Real attention to design and detail. Our room had everything we needed including lovely hair and skin products. Helpful, friendly staff and a good location, close to transport links and everywhere we wanted to visit. We enjoyed the spa too especially in the morning when it was quieter.

Overall a hotel that focuses more on design and greenwashing than comfort. Weird bulbous floor lamps and bamboo decorations that take up half the floor space and make it difficult to walk around the room. Strange hours for the spa that supposedly make it more sustainable. It was a nice enough hotel for the price, but don't expect a lot. The first room they put us in was on the ground floor on an inside courtyard and the windows were screwed shut and the fan did not work. It was also next to some kind of ventilation system that made a really loud noise. There was a nice stand alone tub in this room. We complained about the noise and they moved us to a quiet room on the 3rd floor. This room was much smaller. We were disappointed that the limited hours for the spa (which they say are limited to reduce emissions?) are right in the middle of dinner time. They would be better off having a few hours in the morning when nothing else in the city is open.

En fantastisk perle, i charmerende omgivelser i centrum af København. Virkelig et dejligt kurbad i kælderen, som en ekstra forkælelse. Morgenmaden intet mindre end Sublimt. Så mange lækre specialiteter af gode råvarer.

This is a lovely hotel just steps from the Copenhagen train station. There are excellent bars and restaurants within g walking distance and it is easy to explore the city by bike or transit. The spa is worth the fee although the hours could be better. The breakfast is well priced and of excellent quality. The bar is a good spot to have a quick drink in between sightseeing.

Morgenmaden var god, men det var ikke lige så nemt at finde bordplads indenfor. Buffetområdet var trangt, så der var hurtigt overfyldt af mennesker, hvor man ofte gik i vejen for hinanden. Træningscenteret var virkelig flot og værelserne hyggelige!

I got to the hotel little more than two hours before and thought to come at the hotel and ask if there’s rooms ready before 3 which I knew was the official time. There wasn’t but I asked if someone could tell me when the room is ready so I can get in as I was very tired from the travelling. They couldn’t do that, but said that it is ready at three or I can ask again. So I was left waiting there and thinking when I should go and ask again or just leave it and come back at 3:00 again. For the whole time there was the same receptionist and only me waiting so it wasn’t too crowded. This is not a big deal, but it was the first thing I learned about Axel Guldsmeden. Room was ok, if something the door let’s all the sounds through, but the walls dont. The biggest upset with this price hotel was the bathroom. We took a bath and water got spilled out from the edges a bit and with that water there came so much dust, hair, dirt, old rose leaves etc. from beneath the bath and there wasn't anything to clean it with so we were left with all that dirt on the floor after the bath. I tried to clean it with the shower as much as I could, but it was impossible. It wasn’t the best experience, but ok.

We appreciated the great customer service – the staff were polite and helpful throughout our stay. However, there were a few things that made our experience less than ideal. We stayed for five days and only requested housekeeping once, but even then, our beds and towels were not changed. The room was only tidied, and the floors were not cleaned. There was also a significant amount of dust under the bed, which clearly hadn’t been cleaned in a while. One of the main reasons we booked this hotel was the spa, but we were disappointed to find out that it required an extra charge to use, especially considering the already high room rate. There was no happy hour offered, and while the food was tasty, we found it a bit overpriced. Our first night was especially frustrating. We arrived around midnight after a long day of travel, only to be woken up very early by loud machinery operating right outside our room. Thankfully, the staff were understanding and moved us to a quieter room. Lastly, the bathrooms were very small, and some were not suitable for older guests due to lack of accessibility. Good hotel with the best location. The breakfast was quite ok with what you wanted. Nice interior with details. The cleaning was good, however we found a condom packet in one of the drawers. Signs that the cleaning people does not go through the drawers when cleaning, which we recommend that they do. A lot of blood stains on the curtains, A hotel like that should maybe wash its curtains a little more often.

Helt ok, nära stationen, trevligt inredda rum. Lite synd att de inte hade fyllt på flaskorna i badrummet, ett skohorn hade varit bra samt en flasköppnare. Lite lyhört från de andra rummen. Skulle betala rummet då var det redan draget från kort. trodde man kunde betala kontant.

Super hyggelig atmosfære og høfligt personale. Ked af vi ikke skulle være der længere. Derfor nåede vi ikke at benytte os af spa og mad. Eneste minus er at man ikke kan tilkoble Chrome cast eller at der ikke er smart TV hvor man kan streame. Det er meget lydt, så man får Vesterbros lyde med.

Fick tyvärr rummet bredvid hissen så det var ljud hela natten både från gäster men också varje gång hissen åkte upp och ner. I övrigt var hotellet bra och trevligt.

Rummet var på bottenplan, gick inte att vädra så bra trots möjligheten att öppna fönster. Ligger vid en genomfartsled så mycket trafik, vilket gjorde det svårt att vädra rummet. This hotel has a cool vibe but unfortunately, we didn’t love it for two reasons. One: the bed felt like you were sleeping on a block of wood - it was too hard (and I prefer a firmer mattress). And two: the street noise is excessive. While this isn’t controlled by the hotel, there’s no A/C (like many European hotels) so windows open are necessary in the summer, and the yelling and sirens at all areas of the night were a turn off.

Alt på Guldsmeden er gennemført i cosy eksotisk stil. Vi nød virkelig opholdet. Man kender sit hotel på appelsinjuicen ved morgenbuffetten - og den er godkendt! Personalen hade ett mycket trevligt/välkomnande bemötande. Vi fick checka in flera timmar tidigare, vid ankomst. En i sällskapet fyllde år, blev gratulerad med välkomstdrink i baren. Rekommenderas!

Dejligt centralt hotel. Skøn morgenmad og deres superior Dobbelt værelser er dejlige og med lækre trægulve og balkon så man lige kan åbne ud til og der er god plads. Vær varsom med at lade bagage opbevare - det skulle være ok, med udlevering af bagagemærker og i et aflåst rum …….men vi fik alligevel stjålet en kuffert som politiet ved et rent tilfælde får fat i i lufthavnen. Vi hørte intet fra hotellet og de har fortsat ikke ladet høre fra sig ud over en bekræftelse af, at de har noteret tyveriet. Kun politiet var meget imødekommende. Det er nu over en uge siden, hvilket er meget skuffende og vi er meget uforstående over for denne manglende service. Det har været dyrt for os. Først og fremmest fik vi afbrudt vores middag i Nordsjælland og måtte tage en meget dyr taxi tilbage til København til politigaarden og fra politigården til hotellet for at hente resten af bagagen. Hotel was great! The decor was so unique and inviting. Restaurant was delicious and the staff was amazing. I had a very early flight and they arranged my transportation and callled me in my room just to be sure i was up. 5 stars!

We appreciated the great customer service – the staff were polite and helpful throughout our stay. However, there were a few things that made our experience less than ideal. We stayed for five days and only requested housekeeping once, but even then, our beds and towels were not changed. The room was only tidied, and the floors were not cleaned. There was also a significant amount of dust under the bed, which clearly hadn’t been cleaned in a while. One of the main reasons we booked this hotel was the spa, but we were disappointed to find out that it required an extra charge to use, especially considering the already high room rate. We arrived around midnight after a long day of travel, only to be woken up very early by loud machinery operating right outside our room. Really great quirk hotel, super Eco-wise. Great staff. Amazing location not too deep in the tourist stuff, but close enough.. but also really close to Vesterbro and all the great stuff there. 1 block from Copenhagen central station. ideal. Would deffo go again - just make sure you take an eye mask as it gets very bright at 4am :)

We appreciated being so close to the train station. Despite that, it's in a quiet area. There are plenty of small coffee shops very nearby and we enjoyed trying different ones for breakfast. This was the 5th hotel of our trip (rest were in Norway) and it was the largest room we had which was nice because it was 2 friends sharing the room.

The breakfast was great but I wish it was had a bit more Danish offerings. The staff were nice and welcoming. My room did not have a small refrigerator, which would have been nice. Also there is no AC but that is pretty common for Northern European hotels. I happened to be there during a heat wave and it was hot. The room had a ceiling fan and the hotel provided a fan as well. I love how the hotel is personable and sends texts to guests regarding events. Many thanks!
