The shuttle bus was very punctual with the hotel only a kilometre away from Terminal 2. The room on the 7th floor was well appointed but there were signs of water damage on some of the plasters and cabinetry. The whole hotel is undergoing extensive renovation so the pool, gym and main restaurant are closed as well as most of the floors. We were still able to grab dinner, although options were limited. It was quite alright for one night though.

I recently stayed at this hotel and want to highlight the positives: the staff were genuinely friendly and helpful, and the location is extremely convenient. However, for an international hotel chain ; especially one located so close to an international airport ; the food options were disappointing. Room service offered only Chinese food, with no halal options whatsoever apart from two vegetarian dishes. There were also no Muslim-friendly touches such as qibla markers in the rooms, and room service overall was very poor by international standards. I hope management considers these points, as they would make a significant difference for international guests.

The hotel is undergoing renovations and some things will be unavailable in the coming months. I will say that the room I had was probably in need of an overhaul. The tv is too small and the bathroom didn’t have a normal shower… it had a bathtub with a handheld shower wand. Not ideal for showering purposes. I didn’t have time to checkout the breakfast buffet due to an early flight. The big plus, it’s at the airport metro rail stop.
