There are a lot of budget-friendly hotels in Cave City. This one is well-managed, and seems to be family-run. Rooms have had recent updates to bathroom and flooring. We stayed on the ground floor at the back of the hotel. The area that used to have a pool is a nice big grass lawn, perfect for kiddos to run around after a long road trip, or for dogs to chase after balls or frisbees. Unusual, and a nice amenity. We travel often and I am usually disappointed with the hotel coffee, too strong/bitter. Not at this Red Roof Inn! There is lots of delicious coffee available, and a separate area to drink it and whatever you brought/bought for breakfast, if you don't want to eat in your room.

So happy we picked Red Roof based on reviews. Reasonable price and easy location for short family visit to Mammoth Cave National Park. Room was clean with several dining options walking distance and easy parking. Quiet location but close to highway and complimentary coffee provided in lobby. Room had mini fridge and ice available.

This hotel is in a great location and we were able to park right out our front door. Rooms were clean. Check in was easy and the front desk clerk was friendly and polite. It's close to mammoth cave, and a short cruise to local attractions. This is a no frills hotel, but if you just need rest, it's definitely worth the value. Only complaint is the beds were a little stiff.

Stopped here for a quick rest and it was perfect. Room was very clean and updated. Laminate floors and flat screen tv. Linens white and very clean. Lots of plugs and ports by both bedsides. Good choice of pillows. Amazing price!!!

Staff was friendly, Everything was clean. However, the room would have benefited from a good coat of paint. There were scratches in the paint on the walls and the door. A little fresh paint would have made the room much more appealing.

We needed a quick place to crash for the night and this was perfect. It was simple and clean. Although some fixtures were somewhat outdated, this met all of our expectations for a quick stop on a roadtrip. Checkin was fast and convenient.

This hotel is an older property. That being said, it is well maintained, clean as a whistle, quiet, and adjacent to food within walking distance. Laminate floors in the rooms,(I don’t trust the cleanliness of hotel carpet over a week old) along with recently updated furniture. Apparently the owners, or franchisees, take pride in their place.

Hotel is nice, clean and staff friendly. Rating would be higher except there was a lot of noise, from the A/C and also something from within the building that exhibited a constant droning sound the entire night. Sleeping was almost impossible.

Sam at the front desk was amazing! He had us checked in right away and was very helpful. Absolutely loved that he called after a few minutes to our room to make sure everything was good and we didn't need anything. Would stay here again in a heartbeat! The rooms were very clean and super updated in design. Highly recommend staying here if ever in the area!!!!

Great service. Friendly staff. (Thanks, Sam.) Recently renovated, clean rooms. New fridge and microwave in the room. (I didn't see these advertised in the listing and was pleasantly surprised to find them in the room.) No breakfast but plenty of restaurants close by. I don't usually eat the sugar bread breakfasts most hotels offer anyway. Better than expected for the great price.

If you like dirty rooms and rude front desk people, this is the place for you! Immediately upon entering the lobby, we noticed a foul smell. Once checked in and saw our room, we checked the bed and noticed a significant amount of dead bugs/flies on both beds covering the pillows and sheets. We got out of the room as fast as we could and went back to the front desk. After telling the front desk person what we witnessed, we could instantly tell that we were NOT the first people who had this problem. The worker got defensive very quickly, and tried to claim that this was normal for the area, even going as far as claiming that local hospitals have the same bug problem. The worker offered to change rooms, but after reading other recent reviews and based on our experience with the hotel thus far we had no confidence that the second room would be any better. After being denied a refund, we booked a hotel right across the street that miraculously did not have the bug problem that is apparently so common here.

Great place to stay. Staff is super nice & rooms are always clean with a very comfortable king size bed. New flooring & freshly painted. This is my favorite place to stay in Cave City & I have tried several of them. Thanks for being my home away from home. Happy Holidays see you next year!

Upon check in the staff was very friendly! Our room was on the ground level! It was 96 degrees outside and our room was a cool 70! Room was very clean, bathroom was cleaner than some 5 star hotels! I was a little worried as all of the rooms are outside entrance but no problems whatsoever!! We would definitely stay there again!! Great price for a nice room!

I stay at this hotel whenever I drive from Atlanta to Chicago to visit family. Sam and Jay are the two persons I deal with and they are wonderful! The room is very nice, comfortable, clean with an updated sophisticated vibe. The outside looks a bit run down but the rooms are great! I’m a single female and feel very safe. Last time I stayed Jay helped me take my luggage in! I thoroughly enjoy my short stays and the wonderful hospitality of Sam and Jay.

No issues with this property. If you’re looking for a 5-star stay, this is not your place. But if you need somewhere clean to stay for the night this is fine. Tea and coffee are available in the morning at the front desk, the staff is helpful when asking for advice on things to do.

It's close to Mammoth Caves and an easy drive of about 15 minutes. McDonald's around the corner for morning coffee. Cracker barrel next door. Good place for a night or two. No frills.

Overall the stay was great. We stayed a night to rest after a long drive. Room is clean,it has a microwave,fridge and coffee maker. Breakfast was not offered but coffee and tea. Close to 65 N and few fast food across the street. It was a good value for the money. I would say hope they clean the glass windows once in a while. It is just nice to look outside when its clean.

Clean and fairly quiet for being by the interstate. Friendly staff and newer appliances in the room. I think their lobby area could offer a light breakfast option and stronger coffee. Would stay here again and recommend it it to others.

We had a great experience here. It's basic, but very clean. We felt safe and had what we needed for overnight. It's a bit of a bummer that there's no breakfast, but the price is low enough that you can go to the nearby Cracker Barrel!
