Shasta Inn

It was well run with a staff that you could tell enjoyed working together. There was no room service but there is an excellent fine dining bar and restaurant and there is a small discount for hotel guests. I checked in and immediately booked an extra day.

We appreciated the "Grab n Go" bags in the morning since the restaurant is only open in the evenings. The outside temperature was 104 when we arrived. The staff had the air conditioning in our room up and running so that the room was cool when we first walked in.

Pull up to front door of room for easy unloading/loading of car if on ground floor. Pleasant, efficient staff. Reasonable rates for the area. Room was small but tastefully decorated and thus felt cozy. Simple breakfast amenities which were nonetheless appreciated. In-house restaurant seemed nice but was not open during the several days of our stay. Various other restaurants and establishments within a short walk or short drive into downtown. Mt Shasta ski resort within a reasonable drive.

Only stayed as a stop along way. Very comfortable and clean. Loved the rustic decor. Easy parking. I would come back to this property again if I find myself in the area.

Staff were really nice. Nice, clean, large hotel room. To-go breakfast bag and Tesla chargers were such a huge bonus. Lots of dining within walking distance. Would stay here again.

We checked in on time and the room was nowhere what we saw in the picture. It was so dirty and old mold smell as soon as we entered. We booked a queen room and that had a sink in the bedroom!! Who brushed their teeth in freaking bedroom? When we asked that we needed a sink inside bathroom they mentioned that was only in king size bedrooms. How ridiculous??? And on top of that there was freaking bed bugs in the bedroom that bit us both! Such a disgusting place do not recommend at all! Simply an unpleasant experience

The bathroom was not clean. There were remnants from previous guests (some body hair) in the bathtub.

Cute place and super nice staff. The rooms are adorable and good price for such a wonderful location. We felt real safe and even slept with the windows open for cool fresh air. The one thing would be the cleaning staff should be more attentive and clean the Cobb webs and sweep the floors more thorough. We would most definitely stay here again. Great location to visit Mt Shasta, Mcloud falls, Burney falls and Siskityou lake. Loved hearing the train coming through town. We stayed late September …Just WATCH OUT for the acorns falling.

Liked the place. Alittle dated and the room needed to cleaned better. A few of the electricial sockets didn"t work. Staff was very plesant.n

I was highly disappointed with my stay here. The Wi-Fi didn’t connect. It said the router needed to be rebooted and the TV kept losing connection as well. The comforter and sheets had stains on them. The bed and pillows were very uncomfortable. I had dogs above me I could hear all hours. There was dirt and cobwebs everywhere. The only positive was the staff was very friendly and attentive.

This is an old building. It wasn’t clean enough and the bathroom sink wasn’t draining well!

The room was smaller than we expected. For the price we paid it was not worth it. The bathroom was dated and the faucet temperature was not easy to maintain a comfortable temperature. Some damage on the furniture (missing nobs and staining).

Charming, rustic (but very chic!). Lovely setting, quiet we will return!

Overall it was a really good stay - great location, clean, restaurant and bar on site , adequate parking. In future if I stay there again I'd request a room in the one story buildings, as we heard some noise from upstairs neighbors. Not bad, but not super sound proof. Otherwise, all good! Bed comfy, nice stay.

My room was a single queen and had enough space for my stuff and a road bike. The room was clean and didn’t have that “we’re covering up something” smell. The only downside was that there wasn’t anywhere to put toiletries. I figured it out so wasn’t an issue. Single queen rooms would not work for 2 people - perfect for one person. The restaurant was great. Great people and really good food.

Heater was noisy & the remote control for it was either mismatched or broken, since it didn’t operate the unit.

Room was a little small but nice

An attractive environment with a first-class attached restaurant. Excellent lighting at a sort of high desk/table with stools. Great for writing or having a snack but no comfortable chair anywhere for relaxing or reading--a strange oversight. I had to sit on the floor to put my boots on! Also no drawers for organizing clothes, which would have been helpful in a small room. However, cleanliness and condition were excellent. Lots of fresh air if you don't want fans or AC.

This motel is ok - the staff was friendly and the bed was firm but you could hear your neighbors next door so bring your sound machine. The room also had a very noisy Heater that was turning on and off constantly. Thrift shop furniture but it doesn’t really matter because you don’t go to Mt Shasta to sit in the room but an easy chair/reading lamp would have been nice. All the furniture was a bed and small table with hard back chairs and a night stands If watching TV you had to turn it up whenever the heater went on. I was on the ground floor and could also hear my upstairs neighbors when they moved around

clean rooms , great staff and always reliable- been going there for 4 years now and it never disappoints! i strongly recommend it

The managing staff was nice enough to leave me a message on how to get to the room if I am coming after 9 pm. So be aware that there might be no one on front desk after 9 pm

Front desk closes at 9. If you plant showing up later than that I would highly suggest calling them.

Friendly and welcoming staff. Called to get more towels and had the. Within 3 mins. The acorns dropping freaked out at first, lol. Very affordable and beautiful site.

Daughter and I needed a place to stay for the night half way through our drive home. Made reservations on hotels for Shasta Inn. Shortly after, Shawna called to get our ETA and advised that the office closed at 9 which was before our arrival. She gave me our check in instructions and once we arrived everything went smoothly. We loved the cute little room and the entire vibe and atmosphere of the Inn. Wish we were staying longer but will definitely be back to stay here again. Cutest little “ski” themed room.

It was great. We got a lot of help from the front desks. They were super friendly.

Wait almost 10 minutes at the front desk no one was there to check in.

The front desk employees are wonderful. After a long five hour drive we were allowed early check in to our room. Very thankful for that convenience. This the second stay at this property and won’t be our last.

My stay at the Shasta Inn was extremely comfortable. The staff was more than friendly and accommodating.

The owner was incredibly kind. The room was fresh. Overall we had a really good experience.

Very nice remodeled room with a comfortable bed. The location is great for accessing the Shasta-Trinity area. Only slight annoyance is that a tree was creaking in the wind as it rubbed against the roof edge on room 5.

When making a reservation, I checkout the location, the hotel itself as well as it's amenities. This hotel shows a restaurant/Bar. When we arrived at 8:30pm, the restaurant & bar were closed.

Our check in was easy, the staff friendly, and our room was comfortable. Best of all, we loved Harvest, the on-site restaurant. Our dinner was delicious and our server was friendly and efficient. Altogether, the Shasta Inn is a great place to stay!

Everyone was nice. BUT while getting a drink at the hotel bar we encountered the rudest bartender EVER! We asked for a Mai Tai drink and you would have thought we had asked him for his first child born! He said In a manner that was straight out of central casting for rude bartenders, “we don’t make Mai Tais! We are a small bar in a small town, no one in Mt Shasta makes them”. My wife and I only drink while vacationing. We are grandparents who babysit our grandchildren five days a week. This was our weekend to have a drink. So, we said fine, we will look elsewhere. He became Nathan Lane (A striking resemblance) sarcastic! He went into a rant about Mt Shasta being a small mountain town, and that no bar in town was stupid enough to keep all the ingredients for a Mai Tai drink around and let it rot, when only a few people order them. You can be rude to me, but don’t mess with my WIFE! I got mad and called him an assh_le! He went into damage control and bought our drinks. I will turn 70 this year and have been to many establishments in my time. But I have NEVER been waited on by such a blatantly rude person! The fact that management allows this type of behavior from their staff, is intolerable! We will NEVER go there again! Note to weary travelers who would like a GREAT drink, Mt. Shasta does have Mai Tais, just not at this establishment.

Check in was smooth. We really wanted to try the restaurant but it was closed.

Great motel, great beds. “Continental” breakfast came in a lunch bag. I would stay here in the future but would get breakfast somewhere else.
