Hampton Inn & Suites Jamestown

Indoor pool, free breakfast and fitness center are nice amenities, altho we didn\'t use them. Wifi was free, sufficient, reliable. Despite being completely booked with "eclipsers," parking wasn\'t an issue. Hot, fresh coffee and water (for tea) was served in the lobby 24/7. Staff was friendly, helpful, and very accommodating of our friend\'s dog (thanks guys!) The hotel is right off the thruway and at the edge of the neat little city of Jamestown. Nothing in Jamestown is more than a 5-min drive from the hotel. Those up for a hike could definitely walk it. For higher-end but not intimidating dining try Forte. For hearty, inexpensive Cracker Barrel-esque cooking, walk across the street to Bob Evans. The spacious, comfortable room incl. king bed, TV, desk/chair, couch, reading lamp, sofa table, footrest, mini fridge & microwave. The HUGE closet held our clothes, 2 suitcases, a large cooler bag, and the ironing board/iron and luggage rack included with the room (perfect for those too lazy to unpack - like me). The simple but effective duo of light-filtering/blackout shades were a welcome departure from the typical awkward and dated curtains. Bed pillows were "meh" but plentiful, so we doubled-up. I found the bed to be on the softer side but comfortable. The in-shower shampoo/conditioner/body wash smell lovely with no harsh chemicals, so save the space in your toiletries bag. Not sure when we\'ll get to N/W NY again, but when we do, we\'d definitely stay here again.

The dryer was broken, couldn't do laundry we were counting on.

Everything was good except white foam in the swimming pool and no elevators worked the second night. We were on the 3rd floor and I am not able to climb stairs up or down easily.

Room was comfortable but had elevator problems two days we were there. For several hours both elevators were down and walked three flights to get to our room. Breakfast was very good.

I liked that the facility was clean, ample parking and the breakfast area had plenty of seating.

Clean rooms and common areas. Friendly staff. Good breakfasts each morning. Only complaint was pool water was green in color, no odor of being chemically treated. This made us decide not to use the pool, which was a big turn off for my children.

We had three groups who had handicap placards. They needed to be near the entrance. All handicap spaces were blocked off with rope from at least 3 pm the day we checked in (per front desk clerk) to the time we left. This made it very difficult for our parties to enter the building. Had we known this, we would have been able to stay somewhere else. This was against ADA laws

Close to highway and professional polite staff. Facilities are nice.

Got a room above the pool that was closed and the view out the window was a wall. If the pool was open it would have Made the stay better

A/c vents dirty in both rooms we stayed in. Cleaned them myself. Told woman at front desk. Very receptive to info. Great stay otherwise! Would use again. Thank you

Room was basically OK. But, bathroom sink drain ran slow. Shower gel container had been broken off the shower wall. No couch in the room.

Good one night stay. Room was clean but not very quiet. Could hear neighbors tv and large opening at bottom of door let hallway noise into room. Doors didn't have soft closure so heard slamming doors from neighbors. Staff were friendly and breakfast was very good.

My wife and I spent one night at this Hampton Inn. The room with a king bed was very large by comparison to most other inns. Everything (clean, quiet, nice staff etc) was fine. Wouldn't hesitate to stay again.

The only problem with an otherwise very nice hotel room, was that there was only a translucent screen over the huge window, no curtains or shades available. The lights from the gas station next door shone in all night, as well as the people there could see right into our room when our lights were on. Not appropriate, disappointing considering how wonderful the bed, bathroom,etc were and especially the free breakfast were. Excellent turned into just a good.

David at the desk greeted us and cared for us like we where his parents. Unbelievable nice guy. He is a gem. Dont ever let him go. Apparently loves his job!

Very happy with the stay at the hotel. Our room was great. Very clean, smelled great and we liked the decor. Rachel at the front desk (when we checked in) was polite and very helpful. Kudos to her for her positive attitude.

Staff was excellent from checkin. They made me feel important recognizing I was a Hilton rewards member and very willing to provide hospitality in a big way!

The room was next to elevators and window did not have any view. TV channels were not functioning. I wanted to change the room but the manager on duty said we cannot change your room because you purchased it from Expedia. Hotel was empty and there were lots of rooms available. She was very rude and unfriendly. Overall bad experience.

The Hampton Inn was clean and reasonable. However, I heard loud voices at 6:45 am and kept me awake for over an hour. This would have been ignored by us, but our toilet overflowed at 4:30am. I called the front desk to tell convey the problem. I went downstairs twice ti find out what happened to our service. It was not addressed until a kind front desk person took it upon herself to fix it after 8:30am. I was offered 40 dollars discount off my bill.

Very happy with this hotel! The staff was professional and very friendly as soon as we walked in, check-in was easy, and our room was great! We will stay here again.

The room, beds, and building were clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good and well stocked. The staff were great, especially the night manager who was friendly even for my midnight check in!

Room was excellent and staff were super nice. 2 issues: 1- When we arrived at about 8 PM, there was nobody around to check us in. Only after over 5 mins, a desk person came to check us in. 2. There are signs all over the breakfast room about accommodating dietary needs, but there was nothing to eat for a lactose intolerant person.

Enjoyed our stay loved that it was located across from Lucille balls grave so if your a fan very convient.

Great Location

Hotel is conveniently located off 86 making it easy to get on the highway as well as into town. Location is quiet, staff were super friendly. Hotel was clean, room and bed were very comfortable. Water pressure and temperature in shower were fantastic. Breakfast in the morning had plenty of options and the dark roast coffee was great. We don’t visit Jamestown often, but we will definitely stay here again the next time we come back.

This hotel was in a nice country setting on the outskirts of the city. I would stay here again if in the area.Close to high.

Great location for work trip.

The staff was wonderful and responsive. Very efficient and helpful with my requests. Great location just outside of downtown, but only five minutes from everything. Nice hot breakfast and each morning different. Also liked the late checkout time (noon). Will be my go to place to stay.

The room was clean and comfortable. I slept well and had no problems with the room. The first morning, breakfast was wonderful, with fluffy scrambled eggs and ample choices. Day two, the egg and cheese omelette was just okay. The omelettes may have been from a box as they didn’t seem freshly made. Front desk staff were friendly and courteous. They were very helpful and check in was not stressful. Unfortunately, it started to snow, and the roads were not kept open. Getting my car out of the parking area when I left was a little difficult, but it was very early in the morning.

Came for the Lucy museaum..stayed here based on reviews, wasnt dissapointed. Saff was friendly. Breakfast consisted of good hot items. Pool was clean. Would stay here again.
