The parking or lack there of was an issue for us. We were told to park on the street or pay $62 for valet. There was no parking at this hotel! If you parked anywhere near, you got a parking ticket. Marriott, do better. I didn’t pay $275 a night to park my car on a narrow street under construction.

Clean, quiet, modern, and safe!!! Loved that it was across the street from the park and the Parthenon! Some walkable food options as well. The mandatory valet parking is nice but pretty pricey at $60 a day! The valet guys are super nice and quick, and you can request your car from your phone so we rarely waited longer than a minute for our car. We would stay here again!

Our room was perfect, very clean and comfortable. Lobby was lovely. We had lunch before heading to a Vanderbilt basketball game, great location for walking to the game. After the game we were thrilled there was a shuttle service provided by Marriott. Marco the driver was so polite and professional. We arranged for Marco to pick us up after dinner and he dropped us off for an evening on Broadway. Shuttle service ends at 9:30 so we taxied back to the hotel. We were hoping to have a nightcap at the bar since we were back well before midnight closing. We were very disappointed when the bartender informed us she had closed early and could not serve us. The menu at lunch appeared to be reduced considerably compared to the menu posted outside. Just a couple of disappointments but otherwise a nice stay.

We loved being across from Centennial Park & the Parthenon - much nicer than noisy DT! Our room was spacious & quiet (except for during the football game which is expected but it was great to see excited fans and get a home team win!). Huge shout out to the Valet team. They are kind and courteous and super helpful! We loved the free shuttle service provided by those guys.

We really enjoyed it here. Super close to campus and I gotta say it was one of the most comfortable beds ever. We were pleasantly surprised! The gym was cool and looks over the stadium, very clean. Pillows were great. Friendly staff. Just a nice easy visit!!

My only complaint is the sharp sewage smell when you enter the lobby. I also noticed it about 7 month ago too. I assume it is related to the stadium construction next door but it should be addressed immediately. Other than that it is a very convenient property location if visiting Vanderbilt.

My daughter and I stayed here while my husband was in the hospital. Upon arrival, the smell of sewer in the lobby and main areas nearly took our. breathe away. It was overwhelming. Thankfully the room did not have the strong odor. The sewer odor was still very much there at check out the next day. Had we not been so tired, we would have gone somewhere else, but we are lifetime platinum elite members and this property was convenient in proximity. Room was comfortable and quiet. The front desk originally sent us to wrong room as well and we had to go back down to the desk with all of our belongings which was a little tasking after being so tired and just wanting to settle in with showers and a good nights sleep. We requested 2 queens and were sent to a king room. On our profile, it states no feather due to health issues. All but one of the pillows were feather. I had to call for replacements to be delivered before we could go to bed. M Club was mediocre but clean.

Outside seating for restaurant area was absolutely filthy. Hadn’t been cleaned for quite some time. We were told we could sit outside to have our coffee but wasn’t told how dirty everything was. Dead cicadas everywhere with very dirty furniture and patio. We left and went somewhere else.

Nashville trip was for a Vandy game. It is perfect location. Walkable to stadium, restaurants, and Centennial Park. Everything was very clean, good food and friendly service. It is also an easy drive from airport. Highly recommend!

Nice large room, clean though room had a slight musty smell noticed when first entering. Restaurant was short staff the one morning I went there for coffee and juice. Waitress was pleasant but overwhelmed, acting as both hostess and waitress.

Walkable to Vanderbilt is the major plus. Did not get the king bed we had reserved. Shuttle would not answer phone after he told us to call him back 30 minutes before we needed him. Desk people were very helpful. Beds comfortable. Carpet in halls super dirty.

The location of this hotel is great. Right on the Vanderbilt campus. Walkable to parts of music row and Hillsboro Village. Easy to get to downtown Nashville. Just surprised that Wi-Fi is not included for all reservations.

The room was clean and adequate. There was no decorative aesthetic at all, no artwork, no color- just a room painted dark gray, a gray sofa, silver/gray drapes and the bed with white sheets. Drab and boring. The staff was courteous. I expect more than a clean room and a courteous staff when paying nearly $300.00 for a room for one night. Very disappointed.

The rooms were fantastic, clean, and with an incredible view of the Vandy football field, which made the kids' day. We had also asked for a quiet room, on New Year's Eve, and the room did not disappoint. We had actually moved from another Nashville hotel, which was absurdly loud, and slept great at the Mariott. Fantastic experience overall.

We stayed only 1 night to drop our daughter to Vanderbilt summer program. I think they gave us the worst room ever - on the 3rd floor overlooking the roof with sever A/Cs that were working entire night making pretty loud and annoying sound. The hotel was definitely not full so I am not sure why we got this room but I need to come back to Nashville in 2 weeks and I will not stay in this hotel just to avoid getting a room where I cannot sleep due to loud noise. Otherwise, the hotel is clean and have a great location if you need to be close to Vanderbilt. They don’t have parking, and valet is $52 per night.

The property is tired, the air conditioning is loud, does not really cool, and keeps you up all night unless you're used to sleeping inside a jet engine. the first room we were given was so lud, we got upgraded to the 'concierge' level, which really meant nothing in terms of quality of room or bedding or AC. I have stayed at marriots around the world and this is without doebt the worst. Not to mention the 50$ valet that takes 15 minutes to get your car.

Lighting in the room was very very dim. Only bright light was in the bathroom. View from our room was beautiful. Bed was large, pillows were Comfortable but mattress topper was worn out and bunched up no matter how many times you tried to fix it.

Checked in a little early 3:00 had to put our name on check in waitlist. Waited and hour and half. Came back at 4:30 checking to see where we were with getting a room. Lady said we haven’t Checked in and our name wasn’t on list. We were late to our destination by a hour and half so missed part of our function. Tried waiting at bar to wait, bartender had zero personality. We were purchasing drinks and she told us we couldn’t wait in the bar area. Overall just not happy

Our experience with this hotel was extremely disappointing. When we arrived for check-in, we were told the hotel was oversold — something we were never notified about ahead of time. Instead of honoring our reservation, the staff directed us to another property about 20 minutes away. Unfortunately, when we got to the second hotel, we learned no reservation had ever been made for us. It took over an hour for the staff there to finally find a room. After a long day of travel, this was stressful, frustrating, and completely unacceptable.

I would have reviewed this property higher if not for the fact that I have been trying to speak to someone there since the hour after I checked out and it is evidently impossible. My husband left shirts in the closet. Multiple emails (including responses to THEIR emails to me asking about my stay, calls to the hotel, nothing here a response. The property is completely adequate but I won’t stay there again.

The valet/shuttle/parking staff in front of the location - were amazing, kind, friendly, and absolutely helpful. It was conveniently located so that you would be able to get places, but it was not worth the cost of $400 USD a night. The room is comfortable, basic, but nothing spectacular. They charged me a $30 US fee for early check-in; my flight put me in 2.5 hours earlier than the 4 PM check-in. The Marriott, in my entire history of staying with them, has never charged me. Given that the check out time is 11 AM and I left at 8 AM - and they didn’t refund me for leaving early, I found the fee ridiculous. I also found one of the front desk personnel, not very helpful. I had called twice from my room to advise them that I needed a first aid kit; I had cut my ankle getting out of the shower. After being placed on hold the second time I had to hang up because they took too long - also they never called me back to follow up. Overall, it’s a fine place to stay - but to me, it was not worth the amount that I paid.

I received the best customer service and kindness I have ever had at the check in desk with Aarushi. She immediately made us feel welcome and also gave us such a lovely birthday surprise in the room. She is such an asset to your team and I as long as she is there, I will continue to stay at Marriott at Vanderbilt for every Nashville trip. Please give her a big thank you! She helped set the tone for an amazing weekend.

All staff were amazing, but special shout out to valet staff (led by William), who were exceptionally helpful during a busy Vanderbilt & Belmont move-in weekend. Cannot say enough about how seamless, smooth & pleasant they made this piece of things. Thank you!! We will be back!!

We always come to this hotel and with our pup! Love the location - $7 uber ride to Broadway. Quiet and hotel is clean and offers great food options. Starbucks right next to hotel and PF changs.

We were very disappointed with this Marriott, as we usually have a good experience. There is MAJOR construction going on around the hotel that made it loud, difficult to navigate and complex with parking. The cost for parking was ridiculous (what they charge in NYC) and there were no other choices - because of the construction it took forever to get our car. The hotel lobby smelled terrible - not sure what it was - maybe mildew? The rooms did not provide a blow dryer - when requested I had to call down several times to housekeeping and ended up not getting one (over an hour). We ordered room service but the process was again complicated - had to input a credit card into the system beforehand instead of the traditional way of putting the charge on the room. We will NOT be staying here again when we visit our son.

Kind and hospitable staff in every area of the property! Immaculate!! Great location to walk to Vanderbilt University. Drawbacks: $45 tax daily valet fee (no other option); only a sit-down (expensive) breakfast option on-site or Starbucks. Would have been nice to have a few more mid-range and speedy breakfast/lunch options.
