La Quinta by Wyndham Jamestown

Generally a good hotel. Very limited parking. U won’t find a parking spot after 8:30 and will have to park on the street. Brekkie was fine. Hot but low in quantity once items ran low. Rooms were nice. Beds were good. Quiet on the third floor

Clean, updated decor and amenities. Location was great. The parking was terrible. Small, only 1 entrance and exit, more rooms than spaces for guests, plan to park on the street

Fitness center needs a little help with updated treadmills. Also no towels or cleaning supplies. But rest was good. Parking could be tight if you have a bigger vehicle. Trailers wouldn’t be good.

Flr the most part, the place is just as I expected it to be. Then, we went to the pool. It was supposed to be heated, unfortunately it was ice cold.

There were no keys…. The front desk had to let you in every time you needed to get into your room…. Leaving the front desk unattended. The air conditioning was not working properly throughout the entire building. The room we are in apparently had the door jimmied at some point and it was not replaced…. It also smelled funny

Have stayed here before with little to no issue. This time however the hotel was undergoing some sort of technical update which required a person to open my room door every single time I needed to gain access (instead of handing me a room key). This was really inconvenient and I wish they would have called to tell me this was happening prior to my stay as it seemed like this was a multi-day project. I will be staying somewhere else next time that also offers a restaurant.

The huge problem was that none of the occupants could have a key for their rooms, as a computer glitch prevented coding the keys. It is not acceptable to not have a room key. The front desk person had to open my room every time, which limited the times I chose to leave the room. This had been already going on for 4 days when I checked in. This is a serious enough problem that I would like a partial refund. Otherwise, the staff was pleasant and cooperative and the room was well appointed, though it had an unpleasant smell. Location right downtown was excellent.

We ended up having to park in a lot up the street due to the parking lot being full upon arrival. Great stay overall with friendly staff and a clean room.

Zero parking availabl3 in hotel parking lot . Directed to park on the street at a meter and move my car in the am to prevent being towed. I requested my reservation be cancelled, which they agreed to do. I stayed 40 miles away at a Baymont Inn&Suites in Erie Pa.

Very pleasant. Very conveniently located. Very comfortable. We used the pool. The treadmills were out of order but there was other equipment. Staff were very friendly & accommodating. We would definitely stay there again. We have another trip planned in October & we are staying at another La Quinta.

Property was definitely subpar. This was a night stop on my way back from Boston to Michigan. I do not blame the staff as it seems like one guy running the front desk, laundry and cleaning duties. The third floor smelled liked a combination of weed, cigarettes, wet dog and dirty laundry. The room was equally as bad. The carpet was clearly not vacuumed, linens were questionable and the bathroom was absolutely disgusting. Dried blood on the back of the bathroom door was the cherry on top. We checked in late in the day and I was too exhausted to argue or care. We avoided the bathroom at all costs and managed to get a few hours of sleep and leave first thing in the morning. Not much to do in the town of Jamestown unless you’re into Lucille Ball. 0/5 stars if possible. Steer clear of this hotel.

Room was suppose to be smoke free but smelled of cigarettes. The bedskirt was stained with what I probably don’t want to know. The nightstands both had dried up liquid of some sort. The hallways smelled of mildew and they tried to cover it up with running dehumidifiers. But I guess you get what you pay for. In the future I will stay at the Chautauqua Harbor Hotel where I usually stay but didn’t this trip because I was trying to be a little closer to where I needed to go while in town.

There were mouse poop on the floor in the bathroom, ceiling was crumbling down, the carpet was damp and it smelled. I rented two rooms, but did not go into the other. Told and showed a picture to the desk person but I didn’t get any response.

Our room had used band aids on the floor, and I don’t think the sheets were changed because I found long black hairs on the pillows and sheets. I had to sleep on top of the covers. Garbage outside was overflowing, there was not enough parking available

Good location, good prices, pretty clean and the breakfasts aren’t bad. They’re very lax with making up the rooms, even when asked. We only got a half hearted “sorry” when questioned on that. Lobby areas would be much more appealing if they simply closed the doors to the kitchen and laundry. The area behind the front desk is cluttered with random stuff. A smoke detector was dangling from the 3rd floor ceiling. “Wet floor” signs are on display all the time, creating more eyesores. The tv is very tricky to use. Regular breakfast coffee was always running out. An additional vessel would really help. Really easy fixes that remain ignored.

Hostess was very polite and cheerful. Rooms have been updated. Place is very clean. Area is a little questionable

We received a connecting room and were unaware of this until we arrived. The room was clean but smelled strongly of bleach. The hallway was dirty and some of the downstairs lobby chairs need to be replaced.

It was clean and safe. The bed was comfortable. Breakfast was good. The staff was friendly.

Rooms smelled like mildew to the point of making us gag, mold near fridge, shower was dirty, hallways smelled like marijuana and mildew. Will not be returning

I was impressed how clean everything was in our room and bathroom.

Internet was spotty

Great locations to restaurants and local attractions. The bed is so comfortable and the room space is great.

No parking available for my car. Internet connection was mostly off for some reason the whole time. Management could not help. I never had connection problems in hotels before.

Worked for me. 201 could use a new lock, though.

Everything decent but the heat was not working properly in the rooms and they need 2 give a heads up and discount rate!!

Rooms are beginning to look a little worn, and our mattress made noise when we sat on the bed. Neither of these were detrimental to our stay, but may make us explore other options before booking here again.

If you are going to the Comedy Museum in Jamestown, NY, you won't find a more convenient hotel. It is a block away. I liked the room table lamps there as they had AC outlets. This was very convenient. I brought my laptop but the desk chair, even when jacked to its highest level, wasn’t adequate for use at the desk. I had to pile up pillows on the chair! (I am five ft 8 inches high.) The noise from the city traffic was a bother when sleeping but I compensated for that by running the AC fan. City hotels could provide white noise generators. Breakfast wasn't fancy but was adequate. Having coffee in several flavors available in the lobby from thermos dispensers, 24/7, was a nice touch. The TV was fine but someone forgot to leave a channel guide. Hotels always have dresser drawers but the typical short term guest most likely will not be unpacking his suitcase into a set of drawers. So a suitcase stand would be more useful. The small toiletries that hotels provide commonly have faint, fine print descriptions. Maybe that looks more elegant but having a large word like 'SHAMPOO' would be more practical. The AC / heat unit in my room was controlled by a wall mounted unit whose battery had expired. (The flashing battery symbol told me that.) The desk clerk was overwhelmed by other emergencies and unable to respond to my request for replacement batteries. She did make an attempt, though. Fortunately, I brought some batteries with me.

the shower was a walk in shower in an accessible room. The drain was clogged and water filled the bathroom. the shower curtain was moldy, and there was no water pressure. other than the bathroom the room was acceptable.

Overnight stay before heading home. Location was within walking distance of several venues. Hotel is a little outdated. Bathroom was small in standard room. Located on main street, so we could hear cars going by at all hours. Not a bad place for an overnight stay. Complimentary breakfast was a nice treat before hitting the road.

Good accessible room on the ground floor. Excellent breakfast selections in comfortable facility. No cleaning of our room provided for our 2 night stay.

Woman at check in was great - friendly, asked what floor we would like to be on. Put our traveling friends next door to us. French toast was very good. Only complaint I have is that a traveling sport team was at breakfast the next morning and it was chaotic . I was lucky to get a banana to eat. It appeared that the checkin lady was expected to take care of the food as well as man the main desk.

Everything was fine. The morning breakfast was good with a varietybof food.. Coffee available 24 hours. Staff friendly. You need to request cleaning service at the front desk if you need it. There seems to be some long term guests there also.

Expedia had issues for me and a few people before me with not having reservation ready upping check-in.. Big hassle but front desk was great to help and honor rate. Spent an hour at midnight with family waiting to get room as all of us who were waiting were trying to talk with Expedia and working with desk.

Staff was very friendly and asked if we needed anything. The room was great and clean.

There was no staff present at the desk when I went to check out so I was unable to get a paper receipt to use for my reimbursement claim!

The front desk area is full of clutter with files stacked up and other stuff sitting around, and it took 3 separate computers to complete our check in, even after I had checked us in in advance on line. And the washing machines/dryers utility room with door wide open opens directly onto the check-in area. The actual guest rooms are nice enough but the reception area is off putting.

Very roomy, comfortable and accessible room and bathroom. Lack of luggage trolleys was the main problem. Staff were very nice but seemed over stretched.

We walked around town. Perfect location.

Here for the Comedy Center just around the corner. Very clean and comfortable. Room very large, well designed. Big, soft towels! Great value and lots to walk to.

Friendly and courteous staff, breakfast included with scrambled eggs, Polish style kielbasas sausage, biscuits and gravy, cereal, fruit, yogurt, bagels, juice, coffee and milk! Clean and the location in down town Jamestown was perfect and working walking distance to the very 1st class National Comedy Center.

The hotel was clean, convenient location to food and entertainment. Price was reasonable.

Super convenient to Lucy Museum and National Comedy Museum. Downtown location is a little rough and cramped into a corner lot but was able to get parking. Lobby is hard-worn. Bathroom was clean and newly renovated. We arrived after check-in but guests did not have rooms to check in to.

Convenient location, good breakfast. If you get in late, you might have to park a block away.

Clean and close to Eveything we wanted to see. Breakfast was great and staff very helpful.

Was very convenient for our family dinner and also the closeness to the Lucy Desi museum.

It was convenient to a lot of things. Not the safest area but it was downtown.

The staff were nice. They were helpful in recommending a good place to eat dinner and where to find the laundromat. The place was a bit dated. The breakfast was fare. Our only complaint was the noise level, a lot of street noise. The parking was a tight.

The room was clean, the desk attendants were friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was more than adequate. Fresh fruit, hot items were hot, cold items were cold.

Not enough parking in the lot. Had to park on the street. Free breakfast was lacking food. Mentiined to the desk attendant that both the scrambled eggs and the waffle mix were empty. She said that she was very busy at the moment and would get to it soon. 25 minutes later she finally restocked the buffet. Unfortunately we did not have time to wait that long. She definitely needed some help as ahe was also checking out guests who were leaving. Not great customer service.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The hotel was clesan and quiet. Buffet breakfast was very good.
