Very convenient location when in transit. However, food service at the Irish pub attached atrociously slow. Pool was unusable.

Friendly and professional staff. Good breakfast. Enjoyed the pool and gym. Free shuttle was a real help.

Excellent price for the service offered and the proximity to the airport. Friendly staff, a clean pool, a great and varied breakfast buffet, clean rooms The corridors were being painted during my stay. Some rooms also. Very recommendable.

The room is old and in need of maintenance. The outdoor swimming pool had a lot of bugs in it. Also they were painting the hallway so my room got a very strong paint odor. Breakfast was great with many choices of selection. The free shuttle to the airport was also a plus.

Gorgeous hotel located conveniently close to the airport. Rooms are clean, bed was comfortable, staff is friendly. Breakfast buffet offered a range to choose from and was very good! Gardens with pool were beautiful and so relaxing!

I chose to stay in Garden Court because of its location near the airport. Checking in was smooth except having to pay a tax which I didn’t expect. I had booked a standard room. This 2nd floor room’s air conditioner did not cool at all. We complained, the serviceman came and noticed the problem and we were moved to a similar room on the 3rd floor. The hallway of 3rd floor reeked of cigarette smoke. Thankfully the room didn’t. However, the carpets in both rooms were disgustingly dirty. The drain in sink was clogged. The flush of toilet kept running. The bath towels were thin and tiny. I was extremely disappointed in the quality of the rooms. On the positive side, the breakfast buffet was good as was the free shuttle service to the airport. There was not much difference in price between this 3* hotel and nearby 4* ones. Will not be staying here again.

The prize was reasonable, the stuff was sweet and helpful, the pool was very clean. The hotel just needs to invest in replacing the carpets they look horrific.

It simply is a place to sleep and nothing more or less. There was a strange musty smell in the hallways and the building itself could use major upgrade. Buffet breakfast nice but other dining limited. Staff efficient but not particularly friendly.

The carpets are dirty the room is dark and dismal. The shower was blocked and in spite of reporting it was not sorted out. The room did not smell good at all. The reception and dining reception staff unfriendly.

Hotel is clean, beds are comfortable, breakfast is awesome with lots of options, and service was outstanding. They offer free shuttle to the airport every 15 min. Would stay here again.

Shuttle bus service was very good. Bath room was not very clean but room was quiet and comfortable. Breakfast was really good.

Optamos por este hotel porque chegamos de viagem terrestre e nosso voo era muito cedo no dia seguinte… apesar do valor ser baixo estranhei o fato de cobrarem taxa de turismo, estamos viajando a 20 dias pela África do Sul, inclusive nos hospedamos em outro hotel aqui perto do aeroporto e nenhum deles cobrou isto. O tamanho do quarto e do banheiro são bons, entretanto não tem frigobar e não oferecem garrafa de água como é praxe em todos hotéis da África do Sul em que nos hospedamos.. Carpete está precisando de ser limpo…

Rooms are tired yet spacious, clean and comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful, but evidently not enough of them. Breakfast was good but half the dining room was closed off so guests were crowded into an unnecessarily small area, staff?. Airport shuttle excellent - every 15 minutes! No room service despite there being a number for in-room dining, staff?. Reception takes far too long to answer the phone so once in the room “you’re on your own”, again perhaps indicative of undermanning. Although the premises is very clean and inviting, the area around the hotel is most definitely not. 300 metres from a Gautrain station but no way to walk there. The building speaks to an issue - in my opinion that has beset many of the “old” hotels around O.R Tambo, they are tired and very outdated. It’s a shame that for many people on their first trip to Africa - certainly South Africa, that this is the first African hospitality they are exposed to. Not the best impression!

Room needs updating . Net curtains were torn and bathroom a bit small . Not enough wall sockets

A little disappointing. The double bed was extremely uncomfortable. I would have appreciated water bottles in the room, just one each. It was clean, however the carpets looked dull.

This is a decent option near OR Tambo Airport. The rooms are a bit small and dated, and the WiFi was unreliable. There also isn’t much in the way of views from the rooms. But the staff is great, the breakfast is solid, and the airport shuttle is quick, free, and reliable.

This hotel is great for proximity to the airport. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The hotel decor/interior is starting to look a tad tired. The breakfast is great. The reason for the average rating is that the noise level overnight was so bad I had really lousy sleeps. The door slamming that takes place seemingly ALL night, the noise from the neighbouring room TV, plus conversation, plus the noise level that comes in from the corridor.

My room(236) was not up to standard. Not even a ceiling light. Just 2 lamps and bedside lamps. I expected much more for a premium room with a king sized bed. Furniture is old.

Good location near OR Tambo airport with free shuttle service. Room standard not good with noisy aircon and torn bed sheet. Also noisy guests around 1 am.

At least put charging USBs for phones because most international hotels have at least one or two charging ports on plugs with USB. Not many people nowadays who travel with traveling chargers . Even in Planes we have USB charging ports . Try to match your hotel to International standard.

Third time staying at Garden Court. They are very friendly and helpful. I will stay again.

We have stayed at the Garden Court before and the overall stay was the great. The breakfast is excellent. However, when we arrived at the hotel, they had no record of our booking. They eventually found it on Expedia.com and had to create a new booking for us. It took over an hour to get our accommodations sorted out.

The staff charged my account when they should not have. The staff did not credit my account when they should have. The staff is not happy when you point out mistakes to them and they do not offer to make up to the customer for their mistakes.

I booked the room from the 18th October because my flight arrived early morning of the 19th. When I arrived around 7:30 am on the 19th I was told there were no rooms available because my room was allocated to someone else and the hotel was up to capacity. I then had to wait for someone to check out and didn't get my room until 9:30 am. Tired, frustrated, and unbelievable they offered no apology but instead proceeded to charge me hotel tax which I refused to pay and after talking to the manager it was waived. If that wasnt enough tried to.pass the blame onto me by saying I should have notified them of my flight details as I was arriving the following day. The point is I booked the hotel for a period 18th to 21st October 23. Whatever time I arrive was irrelevant and my room should have been reserved and not given away to someone else. The hotel made money and I lost out because I could not go straight to my room. The customer is not made aware at the time of booking that the hotel has to be notified of flight arrival. Also when I got to the room there was no soap to wash hands or even a bottle of water. I have used this hotel before and that was my last time and what lets it down is the lack of professional staff. Most are not friendly and appear disgruntled and unhappy. They are the first point of contact at check-in and sadly let down the image of the hotel.

The female employees enjoy being ineffective, aloof and blatantly unhelpful. They are more concerned with their chips and phone than doing their job. My toilet ran for 72 hours straight.horrible sleep Weird smell

Good location for connecting flights

Great hotel with free shuttle to and from the airport. The buffet breakfast and dinner were great. Than being said it is not close to the city but you can easily get an Uber to and from the hotel. If you want to be near the airport this is a great choice.

Very convenient if you’re transiting overnight at OR Tambo Airport. Great staff and good breakfast but there’s nothing to see in a fairly rundown part of Joburg.

This hotel is ideal for a short stop over.. there is a free shuttle back and to the airport, just 7 mins. There is nothing to do or see at the hotel therefore we took the shuttle back to the airport and caught the Gautrain into Johannesburg ( the hotel will tell you not to do this as they want to sell you an expensive trip) the train is perfectly safe and amazingly clean. The breakfast in the hotel was very good and had a nice variety, however the evening dinner in the hotel pub bar was very poor, with long waiting times and very poor service.

Apart from great amenities, I enjoyed the ambience and reassuring proximity to the airport. I had an early departure and the dining facilities were closef. I was blown away by the thoughtfulness of the staff to have put together a take out breakfast bag in preparation.

The hotel staff were so friendly and efficient. The buffet breakfast was amazing value for money and the pool area and gardens are lovely. Free half hourly shuttle from the airport was very convenient and was safe and clean. This hotel is however let down by the Rosie O'Gradys pub on the premises, poor service, gave away our booked table. Food took over an hour to arrive and was cold.

My partner and I had a great stay. Clean rooms, helpful staff, good breakfast included and the pub had great food and drinks at night.

Its a good property. Good value for the money. Shuttle service from airport is excellent and very convenient. The rooms are decent (could use some upgrades - especially bathroom) and relatively decent size. Dining options on-site are not great but provide some convenience - especially at night. The breakfast buffet is quite good. Overall, its a good and convenient option for short term stays.

Great breakfast, airport shuttle, did the job. Property is nice enough but can use some love. Staff is excellent. Bar service is a bit slow and the draught beers seem under used.
