Owners were real nice. Rooms were very clean considering the age. Pool was nice, but had to net it ourselves with alot of big/little bugs taking their own swim. Bring your own pillows as the ones they use are couch pillows and small squares. (Didnt like that very much). Left real early so cannot comment on their breakfast.

The lamps with internal plugs for your computer, etc. are for the most part non-functional, but management said they are working on replacing them in every room. I can't travel light and am so happy I can park right at the door to my room. They serve free breakfast and have something for everyone. Both the owner and her manager are eager to please, and they are assets to the hotel industry. I'm staying with them again next month.

We were there for my middle monsters baseball tournament. It was my husband, myself and three boys. They had a great pool area, convenient ice machine, breakfast was great, the staff was AMAZING and the room was perfect for us for the night. We left out swim suits in the bathroom. I called and a staff member answered immediately and made sure to find our swim suits. When we came back to pick up our swim suits they quickly gathered them for us and they DRIED THEM!!! So amazing, as our swim suits were still wet from the night before. Will definitely stay here again if we have another tournament in Decatur!!!

Carpet was sticky, and the bottom of my feet were black from walking on it and found a roach in the middle of the floor Doors and windows kept zero noise out heard every car and truck continued to wake me up throughout the night

Woke up covered in bites. It’s been almost a week and I have massive red welts all over me still. Other guests have reported finding bed bugs. Needless to say I sanitized everything before I took it into my house to wash in hot hot hot water. READ ALL OF THE GOOGLE REVIEWS THIS PLACE IS INFESTED. I’ve filed a complaint with best western and am calling the state to investigate as well.

Access on and off 287 can be treacherous. One way I and out. Room was clean. No couch or chair other than the desk chair, room for it just not there. Shower was nice and hot. Exterior door had weather stripping missing and light shown thru. Walls seemed thin and heard the other two rooms all night.

The property location was very convenient in regards to my overall stay and the owner and her husband were very welcoming and polite upon check in. The only things I really had an issue with was that the entrance door leading into the room I was in didn’t have enough weatherstripping to keep any extra noise from the highway out, neither of the extra outlets on the lamps were so loose that they wouldn’t hold my phone charger block, and either the water pressure or the shower head itself in the shower needs fixing/replaced.

When checking in and again when checking out, we had to call for the office staff to come to the office. We stood around for several minutes waiting for someone, anyone, who worked there to show up. After which, we had to call the office number just to get someone to help us. This was right at the posted check-out time. A time when you would normally expect the office staff to be present to accommodate required checkouts. The property showed it's age and dripping faucets. This was a few ticks below what was expected from the Best Western name.

They had a great pool area, convenient ice machine, breakfast was great, the staff was AMAZING and the room was perfect for us for the night. We left out swim suits in the bathroom. I called and a staff member answered immediately and made sure to find our swim suits. When we came back to pick up our swim suits they quickly gathered them for us and they DRIED THEM!!! So amazing, as our swim suits were still wet from the night before. Will definitely stay here again if we have another tournament in Decatur!!!

Conveniently located off the freeway, however it's a bit confusing to get to the Inn. Besides, it was very neat and clean. Breakfast area is nice and clean, however, poor selection, there was cereal, the waffle maker didn't function right, orange juice was watered down. Otherwise not bad

Decent price. Small location. Definitely can tell this is an older motel. Cracks, chips in tub, paint missing, poorly done. Beds were nice and clean though. Had a cricket in bathroom. Breakfast is minimal. Not sure how long the cereal had been there. Fruit was good. We chose to go to a local restaurant one day and the Quick Trip another. Better quality and options at both.

If you like friendly assistance and quiet peacefulness without all the extra fees and attitudes, this is definitely the place to sleep and enjoy the nice breakfast with Texas sized and shaped enormous delicious waffles and fresh coffee after your good night's rest. The beds are comfy and they have nice flat screen TV's with great channel options always a good movie to watch and the walls aren't paper thin so it's great privacy:) as well as the bathtub is wonderful and always these rooms are clean and well kept. There's a desk and lounge chair in the double bed rooms and microwave fridge and coffee maker:) well stocked and Melissa is just the best at accommodating our needs every time we stay. Best Western should be jealous:) Scottish Inn Decatur TX is the best home away from home and Decatur had pretty much anything one could need and a lot of stuff you don't but like anyways. :) Jesus loves everyone, remember this as you continue your traveling journey and I pray you all stay joyful and safe and no road rage!!!
