Hotel has really gone down. We used to stay here every year. Pool tiles falling off, torn lounge chairs etc. service is sub par - poolside bar staff don’t clean up around the pool deck… cups and leftover food. Bees swarming trying to get into the sugary drinks. Still a great view but needs a refresh, maintenance, and larger more capable service staff. Also the bathroom still has outdated shower curtain that smells of mildew.

We love the infinity pool overlooking Lake Travis. We also love the covered balconies overlooking the lake. The PURE rooms are a wonderfully clean options for those with health needs. An air purifier is running in the room and a purifying water filter is on the shower for a clean chlorine free shower. Staff is always kind and willing to help. Great getaway for couples or families with separate pool areas so everyone enjoys their pool time. Lakeway Marina is near the resort and great for renting boats, jet skis and other water toys for a fun time on the lake.

Hot tub by pools not working whole time we were there, was not told this at booking Not cool at all !! No outdoor bathrooms, must walk by person back out thru gate and back inside hotel for bathrooms, very inconvenient Not cool, bad set up Spa personnel not savy, came out finished, where is my partner, finished yet ? No she is still inside, I wait 20 plus minutes before my partner calls me, hey where are you I have been back at room waiting for you … Not cool at all !! Not able to play any sort of music on the tv, channels or plug in by phone, have to bring your own sorce of music Not cool … No comp breakfast or easy close breakfast, or even cup of coffee, must walk off property 2 blocks to get breakfat and pay $25 per person to get coffee and small breakfast to have at room for a woman’s birthday to have her breakfast in bed … not cool Offered only a $40 per day refund Not cool at all !!

Its a bummer that the pool is not heated during the week, nor is the water slide open. That was a large part of our reason for picking this spot. Kids aren't allowed in the hot tub, so we had to settle for cold water or nothing. Also, the room felt surprisingly dated. I could see the extensive water damage on the back of the bathroom door and one painting frame had water damage, like water dripped from above. I could see the back of the door had years of fingerprints on it when the sun it right. It seems like they just paint over stuff instead of replacing things like baseboards. The corner of the carpet was pulling up. The rest of the hotel is nice and clean. The lobby and waiting areas are great, but the room itself was a letdown.

Pools were unusable. One of them is a volleyball court so you can’t enjoy it. The other is a 3ft deep kiddies pool with a slide, and the adult only pool was full to capacity with loud drunk people and a DJ playing super loud techno. I was looking forward to a relaxing time by the pool, but unfortunately decided to stay in the room instead.

It is a nice hotel and we enjoy spending time at the poolside with friends. The hotel has a beautiful sunset view from both room and poolside. Only one missing. The poolside bar was closed, so we had to walk into the restaurant in the hotel building to get drinks and food. Other than that, we had a good time and be back again.

Beautiful property and facilities, vast array of swimming pools, friendly and courteous staff. Big problem: we arrived day after Labor Day; services were curtailed and facilities were closed, but resort fee was still being charged. As this was only announced that day, new protocols and coverage were not smoothed out yet..... and seemed to be terribly inadequate. 2:40pm I am standing at an empty bar in a gorgeous restaurant dripping wet from the pool --- directed here by front desk since there were no pool area concessions nor any provision for wait staff serving the pool area. Uncomfortable. Visit before Labor Day.

We checked in and kids were so excited for pool and water slide. Pool is open late (9 or 10pm) but they close down the water slide at 6pm on weekends. Also they close the pool bar and restaurant at 6pm. We had planned to get drinks and dinner by the pool. We also were excited to do smores by the fire. You have to purchase the kits and they sold out so that was disappointing. There was no one to help get bags to room- you could use a cart to do everything yourself. Room was not clean and they put us in the middle of a wedding block. No sleep to be had after driving all day with 2 small children. I stayed here 6 years ago and was so excited to return. Unfortunately, the resort is not a “resort” at all. It’s gone very downhill and been neglected.

Staff were A+ all around. Adult pool was great- but many people left and their towels weren’t collected/returned so others had nowhere to sit due to “reserved” chairs. The room- BAD: lotion too empty to work, hair dryer auto’s between hot and cold, the carpets are COVERED in stains, I wore shoes the whole time but in bed, TV remote didn’t control the guide or work mostly, guests on bar balcony (one floor down below my window) allowed loud until at least 12:30

I love the location. Overlooking Lake Travis is absolutely beautiful. The beautiful adult pool with a swim up bar is a definite plus. There are 2 other family pools. The gym is so convenient with decent workout machines. The grounds are beautiful as well as the main lobby.

The views at Lakeway Resort and Spa are beautiful, and the location is definitely a highlight. However, the experience didn’t match expectations, especially for a place that presents itself as a luxury resort. The room had a strong smell of humidity, and basic cleanliness was lacking, there was hair in the sink and the tub, and our balcony was dirty. The pool area was disappointing, with chipped tiles, and even the pool floor looked neglected and in need of maintenance. While our stay happened to coincide with the July 4th flooding, which was out of their control, I felt the resort could have done more to make guests comfortable and supported during that disruption. This property has a lot of potential due to its setting, but it seriously needs better upkeep, cleanliness, and guest care. Not a terrible stay, but not worth the price in its current condition.

Such a beautiful location. My room is overlooking the lake and can be relaxing; however, cleanliness is poor. There were few long black hairs on the shower wall as if the cleaner just used the same mop to clean the floor and shower tiles. The sink was clogged and no one can fix it until the next day. Air filter for heater/ac kept banging all night that kept us awake which means the filter has not been changed. What a pity! This venue could be a beautiful place. It is pricey for poor management. Will not go back to this place nor recommend it either. Sorry!

This was a good stay for 2 nights. We found the area quiet and relaxing. Our girls enjoyed the pool for the most part. Most of the staff were friendly and willing to help. The lobby and everything felt very nice and clean, but our room didn’t. The carpet looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in months, the bathroom was dated and the tub held water. The kid zone was a major let down. It was filthy and most of the games didn’t work. Overall it was a nice stay, but it definitely could be updated.

Kim and Elvis were hands down two of the best staff. However, this place is old, smells, carpet stained and filthy, air condition not blowing cold. The pool was always filled and we could never find a place to just lay out and enjoy our getaway. Food was ok. Nothing to brag about. I was very disappointed at the amount of money we spent for this place. We planned last minute for a birthday getaway. This place needs a major upgrade.

Beautiful lake view! Older mediocre resort with nice adult only pools for lounging but nothing to do in the evening. The food in the restaurant was good and the same menu served in the lounge bar after 4pm. My first lake view balcony room had a strange odor and black mold in the bathroom. They kindly switched my room and there were no issues. There are all sorts of “incidental” charges to the room that are not explained in full upon arrival…$50 night plus taxes, $10 parking per night, all food and beverage, plus a daily “hold” even though I paid the room in advance in full. I would have been nice if there was a way to view daily charges on the in-room tv or hotel website with a “guest portal”! The in-room tv did not have any streaming movie channels and no guide to show you what is playing. There were 2 bottles of water in the room and an Expresso only machine. No plastic or glass cups. Overall, the $50 day pass or daily cabana is all you need to enjoy this resort & spa.

Prime location but very run down - the place need a good renovation in the rooms. Upon checkout there was a line of 20-30 people with only 2 people working. One was on the phone for a good 30 mins while we stood there. Manager came Saw and left despite another computer being free and 30 people waiting in the line.

Service workers were very pleasant. Enjoyed them quite a bit, wish there were more though. Quite shorthanded in the staff. Pool was great: three levels, adult only section, bar in the pool. Food/meals were to be desired, just ok. Room was nice, but tv was small and no streaming. Bathroom needed a fan. The fridge was small and loud. Wish there was a microwave. But overall, was a pleasant environment.

Hoodoy. Where to begin. First of all, the property is VERY expensive. We got a King Lakeview room with a balcony for our anniversary. So far so good. We arrived, and were excited at the decor and the "resort" look of the lobby and grounds. Checkin was seamless and painless. When we go to the room, which we paid over $320/night for, it was actually smaller than a Motel 6 room. The bathroom was tiny, with a very small shower/tub combo, as you would find in any extreme-lower-end exterior corridor motel. The TV didn't work and when we asked for someone to check it out, we showed them where the TV came on, but the channels only showed "lost signal," the non-English-speaking engineer simply left and never returned. We decided to go to the property "restaurant" an hour before closing to get something to eat, and thought it would be nice to sit on the patio overlooking the lake, where we could see other people dining. The hostess, said "all the tables are dirty," which was untrue... we could see them from where we were standing... and insisted that we sit inside, at a pub table on the far side of the bar, in the dark. I order the "Wagyu sliders," excited as I had never had Wagyu beef before and wondered what the fuss was about. They arrive after 20 minutes of waiting, 2 of them... cold, dry, and disgusting. And very expensive. The hotel, since it was our anniversary, had provided a very nice card and bottle of wine, which was a nice thought... except we don't drink.

Came here for the babymoon. The pool area is definitely the highlight, great view. The room.. I can only say it’s okay. we had a lakeview room with balcony, supposed to be good. But the furnitures/walls/cabinets look old, TV was very very small. Also didn’t realize the room was on the first floor and the view.. kind of not optimal. It feels caved in, and a bit “basement” feel. The Balcony by the cafe was pretty good though.

The pool was AWESOME! The property and building are nice. The food is not good, management, please look at the food going out the door! Not good. We started eating off-property. And please get people for the front desk that speak english. Only understood about 10% of what the person checking us in said. And then looked at us funny when we kept asking her to repeat. Fix the food and the check in.... then 4.5 stars

Worst experience I've ever had in a hotel. They double booked our room and then good night accommodate me to the same room that I paid for which is a balcony with Lakeview I ended up with a balcony room with parking lot and generator noise view my two friends best friends that flew to Houston and was supposed to make a 3-hour drive here decided to stay in Houston because of how bad the room was also because they're high end restaurant at this resort was closed that night and instead they were having a taco night. Check in was at 4: 00pm it took them 3 hours at least to try to figure that they double booked so I couldn't even use the pool which was overcrowded anyways with a group event this was supposed to be a wellness retreat from Mom's trip and ended up horrible. I walked around for about an hour went to the bar and grabbed whatever basic very overpriced food they have and went to bed at 9:30 because it was so loud in this room I couldn't even sit on the balcony because the generators were so toxic and smelly. Why my friends stayed in Houston.

Check in was bad — facilities, resort fee, etc. were not explained; just given the keys and wished a good stay. Had to go back and ask a bunch of questions of another staff member. Check out was also a hassle — we were not credited the allowed food and beverage included in the resort fee. Other than that, all other staff were very kind and accommodating. The food was good, the service was slow. The pools and view were great. Definitely recommend getting a cabana.

All in all, Lakeway Resort is a beautiful place, despite the low level of Lake Travis. The property is laid out well & it has a good resort feel: laid back, plush, & something I think of when I hear of “yacht rock.” The only reason I don’t give it 5 stars is, in all my attempts to call, in booking my stay, as well as questions while in our room, no one ever answered the phone. I called 3 times prior to booking to ask questions & no one answered. Staying at the resort, I called the property front desk / operator from our room twice to ask questions about amenities, & no one answered.

Lakeway Resort was a beautiful resort with extremely helpful and friendly staff. Shout out to Elvis and Brittany. Our room was spacious and the bed so comfortable and the view from our balcony was gorgeous. We thoroughly enjoyed the adult pool area and swim up bar. We will be back to enjoy this resort again.

First timer. A one day stay to celebrate my birthday, which fell on the day of check in. The drive to and finding the resort was fairly easy. My check in took longer than I would have liked. The clerk seemed to be having difficulty handling my card. It took roughly 10 minutes for the clerk to finally figure it out. We she completed the task of checking me in, I was handed my room keys and a map and dismissed lol. I told her at the start I was a first timer. I wasn’t given any helpful info, such as the location of the pool, spa or restaurant. I wasn’t told where the bar or outside patio were located. I wasn’t told of any activities around the facility that will be happening during my stay. I had to ask about how to get to my room lol. This place is pretty spread out. The clerk taking the time to push forward some info would have been appreciated….she didn’t even acknowledge that it was my birthday, even though she studied my identification lol. It’s the little things that can take a 3 or 4 rating to a 5. The room was fine. Bathroom was small. Bed comfy. And the view from the balcony was the main reason for reserving. Just do better is all I’m saying.

We loved our stay at Lakeway resort! We enjoyed watching the sunset from our balcony lake view room. The rooms were clean and beds were comfortable. The cucumber infused water and cookies in the lobby were an added treat. We also enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub with the view of the lake. It was our first time visiting and we would love to come back.

This hotel has good river/lake view. However, there is no trail/walkway for walking or parks nearby. Restaurants are far from the hotel (though there is one with the hotel, it was not open when we were there). It may not an ideal place for vacation.

Location is great, that's what you pay for here. Rooms are not good. They're supposed to have some type of air filtration, but our room smelled like mildew. Don’t eat at the restaurant, there are much better restaurants close by for the same price.

The resort only has one restaurant and one menu. No specials were offered. The food was excellent but staying there for several days, it became boring pretty quickly. Also, the pool bar wasn't open, even though the weather was wonderful. The staff was very nice and helpful. It's VERY VERY quiet there when I stayed (off season)

Perfect hotel and getaway for our anniversary! Very comfortable beds and views were amazing! Pool and hot tub area were very relaxing. Definitely will be back. Only downside would be food selection at restaurant. Very over priced and elegant. Wished they offered just a basic menu along with the regular menu.

The staff was great and the location was convenient, since we live in South Austin. They really need to focus on renovating the rooms. They are very 1995! The restaurant TR was a big disappointment. The service was bad and the food was horrible. We refused to eat our evtrees (Lobster and Shrimp Tacos and the TX Brisket Tacos). It’s hard to believe that the restaurant is affiliated with the hotel, as the level f quality doesn’t match up.

the resort is gorgeous. Room is fabulous. View is awesome! Staff is very friendly and helpful. Restaurant menu and portions need to be worked on. Disappointed by the taste of some dishes. We did breakfast, lunch and dinner here - and it is overpriced, taste isn't matching how good the place is. Restaurant will pull the rating down to 3.5 stars. We wanted to do late checkout since we had to drive to get some brunch and come back and resort said they have to charge us $50 for late checkout.

The staff were very friendly, our room was very nice and quiet. Having drinks at the pool was fun. Our only complaint was the food. The breakfast was okay, but for $25 each, it should've been fantastic. The lunch was better but the wait staff make your drinks and the one we had didn't know how to make a bloody Mary. They should have a dedicated bartender at all times, in my opinion.

I recently stayed at this hotel and, unfortunately, it did not live up to expectations—especially considering the price point. To start with the positives, the common areas were well-maintained. The pool was very nice, the view was beautiful, and the grounds overall gave a good first impression. However, that impression quickly faded once I got to the room. Overall, it wasn’t the worst experience I’ve had, but it certainly wasn’t worth the cost, I wouldnt rate more than 3 stars, I won’t be returning unless serious improvements are made.

We liked the view to the Lake. Very peaceful. The pool areas with bar. Service very excellent at restaurant.
