This is my second stay at this property and the first time I gave it five stars across the board, that was a year ago. I was told this time that the property was sold a couple of months ago so my hopes are that the new owners are planning to do something about the deterioration. The first night we were there we had to abruptly leave our room because the air conditioning started to rain in our room. I'm not talking a little drip, it was full out gushing from the ceiling. We called down and they told us to immediately leave the room and they gave us another room. I'm hoping for some sort of compensation for the inconvenience as we were already in bed and obviously unpacked. In both rooms the televisions were not smart TVs so there was no streaming nor any Prime channels. The guide did not work on the TV either so at any given time you had no idea what you were watching. I recognize we weren't there for TV but in the evenings it's nice. In the second room our coffee maker did not work. Most disappointing was the lounge chairs at the pool. More than half of them had such severe rips and tears they were completely unusable. Our floor and the floor above us which is the one that leads to the pool and the spa wreaked of marijuana for part of our stay. The best thing about this property both times has been the staff, they are exceptional! As I did last time we had dinner at the 63 restaurant and again the staff was great but this time the food was unseasoned and bland.

Items/Issues: No baggage help when arrived lol Tried several times to reach front desk and guest services, they never answer their phone! The menu online is out dated And items I tried to order are no longer available. No kids menu online either. There was no room service during our stay to clean room, make beds or deliver fresh towels. No one answers the phone! I had ants in my room, floor and bedding Service in 63, poor outside, for Breakfast, only fair inside for breakfast. Auto charge for service fees no matter how poor the service or not bringing out what we ordered. Pool service closes way too early (6:00pm) so no drinks or Food served at 6:00pm and water slide closed for kids at same time. No lifeguards present in the early evenings. Pool area in great need of maintenance. Most chairs have ripped material and had coverings out over some of the rips and large number of pool tiles were missing. Limited TV channels and no kid movies to order. It has been many years since I visited the Lakeway Resort and now I will not be returning. All these comments are true and not exaggerated…. Very disappointing, especially for the price! The view was nice though!

We booked this place solely based off the pools. We were let down on just how small the place really was. Probably wouldn’t go back due to price for what was actually offered. Customer service was fantastic though!

When we first arrived, the room had a stained carpet, dirty pillows, and stained towels; we were moved to another room, but that one had insects and a very noisy air conditioner, so we didn't sleep the first night. Despite that, the staff were understanding and looked for a way to help us—especially the manager.
