OYO Hotel Cave City KY

Employees were very nice and helpful but the room itself was shockingly unclean. Black mold in the bathroom, stains on the sheets, and all kinds of stuff on the ground including dog food, loose pills, and plastic waste. But ultimately the price was so good I wasn't even too bothered; this is a great deal if you're planning to spend most of your time at the national park anyway and just use the room to sleep. Free parking and no bugs! That's all you really need in this life

I cannot say how terrible the stay was here. It looked NOTHING and I mean NOTHING like the pictures posted. They wanted a security deposit, fine, but then could only take cash, which is weird. There is no breakfast and no ice machine, both were advertised for this stay. Its also behind a funeral home, which was super weird. There were HUGE gaps in the door frame, and I felt so unsafe that I had to take a chair and prop it under the door. They didn't clean the fridge out from previous tenants either. I found cream cheese in it. This a hotel, that offers weekly stays too, so someone was living there. Its just again NOT as advertised and I have no idea how it received the previous reviews.

The staff was friendly and helpful. It’s just an older place so can’t expect something super nice. The room wasn’t bad. Served its purpose. Unfortunately I did see a roach upon arrival in my room.

It was filthy, bed was very uncomfortable and noisy. Was afraid to take my shoes off. Said complementary breakfast, there was no breakfast. By far the worst hotel roo. Ive ever seen. I travel a lot, and stay in many hotels. The best thing that could happen to this place is a lit match finds it and a complete revuild happens.

We stayed here mid July 2022. The carpet was very dirty and torn. The headboard on my bed was broken apart and pieces of it sitting beside the bed. The sheets were dirty. There was a microwave, but The fridge was missing. The walls were dirty and gouged. One hole in the wall about the size of two tennis balls add tape over it. I’m sorry to say we had nowhere else to go!

The property was clean, the air conditioner was great, and a hot shower after getting caught in a storm was perfect. The check in and out process needs some attention but the lady was friendly and knowledgeable.

I liked that they staff was very friendly and sociable, very accommodating, The room was clean and tidy and smelled fresh. The only thing that I wished that there was a refrigerator. I would definitely stay again at this motel.

The most dirty and scary place I have ever stayed. It’s super scary and creepy. Dirty all over nothing works even shower, bed, refrigerator, tables, floors are super nasty wow.

The room smelled like mold. I had a hard time falling asleep due to noise from others in this motel. It does not have a refrigerator. The bed was springy. The TV remote didn't work. The only thing that was good was hot shower but whrn I got out there were no towels. This was about the worse place I have ever stayed.

This property is old, and is in need of repair and rehab. The pictures also don’t depict what it really looks like. It also said it had breakfast, but there was no breakfast. I probably won’t stay there again.

This stay was the worst ive ever had at a motel and we go once axmonth for the past 7 years. There was no wifi in the rooms. The rooms looked nothing like the pictures. I checked out the same night i checked in. I tried to tell the management the problems and i was basically told they didnt want to hear my problems.

Room is okay for the price. Could use some maintenance. Staff is friendly. Booked as OYO, but sign says Countryside. GPS doesn't take you to the correct location.

Pros: The photos were accurate the room looked just like the pictures. The cost of the room was affordable. Cons: On Expedia it said the cost for a pet was $30, but when I checked in I was told that was wrong and it was $50. I think they should have honored the $30. They said that they were trying to get that straighten out. The room didn't have any hot water. We thought they may have been switched, but no. I told them when I checked us out that and was told something about changing water heaters and location of room. I was told that I needed to leave water running for 20-30 minutes. Only one large towel to use between us, but since no hot water we didn't need it. No breakfast, but on Expedia it said there was one. We ate at a place in Munfordville called Murray's Restaurant and I would highly recommend it. Very Good! The AC/Heater was very loud when it came on during the night. Even noise cancelling head phones didn't work. No WIFI in the room. Had to go to lobby to use it, but who wants to do that? If you are looking for a bed to sleep in that is close to the attractions and is inexpensive then this is the place.

Room was not ready at check-in time of 3pm. Was asked to come back in an hour or two. Upon entering the room was very disappointed as our room was nothing like advertised. Mattress on a platform, barely a foot from the ground. Wifi did not work in the room only in front of the entrance or inside.No mini fridge or coffee pot in the room. Tried to shower around 7pm and the water would not heat up, asked about the issue and again was told to wait a couple hours because the hotel's permanent tenants were all getting home from work and showering and there was only a 50 gallon water heater for the entire hotel. At 7 AM we went to the lobby for the free breakfast however the lights were off inside and the door was locked. Again at 9AM when we were ready to leave the lobby was empty and the door locked. Called the after hours number posted on the door multiple times with no answer. Had to return at 11AM to return the room key. The only plus to staying here was that the security deposit of $100 was refunded 48 hours after check out

First of all, if you're looking in this price range, you know what you're looking for. My 4 and 5 ratings are based on said price range--this is a place to sleep and not more. Given that, the bed was comfortable, the Internet worked, and the water was warm and at high pressure. There was some confusion at check in because I'd booked two rooms through Expedia and they assumed it was a duplicate, but we worked that out in the moment. There also was not a mini-fridge in the room the first night, but when we returned from being out all day, they'd put one in there without me having to ask. The staff were friendly and didn't mind my kids and I playing soccer and throwing tennis balls in the parking lot. We were here for a day at Mammoth Cave, and if you just need a place to sleep between doing other things, I recommend this place.

I didnt stay and they refused to refund. The manager called Immediately after I booked demanding an incidental and a pet fee within 5 minutes of booking online. He also wanted to know my exact arrival time. He was rude and I asked for a refund and he refused. I drove to the property only 5 miles away. It was filthy and I rented a different hotel. Its a shame I cant get my money back.

After having reserved this location 10 days in advance, OYO cancelled my reservation without any notice other than an email they sent 2 hours before check in, (of course I don't see it as I am driving there!). When I got there and found I had no room they offered no help. Just for curiosity I asked whether they had a continental breakfast or fridge/microwave in the rooms as advertised. They said no. Good thing Travelocity was able to help... their rep rebooked me a much better hotel for the same price nearby. I am actually very glad I did not have to stay here.

Arrived to find hotel closed up. Called oyo to find out what was going on. Had to work with hotels.com to try to resolve. Two hours later I was able to get full refund. Had to scramble to find another hotel

I really liked how friendly the staff was!! My 3 children and I stayed for 2 weeks and they actually had conversations with us. They let us know that if we needed anything to not hesitate. It felt like they actually meant it, some places you can just feel the attitude of not actually caring for the guests. NOT HERE, It was an awesome stay we enjoyed ourselves, and had good conversations!! My kid's and I will definitely be going back for another stay 😊😁

The desk manager wasn't there ... no one answered the office phone. Waited over 30 minutes for someone to show up. Didn't get the room we reserved. The room had only one light in it. No lamps. Had to ask for clean towels after the second day. No one cleaned the room while we were there.

Was told by receptionist (that reeked strongly of smoke and pot) hey canceled my room (did not get any confirmation email or text). Tried 7 nearby hotels and all booked so got one 30 min away. No refund was given. Ended up that they did not cancel my booking. Worst experience ever!

I am beyond disappointed. I never stayed in this room. I traveled 13+ hours from Houston, TX with an expectation to be able to arrive, check in and go to sleep, resting after a day on the road. Instead I found a structure that was presenting itself as a small independent motel at the address where I had booked. There was a lobby which was closed with not lights or signs of life. Frustrated I tried to contact the property through the number provided in my reservation, and as expected no one answered. So, the call when to corporate where they also tried, no luck clearly. And then asked me to try to check in. I had to explain a few times that that was a task I could not complete since no one was there and it was locked and shutdown. So, I told them as I am writing to you, that I expect a full refund and I expect to be compensated for the cost of the room I secured a few miles down the road at a holiday inn express (~$153). I look forward to hearing from you.

Thisnis under a different name, onlyba peice of paper on the door says oyo. Said they didnt have 2 beds like i prepaid for, told me to come back and they would tidy up a room for us. Came back to a sketchy room. One bed, and a futon. Futon was so thin you felt every board, no bedding for futon. Towels were so dirty after 5 mins in the room and the meth head vine of the property we packed up and went to another hotel. Cut into our trip money but better safe than sorry

This hotel is closed for rennovation. The owner loudly told me he has told you he is closed yet you still allow people to book rooms. I see my money is non refundable and Hotes.com confirmed the reservation. This situation has taught me to never book a room ahead since next I went to Econolodge here un Cave City, KY and they refused to honor the stated price as well. My back is broken in 2 places and I truly need to lay down. I couldn't take meds because I had to drive around more looking for a room. I'd like my money back, please. I am on a fixed income. Mr Rahman at OYO says he cannot refund it so you are my last recourse. Your decision will determine whether I ever use your sight again. Incidentally, the sign outside the hotel does not say OYO. Only if you read the letter on the door can you even contact this business, and then he shouts at the victim of fraud.

grade A for what most people would consider a Roach/Kat/Ice motel. there were no fights, and it was very peaceful. if you're rating them on cleanliness, you already know it's phenomenal: 1/3 of the people working there is top tier in cleanin', and he does a great job. there is no continental breakfast (they can't take it down), so don't take it out on them because you're cranky. just go get some coffee. It's good, tastes like mcdonalds black, and IYKYK, go get some creamer if from the casey's down the road.

Online boast of free breakfast is false. Coffee and fruit is unaccceptable. And a deposit of 100$ is not so good either.
