Holiday Inn Austin -Town Lake by IHG

Great location next to the Lake. Walking distance to Lady Bird Lake and trails. Lots of good restaurants nearby.

We had a room with a great view. Fridge was an excellent touch. Parking was free and easy

It was a good stay for a few nights though did not appreciate the early knock on my door asking when I was checking out when I still had 3.5 hours left on my stay. Every moment of sleep was needed for my long day and long drive back home but that didn’t happen and the trip home was a struggle. If I’m there after checkout please harass me , I get that, but if I’m paying for a place to sleep…let me sleep.

Rooms are definitely overpriced compared to the quality. Rooms aren’t very updated and you’re really just paying for the “downtown” convenience

A perfect rating is in order. Very clean, in a safe area and within walking distance of Rainey District (and 6th street if you don’t mind getting a few steps in!) Public transportation is also available and I was able to get to the hotel from the airport for $1.25 on a direct bus. The staff is incredible. They even organized a free ride to a concert at the Moody Center with their airport shuffle because the driver didn’t have anything booked at the time. The pool overlooks the beautiful lake and green space. I really enjoyed my time here. Bed was comfortable. A+++
