be air-conditioned. The condition of the floor in the air elevator was very poor and dirty and broken tiles. Oh the noise in the morning was amazing as we were near an elevator and even the wheels in the cart that carried dirty laundry squeak to so loudly. Your help should learn to not talk so loudly because some people sleep in in the morning. So, overall I gave you a very poor rating.

Hotel is very tired and needs updating . Breakfast is basic . Pool was not clean and only had two sun loungers for the entire hotel - one of which was broken . Rooms were very clean and staff exceptionally helpful and kind .

The staff was wonderful! The property itself could use a little TLC. The pool area needs a cleaner pool (greenish water) and all the furniture was coming apart and in almost unusable condition. We booked there for the shuttle and found out at check in no longer is this a feature of the hotel. Disappointed overall.

We swapped rooms 3 times due to mold in the bathrooms, last bathroom had mold growing under the caulking by the tub and shotty patchwork done on the ceiling in the bathroom. Covering above driveway outside lobby also had significant mold growth. Hallways were musty, floor tiles broken and entire place seemed run down.

The breakfast staff and area was excellent. The hotel is a bit rundown. The automatic door to the parking lot didn't properly work. Our room had mildew on the bathroom ceiling and in the tub. It lacks a lot of attention to detail like ripped wallpaper, stains on the walls of our room, tiles missing in the hallways, and there was a musty smell in the halls. The location is great for being near downtown and Vanderbilt.

Unfortunately I was quite disappointed in this hotel. For the price, it really should have been in better condition. Everything just seems like it has a layer of funk on it. There was mold in the bathroom. Carpets were disgusting throughout the facility. Ice machine didn't work. I never once saw a luggage cart. We were there for 4 days and had a ton of stuff to carry in/ out. I was left to lug it all up to the 4th floor with my 13 year old. Frustrating.

Hotel was nice and reasonably priced. Room was clean but lights were not working well. Unfortunately some rude guests came in and made a lot of noise for two hours at 12:30 in the morning. Children slamming doors all the time. Disturbed sleep and I am sure the entire floor. Not the hotels fault but I would think management would step in and enforce quiet hours. It was ridiculous!

There was NOT sufficient walk area for my dogs. Had to cross the back fence onto another hotels property. The toilet had a crack in it and was wobbly to sit on. The tub looked like it had not been cleaned in weeks with black stuff at the bottom of the tub. The bathroom door was painted sloppy. The air condition was not very cool. Felt at best like a FAN. The elevators were too slow and took forever to respond.

There is literally zero water pressure in the shower. It took forever for me to get shampoo to see from my shoulder length hair. I’ll never stay at a Hampton Inn again. $233 each night and I only showered once.

The first room I was given smelled like smoke and toilet wouldn't flush. The front desk staff gave me a different room that was better but bathroom and bathroom floor needed to be cleaned. The elevator floor had broken tiles on it. Someone could trip and get injured. The breakfast was late getting put out. Supposed to start at 6am. I had a 3 hr drive and needed to leave. At 5:58am, I asked the worker if I could have a muffin so I could get on the road. They said breakfast starts at 6am.The hotel now charges for parking which I understand that happens in larger cities but the Hampton next to Vanderbilt Hospital gets a lot of patients and family memeber staying there. I overhead one man who was checking in saying he was getting a double bypass in the morning and drove from Cleveland, OH. Why charge these people another $41/day to park. Seems insinsitive.

This was not a particularly pleasant stay. The hotel itself was nice enough from the outside and inside. The Wi-Fi did not work. The fitness room treadmill did not work. On the first night, at no later than 7 AM in the morning, there was a worker with a blower blowing leaves in the parking lot of the hotel. It was extremely distracting and impossible to sleep. The breakfast was OK at best. The price of the hotel was very high for the low level of services provided. They charged $25 a night for parking which may be common for the hotels in that area, I don’t know. But I felt for the amount that I was charge for the room it should have been included. I was really disappointed with the stay. I would not stay there again.

Felt like it could use some renovations. Elevator was shabby. Room had a goofy smell to it. Door hinges and door frames were scratched and beat up. Staff was very nice however. No complaints about the people who worked there, just poorly maintained and out of date hotel.

Good location but our room (120) was at the rear of the hotel and it was very loud during the night with 3 garbage trucks emptying dumpsters at 3:30-4:00 am and again about 45 minutes later

Very disappointed in this Hampton Inn. The staff seemed to have little pride in their work (the place was filthy) and a toxic work culture. Any person we encountered in the hallways or on the elevator was not welcoming or offered a hello. We had a broken light that blinked all night outside our window. We asked to have it turned off, and the manager was rude. She did not sympathize or offer any type of solution. She called maintenance and asked them if they could turn it off and the response on the walkie talkie was "No." She told us the hotel was fully booked and changing rooms wasn't an option. We were told earlier when we asked about parking that the hotel was not booked so parking would not be an issue. It seemed that the management said whatever they felt needed to be said to avoid an issue. The only bright spot was the lovely people who worked the breakfast. They had manners and were helpful. It would have been nice to know that parking was not included in the hotel rate. We are not from a big city and didn't realize we had to pay that separately. Again, the staff treated us like we were clueless. I could not recommend this hotel to anyone.

We arrived shortly after 4PM. The staff informed us our room was not ready, and told us to wait about half an hour. We waited, called, and still we had to wait another half hour. We ended up waiting for around an hour, and didn’t get our rooms until 5:30PM.

LaNiqua (front desk supervisor) was AMAZING!!! The front desk was extremely busy and what a professional she is!!! She greeted everyone who got in line to check in!!! She handled the chaos very well and never flustered. Every hotel should have a LaNiqua working there!! I asked for a "quiet" room and she delivered!!! Room was very clean & towels were great!!! Great water pressure in the shower. Whenever im passing through Nashville, this is where i will be staying!!! My sister was very impressed with the workout room!!

Check in was very unpleasant. the staff person was rude and unhelpful. After she gave us keys to our room she later had to inform us that she gave us the wrong keys and had to give us a different room. Later we discovered that upon using the QR code on the check-in counter to pay for parking, we paid for a membership in an e-book club and not for parking. She informed us that this was not her problem and we were forced to try to remedy this ourselves for the next hour. Not to mention the stress and anxiety of our card being potentially hacked. I will never stay here again or recommend this to place to anyone.

We did not stay - trying to check in around 12:30 AM after a late night arrival was terrible, the reservation was not held that we made before the flight - the attendant did not care - there were many people loitering outside the hotel - we did not feel safe or that the staff cared much about the quality of the hotel.

Walkable to bars on Music Row and several eateries (recommend The Row for good eats directly next to hotel). Bus stop at the corner of hotel parking lot takes you downtown for two bucks. Clean room and nice enough bathroom with good water pressure. Comfy pillows and mattresses. Will stay again when I come back.

Easy to hop on the city bus and get anywhere without hassle. You might want to consider a bus pass, if you travel by city bus a lot. Friendly people at the hotel and anywhere we went. Will do it again and stay here at this hotel

A nice, clean room. Friendly no-frills service. Exactly what most would expect from a hotel. Great location. Centrally located for a walk to centennial Park (my favorite park) or go The opposite direction to downtown. About a mile from the hotel but a nice walk

I had a room on the "non-smoking" floor, but it reeked of weed all weekend (early morning, afternoon, evening, late night). The non-stop weed, plus a few icky/sticky surfaces (e.g. tv remote) created an overall skeevy vibe. Great location and decent breakfast though (very entertaining staff member sang throughout breakfast which was a highlight).

Our room was clean, the AC worked. Our mattresses were comfortable and we had a good choice of pillows to choose from. The only thing that we would change would be a few more plug ins. We each had one by our bedside lamp for our CPAPs, but then there was no room to plug up our cell chargers, so that was a little inconvenient. Traffic and sirens woke us up a few times during the night, but that's not the hotels fault, it's just the city. We enjoyed the hotel being next to and in walking distance of a few eateries and bars. The included breakfast was good, eggs, sausage or eggs, sausage patties and biscuits and gravy, also a good selection of pastries, two waffle makers, fresh fruit, cereal and yogurts. The staff was very friendly and helpful!

We really enjoyed the breakfast, each morning the meat and potato dishes changed. Nice variety of food. Especially enjoyed the waffles each morning. Plenty of food to choose from. The staff was all very nice to us! Will definatley stay there again one day if we get back to Nashville.

Location is great right off the busy part of Broadway but still a few places that are walkable. $25 per night for parking is a little high considering you will probably ride share. The room was very comfortable and fresh with a great shower. Breakfast was delicious better than most complementary meals. We will stay here again.
