Love the room and the pool was awesome

Stayed at the DoubleTree in Jackson, and overall it was pretty meh for the price. Check-in was fine—they give you cookies (apparently their thing), and the front desk guy talked fast but was helpful enough. I booked this place mostly for the indoor/outdoor pool. I even called ahead to make sure it was open. We checked in late afternoon, and surprise—it was closed for “engineering.” I pushed back a little since that was the main reason I chose the place, and thankfully they reopened it. The pool was actually pretty nice once it was open, though the indoor side was colder than expected. The hotel itself is clean but dated. Our room was oddly shaped, hot and humid at first, and just kind of had that old-hotel feel. AC fixed the temp, and everything worked, but the layout was weird. Bathroom was spotless, though—props for cleanliness. The attached restaurant was underwhelming. Cocktails were disappointing, and the food was just okay (mine was super salty). My water tasted soapy, but Leticia, our server, noticed and immediately brought me a fresh glass of bottled water without any fuss. She was incredibly attentive, kind, and checked in on every table with genuine care. Her service really elevated the meal. Honestly, she’s the kind of person who brings real value to any team—any place would be lucky to have someone like her. If you’re in Jackson on business, it’s passable. It beats a motel, but don’t expect anything special.

I didn’t like the renovations going on. The noise made it impossible to sleep. Once they finish that it’ll be worth staying.

Service staff were very friendly, but a couple needed more computer training. The main issue was the ongoing construction. VERY noisy at times during the day (a hammer drill being used on the concrete of the room above mine. Far too noisy to talk on the phone. No business center or conference room available for phone usage. Christmas music too loud for phone calls in the lobby. May try staying here again after the construction has been completed. The first room I was assigned had a clogged shower drain. I was told the room had been flagged as out of service, but it still assigned to me. After changing to a different room, I noticed the door would not close completely due to a faulty door sweep at the bottom. That was fixed quickly, but in order to engage the door’s deadbolt, I had to forceful push the door shut with my shoulder while engaging the deadbolt. I would not want my wife to stay in a room with so many problems securing the door. On the subject of doors, one of the two heavy glass sliding shower doors had no plastic edge guards so even gently sliding it would make a loud bang that I am sure my neighbors did not appreciate. The other door had plastic edge guards on both edges and was fine. Overall, the hotel is fine, but better QA inspections need to be conducted on the refurbished rooms before making them available to guests. I suggest a very thorough checklist requiring the inspector to initial each item inspected and having the manager sign off the list

The renovations were a bit inconvenient/loud at times. Everything else (except the leaking roof in the lobby when it rained) was excellent.

The Doubletree was very nice, clean and all the staff were very sweet. Will stay again. the pool was beautiful!

Had to ask for towels and clean my room

Our room was humid. I wore my socks from the bathroom (where you could see a bunch of footprints on the tile) to the bed and when I took my white socks off in bed, they were black in the bottom from dirt. Might be time to clean some carpets! The staff was nice, the sheets appeared clean, and the warm cookie was lovely.

This hotel charged both my debit and credit card a liability hold fee and double charged for breakfast. Upon check out, the receptionist failed to remember to apply my credit/discount for the breakfast. Also, upon check-in I found a disgusting long piece of hair in the shower.

We stayed at this hotel for 4 days and we did not get any housekeeping the whole time. I even asked for my sheets to be changed and it ever happened. I had to request for towels, wash clothes and hand towels. My used towels were never collected. We had a little towel snowman in the corner of our room. Plus, our trash was never collected either. Our nightly rate was $217 and this hotel was not worth it.

Not having stayed in a Hilton property recently (courtesy of Covid), I hadn’t heard about their room cleaning only by request policy. So we were disappointed to return to the room late in the afternoon to find it hadn’t been touched by the housekeeping staff. They were able to bring up some fresh towels quickly, once the reception desk had explained what the policy was. I understand there should be a form in the room for ordering supplies such as towels or coffee machine refills, though there wasn’t in our case. Although the cleaning policy has, I believe, been in place for around 18 months, it would still have been helpful if we had been told about it at check-in (when we would have been able to request a clean for the following day). Otherwise, the staff were friendly and (in the restaurant, especially) attentive. The room was warm and the beds delightfully comfortable.

Glad you asked, I want to formally express my disappointment with my recent stay at your hotel from April 24 to April 26, 2025. I occupied rooms 301 and 314, and unfortunately, my experience fell far below the standards I expect — especially given the cost of over $1,200 for both rooms combined. Several issues made my stay extremely unpleasant: • In room 301, the refrigerator did not work, causing my food to spoil. • In room 314, although I requested that housekeeping not enter, a maid entered without my permission, removed towels, and did not provide any cleaning service. • The hallways and stairwells were dirty, with food debris present throughout my stay. • There was a dead roach near the ice machine on the third floor, and the ice machine itself was not operational all day. I did bring these concerns to the attention of the front desk during my stay. However, I am following up now because I believe the severity of the situation deserves further attention. I also have photos and videos documenting these issues. Given the amount paid and the reputation of the DoubleTree brand, this experience was unacceptable. I am requesting a prompt response to discuss appropriate compensation and to understand how these matters will be addressed to ensure future guests do not have a similar experience. The lighting was out on first floor where room was and holes above doors. Also the room was not cleaned well in the shower with midew and mold and we had a slug climbing up the wall.

Staff was great. Very friendly. Hotel is old and dated. I found a big bug in our room. It was disgusting.

Hotel is in dire need of updating. Sticky floors…no deadbolt on room door…bathroom smelled like raggedy underwear. My husband took a five minute shower in 8 inches of clogged water. Hotel is gross. Reviews can’t be trusted.

Checkin was easy and without issue. The room was crabby and the wallpaper was peeling. The room was very tight with furnishings and the smallness of the room. Have stayed here several times over the past 3 years, but will not stay here again. This hotel needs help.

Furnishings outdated but room was clean. Love having coffee, microwave and frig in room. Bathroom was clean but floor was greasy feeling but all looked clean. Lobby was inviting. Staff friendly.

The hotel was very nice. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and very comfortable.

The air conditioning unit rattled and did not cool as well as it should have. It was difficult to sleep. Maintainance person came up when we complained and took out the filters and left us a fan. Helped some. We were told no other rooms available to move to by front desk.

This was the nicest room I’ve ever had concerning comfort and noise. I’m 57 years old, traveled all across the country and never had a room this nice. Clean and crisp … great water pressure, hot water resulting in relaxing shower. You are marked in my favorites for another stay.

Nice hotel to stay in. Beds and pillows are very comfortable! Near all the bars, restaurants and shopping. The TVs are very old low def tvs. However a nice place to stay. Safe place to stay. Parking lot is dark. The soap dispensers are a nice touch. Limited towels in bathroom. There is a bar, a restaurant and a pool.

The night staff when we checked in were amazing and customer service professionals. The day staff left a lot more to be desired. They shut the water off on Monday. The desk person the day before said it would only be an hour. Needless to say, we waited from 8-12pm when we were made to check out and had no water no showers etc. We had a great stay until then. Also the restaurant staff was eager to push us out at closing time. The food however was great bar food.

Front desk staff Alicia was so welcoming and kind. She was very helpful during check in and check out. Very comfortable room and stay!

Stay ok, I ve been billed by them as well as hotels.com and had to dispute their charge, it’s a headache I don’t need.

I booked it for my grandson’s wedding night and the staff went out of their way to make it special. The champagne and strawberries from the hotel was great. I would do it again.

The room was clean, spacious, and very comfortable. We enjoyed the indoor/outdoor pool and it was clean and the water was a comfortable temperature. We ate at the restaurant and the food we were served was very good and the drinks were very fresh tasting and flavorfull. The only issue was the restaurant was out of the shrimp for the dishes we ordered at the beginning

It was great. However I was supposed to get a King bed room bit i was given a double bed room instead. We had 2 tickeys for breakfast at the hotel restaurant but they weren't open. No breakfast. The tv is old and not up to date with modern technologies of everyday people.
