DoubleTree by Hilton Jamestown

Property is newly renovated, upscale contemporary and clean. Staff is efficient and courteous. Restaurant in house is convenient and decent. Didnt use pool or fitness so I can't comment on that though we saw lots if people enjoying it. The little grab and go store had some good snacks but Coffee was yuck so plan to go out for that ! Immediate area is definitely struggling economically-a lot of spaces are empty and closed and there is a definite presence of people who may be homeless and are using drugs openly. My husband's bike was stolen off of our car in the hotel lot. (Cameras are not adequate for that area, there was 1 on the side of hotel pointing out over a 3 level lot) . The staff/manager was helpful in getting the police over for paperwork, but said viewing footage would take some time. Police said this as a pretty common occurrence, so just be diligent and maybe take bikes in building. We would go here again and just be more careful.

Property had everything you needed. Restaurant, pool, gym, and bar.

Given the available options and proximity to the ice arena this was a great fit for our group. Decent amenities (pool, workout area, lounge / restaurant etc.). Note you do need a room key to operate the elevators or to open doors from the stairwell. No hockey sticks allowed in the hotel either (as an FYI).

The location is perfect for walking distance to National Comedy Center and the Lucy Desi Museum. Some very good restaurants nearby. Plenty of free parking.

We liked pretty much everything in this hotel. Safety, size, comfort and location are the best.The carpet could be vacuumed a bid better but otherwise very nice stay.

This was a pretty good hotel overall. I was concerned because there was a lack of parking in the parking lot and no handicap parking whatsoever designated. This was a problem for me as we have access as a family to handicap parking. I did not feel safe in the neighborhood, traveling with my daughter, as there were some questionable activities happening on the corner of the hotel. The inside of the hotel was fine, the bathroom could have been cleaner, however, for the price and the quick overnight it was fine.

The hotel was in a nice location, convenient to many restaurants, and the hotel itself was spotless. The check in attendant was friendly and went above and beyond to be personable to us and answer our questions about the area (I wish I could remember her name!). And our room was great, clean and extremely comfortable bed. Highly recommend.

A friendly front desk person greeted us. The facility was generally quite clean but the toilet was insufficiently clean. Yuck.

I had 3 relatively minor issues with the room: 1) paint chipping off the ceiling in the bathroom; 2) toilet didn't work well- it kindof sprayed out when flushed. Weird. 3) shower drain was cloggy. Otherwise everything was solid, and I would say a pretty good value.

Our room was right next to the elevator which kept ringing the entire night when someone used it. The bedsheets had holes in them. Definitely not upto the expectations.

Great location in downtown Jamestown. Rooms are decent size, and provide most things you need. Could use a microwave.

Good stay comfortable beds but shower has low water pressure, paid wifi unless member

This is a nice place especially if you get a suite. The beds are not really that great because the mattresses have depressions on each side. Next time I will ask for the room with the best bed mattress because by night four we were hurting. The pillows are super awesome!!

The room fan was so incredibly loud that it kept me up most of the night. If it was turned off, it would get too hot in the room. We travelled mid May.

Loved the room, bed, bathroom, AC. Didn’t love the bright green lights in the ceiling alarm, which lit up the room at night; please switch to red. And thanks for the cookies! Welcome touch.

Clean, comfortable and roomy. Plenty of power sources for devices. Overhead bedside lighting that you can dim. Wonderful accommodations. Would stay again.

I have stayed here every summer for the past 5 years, and enjoyed each stay (with one exception, below). The staff is always very friendly and helpful, the rooms are spacious, clean, and comfortable. The hotel is located downtown, close to many attractions such as the National Comedy Center and the Lucille Ball museum, as well as numerous local restaurants. HOWEVER, as a working traveler I can no longer stay at this location due to the HORRIBLE Internet situation. Their "fast" Wi-Fi is a joke (which I've REPEATEDLY brought up to staff in the past, and they ALWAYS say that they've never heard this before, that they'll check into it), and simply isn't up to standards that modern travelers have come to expect. Put some Wi-Fi repeaters on each floor to enhance the signal, and get a faster service provider. Until that happens, I won't be staying here again.

Disappointed that they didn’t have enough staff on hand this weekend. The hotel was full of kid baseball players. And the breakfast buffet couldn’t keep up with the demand. None of the tables were cleaned. Not even coffee was available. What staff was there were completely overwhelmed. Plus elevator didn’t work and there was no signage to indicate malfunction. Will not go back.

I stayed in room 716 at the Doubletree Jamestown, checking in on the evening of 9/12 after traveling from Washington, DC. The check-in process went smoothly, and after dinner with my wife and 2-year-old at the adjacent restaurant, we returned just after midnight, eager to relax. However, we quickly discovered the shower drain wasn’t working properly—water wouldn’t drain, and the tub had visible residue from standing water. I contacted the front desk and spoke with Jasmine, the manager. She offered to switch rooms, but I explained that moving at that hour would be a significant inconvenience as our child was asleep. Jasmine suggested we switch rooms in the morning once our child was awake. I proposed that we use the shower in the new room and return the key the next day, but Jasmine refused, citing a policy against "occupying" two rooms. We were left with the choice to wake our child to move or wait for maintenance, leaving us without a shower. When my wife asked if we could pay for a second room, Jasmine threatened to cancel our reservation, accusing us of "double booking." It was unacceptable to be given a room without fully functioning amenities, and Jasmine's handling of the situation was unprofessional, especially given it was 12:30 AM. Despite my request, no one from management ever contacted me to resolve the issue.

Every thing great until I checked out, at 11AM. Front desk wasn't manned. I stood around for 5-10 minutes while staff located the missing manager.

We only stayed for one night after an exhausting day of travel. Check in was easy and the front desk clerk was amazing. The room was clean. My husband and I have CPAP machines, so we need outlets to power them at night. There were more than enough outlets in the room. We really loved our stay. If we swing through Jamestown again, we know where we are staying.

We had a problem with our reservation that was made through Hotel.com but Amber worked through it with patience and kindness.

Horrible. The worst experience from the front desk to the general manager. The lack of management is astounding. One person working on a Friday night and they could not handle it and that is no fault of their own. This place is completely understaffed. This hotel is not up to Hilton standards and if you are an honors member it is not even acknowledged.

Hotel is convenient to the two high-profile museums. Rooms were clean. Safety was excellent with digital keys to access elevator and doors to property. Staff was friendly and helpful. Dinner in Pub was veru good. Breakfast buffet was a little disappointing and waitress was socializing instead of picking up bill. Check in after adding an extra day was confused and key card was not activated correctly, requiring a long walk when we couldn't use 2nd floor entrance. Staff was always friendly, especially Amber at desk.

Use every year great hotel to stay a night for business but neighborhood is a little sketchy for a longer stay

We were in Jamestown to go to the Lucille Ball museum and National Comedy Center. The Doubletree is in walking distance to both and anything else we wanted to do. One local person told us to be cautious where we walked at night. We stayed on the main streets and I never saw anything that made me feel unsafe. There are some nice restaurants and bars downtown, including in the lobby of the Doubletree. The front desk clerk, Sarah, was very helpful when we checked in. She recommended places to go. The Doubletree was clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay there again

Located right in the heart of Jamestown, easy to get to, parking available and well marked. Everything was top notch, easy walk to explore downtown.Big comfy bed.

Overpriced and terrible food. The breakfast buffet did not have made to order omelets as promised. Worse then what you get at a Holiday or Days inn for free.

Motel itself was great. Sorry I can't say the same for the restaurant and bar. Took 20 minutes to get one mixed drink. To go order of food was brought on eat in plate, after taking 45 minutes to get food. But overall it's great place to stay just find somewhere else to eat.

The restaurant food was terrible as food was over cooked.Wait staff very slow

Staff is courteous, hotel is clean, room was clean, pool area was clean, everything worked as expected, restaurant is very nice with excellent food and excellent service. Highly recommend this hotel.

The location is great for this hotel and parking is convenient but everything else just isn't where you'd hope it would be for a Hilton brand hotel. I booked a king suite and upon arrival they said it wasn't in my reservation and that it was a Hotels.com issue. So they put us in a double queen room. With a 7 month old the room was right with his travel crib and then when he went to bed at 8pm we also had to go to bed. That's why we booked the suite to have an extra room attached. Then when we went for the breakfast buffet that you have to pay for we asked the waitress for a waffle and she asked if we really wanted it because she was the only one there. Not to mention the buffet was practically empty of everything. After 20+ minutes we finally got our waffle but I would have rather left and gone some where else for breakfast.

Easy check in. Pleasant staff. Nice clean room. Comfortable beds and pillows. A/c worked great. Restaurant for dinner and breakfast was very good. I thought breakfast was included but it was $30 for both of us at the buffet but it was awesome! 3 minute walk to Lucy museum.

The breakfast wasn’t the best honestly it’s made to order. Not the best experience with the “waitress” this past weekend.

While this location is clean and perfectly located with the museums and many restaurants and all the Lucy activities, the staff is not willing to help And the breakfast was $25.00 a person and half the hot plates had no food. Completely ridiculous when I had just left a hotel in Presque Isle, paid half the piece and got the exact same breakfast. FREE also the girl who checked us in told us that there would be a complimentary breakfast from 7-12 . Who would pay $15.0” for cereal? And $25.00 for eggs and pancakes , because it’s all that was available. I travel a lot and will NOT be back.

The entry way to the marking garage is kind of gross. The restaurant was disappointing. I thought it was a restaurant and you had to sit in the bar area. Our waitress took forever. I wanted a nice place to celebrate a birthday and this was not the place for that. The food itself was fine nothing great, nothing bad just not anything to rave about.
