I just had my car detailed. The misters outside at the valet are on too high. When I got my car back it was covered with water spots from the misters. I had to have the car re-detailed the next day. My detailer pointed out one of my wheels was now scraped. It was not damaged when he detailed it the day I checked into valet. I called and spoke to the desk manager. She said she would call me back. It’s been 6 days and no follow through. I would recommend the hotel but I would park my own car.

We were excited to go and spend a little time at the pool before a concert. When we got to the pool, it was one of the worst pools I’ve ever seen! Small, dirty and crappy! I’ve see better pools at motels. The room was average

If you plan on sleeping past 3:45am don't stay here. Construction started before 4am every morning directly outside the window to the room. Impossible to sleep through. Staff should have disclosed this prior to booking. They also should have let you know the facilities(fitness room) was down. They said I could go to the Westin("sister") hotel and use there, however when I showed up the staff at the Westin appeared very turned off and had me "wait in the lobby until they could get someone to escort me". after 10 minutes it was apparent they would not, as I walked out the receptionist looked at me like good, leave. Major disappointment from a hotel that claims to be an elite in the area.

One elevator was out of service the entire weekend of the College National VB tournament. It really slowed down the movement up to our room and down.

There were consistent issues with the elevator during our whole stay where we had to resort to the stairs because it was over a 10 minute wait to get on the elevator from the 7th floor. In addition, our sheets and comforter both had stains and we had to request new blankets however those had hair imbedded in the fabric. The room was dusty so we did end up doing some cleaning of our own.

Room is nice and comfortable and it is a great location near the Financial Theater. It was nice to have a Starbucks in the lobby for morning coffee. The parking is pretty expensive and they tacked on a $25 destination fee when I checked out that I found out could have gone towards a credit at the restaurant or something else if I had known about it. Those types of hidden fees are always burden on customers who are already paying a premium for their room and parking. If you don’t mind those two things it is a very nice hotel with comfortable beds and is walking distance to good restaurants and music venues.

Our room was ready late and no accommodations were made for us other than pointing the way to the bar. The room was excellent with a nice view. The pool left a little bit to be desired as well as the area around ot. Parking was expensive but I guess that's the way it goes with these downtown hotels

Incredible staff! From the front desk arrival and departure to the amazing Navigator that told us about all the fun things to do and places to eat - can’t say enough about their hospitality. The rooms are small - they are in a partial renovation mostly for the bathrooms. Ask about room size especially if traveling with more than 2 people. Walking distance to the convention center. Get a rental car because even with Waymo and Light Rail having wheels to explore is easier. The people are amazing and so welcoming!

This hotel charges $15 to use wifi. Free if you are a Bonvoy Marriott member who booked direct. Well I am but since I booked thru Hotels.com, I can't use the wifi. A little thing but kind of ridiculous based on the amount we paid for the night. Other than that, the hotel was perfectly located for our needs (Footprint Center).

I was in Phoenix to attend events at the convention center and the location of the Renaissance was perfect. The staff was very friendly, the on site restaurant/bar and staff were great. There were a several convenient restaurants in the area as well. The accommodates were top notch. Rooms were large and there was a large closet in the bathroom area as well. Bathrooms were set up nicely with the shower and toilet in an area separate from the sinks which is alway nice when multiple people are trying to get ready. Beds were soooo comfortable! I will definitely stay here again.

I always stay here for the Phoenix comic-con and it's a great hotel, except the mattress was hard as a rock. Also they're doing construction next door so I was woken up by noises at 5 am, not happy about that but there's nothing they can do about that.

I stayed here for a business trip. The hotel was very clean and the staff is very nice. I died at the restaurant. The food was pretty good. My hotel room was nice spacious and comfortable. I did not have any issues with the property itself. there’s plenty of places to eat around it as well.

Checkin was terrible. Never notified me when my room was ready. On the 4th try they said it was ready an hour ago. Also understaffed in the midafternoon at the bar. The property is nicely maintained and has a spacious lobby.

I really enjoyed the property and all its amenities. I however did not have a pleasant greeting at the front desk when i arrived. Leif checked me in and the entire conversation while checking in was "can i get last name? can i get a form of ID? Okay i need a card on file. here's you room key, floor 19 have good day". I had to find out about amenities for myself and the areas surrounding. I would've appreciated at least a hello, have a nice stay.

My family and I checked in everything was great until we were getting ready to hop into bed, we noticed one of the beds didn't have a comforter. We called the front desk to ask for one we thought maybe they just forgot to put one on it was no biggie we called and the person who answered told us very rudely that they were out of comforters. That they didnt have enough comforters. We then asked for a blanket and again very rudely he said they were out too. We couldnt believe that the 4 star hotel didnt have enough comforters for all the rooms how could this happen. Staff sent 2 bed sheets because we asked for that they didnt even offer a solution to the problem but anyway that was not comforting at all. Night was cold, didnt have a good night sleep at all. And the way the front desk person let us know was absolutely rude. This should not be acceptable for a 4 star hotel. Didnt have a good experience I honestly wish I could have my money back.

The service was amazing. I accidentally had a duplicate booking from a third party vendor. The third party did not want to issue a refund, but the staff at the hotel was very helpful in securing me that refund. Also, I left my cell phone in a Waymo self driving car and the hotel staff tracked it down for me and got it back. This was after I had already checked out. If it wasn’t for their help, I would have had to return home without my phone.

Place was A+. Our Airbnb for our trip fell through because they double booked. Grateful for this renaissance hotel. Customer service was excellent. Ambience great. Will definitely be staying again.

The hotel itself was nice and great location. What i didn't like was that it took me an hour to check in. Check in time is at 4:00, i was there at 4:00. I waited an hour in line and when i finally got to the counter they told me my room was not ready and they would text me when it was ready or they can put me in a king bed. My reservation was for 2 queens, 4 people. I'm sorry but if check in is at 4:00 then all reservations should be ready. This was completely unacceptable. Thank god another gentlemen stepped in and found me a room. This hotel needs to plan better and have more staff at check in when they know there is a big event happening.

This was my second stay with this hotel and everything seemed to be going great, they put me in a room that had a door to another room and it was tiny. That was a little annoying because I was alone. I picked the extra $20 option to have free valet, wifi and a food credit. This was confirmed at check in and I just saw I was charged for valet. I tried to get a refund and they denied it, I tried calling to talk to someone and no one answered me from billing. I'll be disputing the charge because I have evidence and they wrongfully charged me for something they shouldn't have. I don't think I'll be staying here again. I was hoping to make this my go to when I stay in Phoenix but after this experience it is very unlikely.

The Renaissance Hotel is a couple of blocks to Footprint Center in Downtown Phoenix where we saw The Eagles perform. An easy walk. Several restaurants are also close by. Our room was clean and staff were super friendly and helpful. Only option is Valet Parking and staff made it easy to use our car 24/7. A Starbucks and cocktail lounge in the lobby. Highly recommend.

Great location, gorgeous upscale interior designs, good food, walking distance to the convention center, ball park and arena. Rooms are very nice and several times I’ve watched games in their bar even when I’m not staying at the hotel

Problem was room service was awful! They bring food in packages not on service tray or table it was like COVID all over again l won’t stay there next year! Also food choices very lacking! No fresh fruit or vegetables or beverages like ice tea!

The hotel was beautiful inside but….one restaurant was closed and the one that was opened was so busy that they couldn’t even take our food order. There was no room service available either because of that. Also they got very confused and they wanted to charge us for the internet and valet parking although we paid extra when we booked for those services. Overall not the best experience.

The Renaissance captures it all! The service was amazing - Rhonda at the Dustcutter for breakfast starts your day right! The decor is so interesting in the lobby and the furniture comfortable. The linens are superb and the overall experience was great!

This property has a Starbucks onsite, which was nice. It also has an onsite restaurant which had some pretty decent food. The buttermilk pie was ridiculously delectable, and the wings were good also. The decor was a mix of modern and what appeared to be dated within the hotel rooms. There was also an owl theme going on, and the public restroom off of the lobby had owl noises and visuals, which I actually found a little strange. The customer service was excellent, and I took advantage of the recommended restaurants on a pamphlet the Guest Services desk provided. It is walking distance to the convention center, restaurants, and train stops, so it is a fairly good location.

This place in Phoenix needs a new pastry chef. We had desserts a couple of times, and they were not good. If you put a pastry disk on top of a pudding, you should be able to put your fork through it. If you get a pastry disk with canned peaches on it, it should be fresh. Introduce better desserts with a new pastry chef.
