Stayed here many times over the years previous to Visy and have never paid for parking, I understand to charge if workers from nearby buildings were using but hotel guests should not be charged. The hotel is years overdue for an update, the hallways smelt and very run down. There was a fire alarm went off at midnight waking all from their sleep and it appeared that only one night manager on duty and one security guard, they both appeared to be “lost” and giving NO direction to anyone. The culprit for the alarm was a male in a room smoking. We didn’t even bother to stay for breakfast as couldn’t wait to leave. The second worst hotel I have stayed in and the actually worst in Hawaii was due for demolition - this should be on the list for this hotel.

The property is a bit old and tired. While the rooms are spacious, beds are comfortable and there are adequate amenities, the carpet in the bedroom is rippled (causing a trip hazard) and the bathroom is very outdated. Of particular concern was the black between the tiles in the bath shower and the fact that there are no robust grab rails while stepping in and out of the bath to shower.
