Best Western of Crestview

It's really sad and a disgrace and disappointment we drove 4 hours to come for vacation just to get here and there's no food when we went down for breakfast as SOON as it opened. Meaning they only put out a small portion. Then we paid so much for the room for the pool to be closed. What's the point in charging so much for a room when there's nothing here? CLOSE THE HOTEL !! 5 families complained about the same thing.

The pool was closed, breakfast was until 9 but you went to eat at 8 and there was nothing and you asked the staff and they said there was no more, the orange and apple juice one day were spoiled and I left it that way , the musty smell in the room was too strong

Asked for something from front desk never got it ! Put at end of hall but can’t go out doors to walk dog. Wouldn’t know how to get out in case of fire which is really bad .

Good-it is next door to Cracker Barrel and shopping in general. Easy freeway access. Affordable. Bad-No towels when we arrived, dirty bathroom floor. However, housekeepers fixed that. Computer downstairs not working.

When I booked the hotel I was looking for a comfortable bed, a hot shower and a breakfast buffet. Upon arriving I found that the hotel was being remodeled. Boxes of material were piled up in the lobby, the breakfast area, and at the ends of the hallways ... right outside my room. The room was clean, but the bed was too soft, and the water in the shower was tepid at best. There was no breakfast available due to the remodeling, nor was there a computer or printer available for guests. The one bright spot was their employees. They were pleasant and helpful.

Staff was friendly however this hotel is not clean. There was some kind of sauce on our bathroom door. Something had leaked out of the microwave all over the drawers and was never wiped up. Only had a quarter of roll of toilet paper in our room (we had 4 people). Stains on carpet. In much need of some maintenance. The pool area has an ADA chair that has the wires exposed and hoses laying all over where people can trip over.

The workers were friendly, the breakfast was average, the bed was comfortable. However, the remote was old and didn’t work well, the elevator failed to work one day, and the biggest thing was the issues with pipes. Reported drain not going down - solution was removing stopper. Water went down, but very slowly. This was for entire 6 night stay. Toilet also failed to work for one-two days.

I'm usually a Holiday Inn stop-over, but summer rates are extremely high. Quality sits side by side with Cracker Barrel right opposite of both. Quality isn't as updated, and there is some lack of amenities but overall was worth nearly $60 less. I'll stay here again, but bring my own Sweet n Low and such.

This hotel is under construction, do not offer anything, also very strange that I only saw the receptionist once, when I checked in on Saturday morning, the whole weekend nobody was at the desk, a little bit scary that anyone can just get inside of the hotel, no security at all. Carpet was nasty, very bad smell in the room, shower was broken, and I can continue naming things, I honestly didn’t change to another hotel because I can’t afford to lose my money for cancellation, but I definitely will not come back here.

The exterior doors to the property were all broken, meaning access was available to anyone who wanted to walk in from outside. There were spiders and other bugs all over the grounds, along with litter. There is clearly not a groundskeeper. Location was good, and it was quiet. The staff was friendly enough at the front desk, but homeless people were sitting in the lobby watching TV as we walked in. The bathroom was not clean. There were hairs on the shower curtain and the roll of toilet paper was not fresh. There was trash stuffed into the toilet paper roll holder.

This hotel is filthy. We checked in, looked at the room, and immediately went down to talk to the check-in clerk and let him know that we would not be staying and asked for a refund. THREE weeks later, I am still battling hotels.com & the hotel to get my refund. BUY BEWARE!

Great looking place from the road but that ends as soon as you walk past the front desk. Floors are unfinished. walls and door look like they've been to battle. Everywhere I stepped that was uncarpeted (including bathroom/vanity)we sticky. Carpet had cigarette burns and paint stains. Toilet wobbled unsteadily. Housekeeping is upon request (no issues with the policy) but I requested cleaning twice and both times, I had to remind the clerk at 5:30pm (I was out of the room from 3am to 430pm every day) that i had requested and not received housekeeping. The first time I was told someone called out and I could get cleaning the following day. Clerk then went and fussed at an employee who promptly cleaned my room and apologized (explained I wasn't upset with them and tipped them generously). Second time, the clerk (a male this time) became indignant and claimed it was because they were booked up the previous night. Again, they fussed at the same employee from before and repeated the "I'm not upset with you" and tip dance (while i waited in the car (after being up at 2:30 am to leave for work). shouldn't be a guests problem. Room smelled of old smoke and mildew. Had to exterminate 3 roaches. Water pressure is non-existent as is hot water at 2:30 am. Holes in ceiling, roaches and a an ice machine in need of a serious cleaning on top of a staff (except the lady hat cleaned my room) all had bad attitudes and a list of excuses ready for why they have issues = a bad week.

Property was dirty especially bathroom and halls of hotel. Pillows hardly had any filling. There was no iron in room , only one set of towels and shower handle fell off when trying to use. We will never stay here again !

Noisy from guests that were living there. No breakfast was available except for cereal. Mice turds were found in draws and woke up with an earwig in my water cup the next morning. Another couple came in and said they moved them several times because of inadequate rooms and roaches. Manager was not available to make an appointment with them to discuss the matter. Cleaners were dressed sloppy but they were friendly. Front counter was unmanned for long periods of time. Watched a family come in and waited to get checked in and no one was there and they left. I won't stay here again.

Our first room we were in had hair in the shower, and in the sheets. There were also stains on the sheets. The floor was very sticky and felt nasty. There was no hot water for a while and the hot water finally turned on when we were ready to get out. The overall room was pretty nasty, so we got put into another room. The other room also had hair in the same spots, and black mold around the AC unit. It just looked overall in bad shape. There wasn't a door handle on the fire exit. We stayed here five years ago and it was in much better condition then. I don't know what happened.

Beds very comfortable and room clean. Great bang for your buck!

I had stayed here several years ago and it was ok. I don't think there has been any cleaning or referb since then. Floors sticky (put down towels to get to bathroom without shoes), carpet and bed linins stained, outlets and lamps grimy, tub chipped and worn. This property needs to be completely gutted and redone. Only positive was beds were not uncomfortable and provided plenty of pillows. Don't stay here until redone.

Place was dirty. There weren't enough sheets for the room. Won't stay here again.

I do not know who the new owner is, but the property was dirty and not well maintained. There was rarely staff at the front desk and my room had no trashcan and the TV was in poor condition.

While it fit the bill for what we needed I would not recommend this place. The property was obviously not kept up. The room door had no security lock and holes/gaps where you could see out and in.The AC would stop working and you had to turn it off, wait 10-15 min and turn it back on to get it to cool. The bed covers were torn, 2 extremely thin towels provided (you could see through them). The “breakfast” was an actual joke with stale cereal, little Debbie cakes, bread/toaster and one small pan of eggs. The shower took 10 min to even get lukewarm and then would get cold again after 10 min. There was no insulation or sound proofing and you could clearly hear your neighbors talking, even at normal volume. The back doors wouldn’t let you in with your key (they were aware) so it stayed propped open with a rug. The fridge in the room froze anything you put in it, while the microwave took 5 min to even get your food warm ish. the staff was very nice, but other than that I would not recommend staying here.

Our room had major water damage which was not fixed, nasty looking. There was no hot water, the walls are thin and people were loud - next door and in the hall. Hallway carpet had large water stains. Breakfast consisted of yogurt, few pieces of fruit, cold cereal, waffles, coffee and a pitcher of juice. NOT my idea of a nice stay.

It was fine. I have no major complaints, really. The fridge in our room didn't work, and the deadbolt didn't work. A couple of small things seemed to be missing, and the breakfast was less than satisfactory, but the beds were comfortable. Though my husband and I slept in separate beds because they were small!

First room pulled the sheets back black dog hair all in the sheets. Second room was a little better. Had to go and ask for towels since there was only one in the room. Next morning took over 10 minutes to get warm water and the shower handle was falling off and the water faucet was also loose and falling off. And the toilet paper holder would pull right out of the wall!!!

The only rhing nice about the hotel was the staff and the breakfast. The walls in the room are paper thin and you can everything next door. The hot water in the shower did not work. The smoke detector light flashed very bright every minute. The fan on the A/C unit would not stay on even when prompted on the control panel. I will not be staying Best Western again.

Room heat and A/C not working

1st room no heat. Doors you had to slam shut to make sure they locked properly. 1st room also had no garbage cans. 2nd room receptical had no cover, bedside lamp was rusty, desk lamp wouldn't work and did not have the security door latch.

The front desk staff was very friendly but the room wasn’t great. The first room we were assigned smelled horrible so we were able to switch. The next room didn’t smell that great but wasn’t as bad. There were stains and holes in the sheets and covers. The shower head was not working properly in the shower either. This won’t be a bad hotel if they fix those minor problems.

Got to our room found the TV off the wall, part of AC system taken apart, no hot water, no towels, and a roach crawling on the wall. Maybe they were working on the room we don't know but the front desk looked at us like we were crazy! We have been staying at this property every year over the past 22 or so years with no problems. The staff did let us move to a clean room for the rest of our stay. Think we will try the Holiday Inn Express next door on our next trip.

Paper thin walls and stingy on towels. Never got my $50 deposit back either.

So dirty! A garbage can and towel set in the middle of the lobby floor from the time we checkked in until we left the following morning. Caution tape was one a room door and the exit door at the end of the hallway. Hall in front of the elevators and mud clumps when we checked in and still when we checked out. Filthy bathrooms.Breakfast room was a mess and had waffle batter on the wall and floor. If it wasn't for being non-refundable, we would have never stayed. Staff was extremely rude!

We needed an early check in and the desk clerk was so friendly and accommodating! Every time we entered the lobby we were met by a friendly Hello! and asked how they could help. Bedding and bed were so comfortable, room was clean, cool and quiet so we could get the sleep we so desperately needed.

We arrived and had to call the number to the hotel to get someone to the front desk after 15 minutes of standing there and saying hello tapping on the desk. (We thought & were concerned something happened to the clerk). We got them on the phone she finally came to the desk. Then she couldn’t communicate well to explain anything to us. She offered a double bed after we reserved a king bed we said no we wanted what we reserved then she went on the elevator then came back started yelling across the lobby & hall way on first floor a another persons name then said we can go upstairs with her and she can see if a room was clean (multiple times of her trying to explain this to us with SEVERE language barrier) Finally we go up stairs with her she found a clean room we checked with her we went back down and was able to check in about an hour after arrival! The clerk had bad attitude along with her inability to explain the exact situation to us. (Attitude b4 any vrbl comm) The bathrooms in the lobby were nasty and no soap or paper towels to was our hands after using toilet. Our room offered only 2 towels 1 wash cloth no shampoo or soap for shower diaper sets empty. The room did appear clean thankfully. This is not the experience we wanted and do not recommend staying at this location. We will not be eating the “complimentary” breakfast bc of fear the food might be spoiled or not prepared in a cleanly manner - again lobby restrooms are nasty! Thanks but no thanks.

Decided to do a road trip rather than fly. Thought we would stop in Pensacola, but no hotels available and had to drive another hour and ended up here. Check-in took a long time, and the clerk told us they were the only hotel that had any rooms left within an hour drive of Pensacola. The hotel had been recently renovated and looked nice from the outside and in the lobby, but there was a chemical odor the moment you walked in the doors. That odor continued into the room. I think it was due to the carpet which had several colors, including black, which I observed on my feet after a trip to the bathroom! When I woke, the room was filled with light. A huge spotlight shone in the windows as we were below the hotel sign. There was only a thin see thru curtain. The beds were comfortable and the room was clean but when went down for breakfast at 9 am, we were told there was no more food left!!! We ran out the door!

Clean, quiet and very affordable. Not a super fancy hotel but rooms seemed to be well maintained and very clean for the price we paid. We had an issue with our first room (security latch was broken) and staff did not hesitate to make it right by putting us in a different room. Front desk staff (2nd shift) went above and beyond to ensure we had a great stay!

The hotel was nice and clean and breakfast was good The problem that I have is that we checked in and our air conditioner in our room wasn't working properly. I called the front desk and the clerk stated that she had to call her manager. I waited about fifteen minutes and still haven't gotten a call back. I was already exhausted from traveling and just wanted to shower and decompress. I called back to the front desk and was told that the manager states that they would try to figure out the air conditioners malfunction, but no one showed up to address the situation. I asked could I be moved to another room and was told no that they couldn't move us. I proceeded to go downstairs to then be told that they didn't have any other rooms cleaned so they couldn't move me. I waited for another thirty minutes from them to walk around to see if rooms were available. Then all of a sudden after I stated that I demand a refund in cash since I paid with a credit card with a hold on my credit card for the total amount due plus incidentals the clerk amazingly had rooms that were available. The clerk and I went to one room and the key didn't work so she had to call her manager back to figure out the problem. Now an hour after checking in has passed by and they finally found a room that was available. People were steadily coming to check in only to find out that once they checked in their room assigned was occupied by another guest. I would never stay here again.

We stayed for a month at this hotel. It was clean, inviting and the staff really made us feel at home, going above and beyond. The lobby was very homie and welcoming. We were there on business and it was nice to have a place we could take our dog. The front desk manager, Rochelle, is one of the hardest working and people I’ve ever met. What a great stay!

Outdated hotel with clearly no plans to fix it. Breakfast was not good. Waited 10 minutes for them to replenish bread, muffins, eggs and waffle mix. Finally gave up and left. This was at 8am and it goes until 9. The whole time we waited there was nobody at the front desk. When we left after 9 there was again nobody at the front desk. I put our keys on the keyboard and left.

Good experience overall. Water took a few minutes to heat up, shower pressure kind of low. Wouldn’t have made anything in the in room coffee pot. No breakfast as advertised. However, overall nice room and good stay

Check in host was excellent,downhill after that! Heat never came on, even when we put heat button on and put temperture at 84 only cold air come out of unit, it was so cold in the room could not take a shower. We both are suffering from head colds today. Also toilet paper holding comes out of wall when you try to use it. Sink did not drain had to hold the stopper on with our fingernails. To top it off hot breakfast was out of order? Even the water cooler was empty. Told all this to clerk when checking out.

The front desk was rude. She did not provide quality service (too bad it is called QUALITY inn). The room was not cleaned everyday— it smelled like smoke even though it’s nonsmoking. It is practically called a do-it-yourself hotel. You still have to approach anybody for services like towel, tissue paper, and etc. Also, the breakfast was horrible— no variety and all out of stock. It was always sausage and egg. And the drink dispensers were always empty.

Tidy, clean, quiet. We enjoyed our stay very much and would absolutely stay again. Front desk employee who checked me in was extremely friendly. Breakfast was eh. Edible but nothing to write home about.

Small room. Faucet in tub was about to fall off. Had to hold it to pull up button to get shower to come on. Went to breakfast, opened waffle maker and there was a partial waffle molded in it. We told front desk, she came over and said yeah you’re not supposed to use that one. We said, don’t you think you should take it away, put sign on it or CLEAN it. Coffee tasted like they just kept same pot from day before. After first day never went to good area again. Will NEVER stay there again.

Overall great value for money. Clean, very comfortable mattress and pillows, great breakfast selection - better than expected. The only negative was shower hot water was barely hot - more like warm. Note: Road construction in front and beside hotel (not their fault) - a bit confusing when entering at night.
