What I didn’t like ,it has no elevator to carry your luggage to the second floor, everything else is fine, the staff is nice and professional

Only thing that was really a downside was the pool wasn't open.

When in Amarillo, we stay at this Baymont Inn. Super convenient too I-40, fuel, and restaurants. Great lighted parking and good sized comfortable room.

Clean hotel, friendly guy at check in, but showing some wear and tear (though nothing preventing comfort). Note that there is no elevator in this two-floor hotel; according to the guy at the front desk, the king rooms are all on the second floor.

The property was about what I expected for the price I paid for the room. The only issue I had was there was no elevator to get to the second floor. I realize that your particular hotel is not required to have one by law. Everything else was fine.

This hotel had a great rating. However, the guest laundry was out of service so i am stuck in dirty clothes today. I would stay there again, but i need the guest laundry service.

The property was an older property that had been renovated. It was clean and the staff was very friendly. The building just needs some more renovations. But for the price it was good. The hotel next door was abandoned and falling apart. The pool was not in working order. So the outside was not very pleasant. But once again for the price it was good.

Loved the big bed & clean bathroom. Good spots for truck & trailer parking. Nice & clean. Only complaint no elevator, but not the end of the world!

Very clean, comfortable rooms and public spaces, and convenient on and off 0f I-40 in either direction. For it being on I-40 it is very quiet inside of the building. May I add we have been traveling from Houston to Denver every year for the past 5 years and the same personnel have been there.

It is not kept well at all. The furniture was old including the bed and mattresses. Carpet is old. Bathroom was not well cleaned. There was a long black hair in the bathtub and a blob of something slimy in the sink. The hall was old and the carpet old with wrinkles. After seeing the room I checked out.

Old and a little dirty

Stayed here several times throughout the years. The place has gone downhill. The back door was broken, the bedding was damp, the bathroom was dirty, the room was dirty. It has an odor. The ice machine was gross and dirty. The carpeting was dirty. Just really disappointed.

For the price, I didn't expect too much. However, there were a few issues that manages to surprise me. We had stained sheets, a very foul smelling hand towel that was left on the floor of our room and the couch/chair had giant scratch marks from a dog that had been in the room previously. The shower curtain let water run right out and the floor would be covered in water from a small shower and the drawers in our room were broken and impossible to pull out (large ottoman drawer). The rolling chair was also broken and if you barely sat against the back of the chair, you'd fling backwards alarmingly fast and fall over with no warning.

I was unable to sleep because a bed bug was crawling on my neck and disturbed my sleep for the night. I was traveling a great distance and needed to sleep but was unable to get a good nights sleep.

The room was clean and did not smell. The bathroom was nice and clean.

The room was not the cleanest. The bathroom was not cleaned at all around the bar of the toilet. The ice machine had stuff growing on it

Price was good but the AC was very loud. Had to use earplugs to get to sleep. Bed was creaky and uncomfortable but I managed to get to sleep.

Bathroom outdated and small. Tub seemed unclean but could just be wear & tear. Same with bath floors. Room had no art, just plain walls. Property seemed very worn, grounds dirty and unkept. No elevator (might have said that in website and I missed). On plus side: continental breakfast was great! Bed/pillows were awesome!

Stay was OK. Our AC would not turn on high and we were sweating all night. We told the manager in the morning and he said we could have said something and got moved to another room. That’s great but kinda hard to wake your family up and move your stuff in the middle of the night when you realize there is a problem. Breakfast was good.

Service was very prompt when the toilet wouldn't flush completely and everyone was friendly. Hotel/room was just older. Stains in tub, stickiness on night stand and lots of hall noises and road noise. Glad we didn't pay more than we did.

Comfy, a bit shabby, but not dirty. Seems like they do a ton of business. Bring earplugs, doors are thin & you hear everything in the hallway, but it wasn’t raucous. Just busy. Great TV channel selection! Hot breakfast, super friendly staff.

Everything was great except the bathroom. It was very small, but served the purpose. My family all wear contacts so there wasn't much room on the vanity to leave the cases and solutions.

Great friendly people. All the basics in place; very reasonable price. However, our room’s front door wouldn’t shut without making a horrible noise - it was slightly misaligned with the wall. Also, two different small tables in our room needed repair work on their legs. We’d go back for sure, as the good outweighed these little details - but a maintenance project would be a solid investment.

Staff was great beds were super comfortable

It has all the basics, fridge, microwave, Directv, coffee maker etc... clean but the interior needs a good renovation

Rooms were old and furniture was beat up. Bed was great though.

Great continental breakfast options, clean, we’ll organized and good selection. A BIG shoutout to Jennifer Ironfield, front desk extraordinaire! We had car issues and had to stay in Amarillo for repairs. She got us fixed up with a ground floor room, convenient access for our van and dog, two beds and quiet! We thought we might have to stay an extra day for repairs so she made sure our current room would be available if we needed it. She made our stay definitely less stressful! She’s a keeper!!

Great value! Hotel has been recently renovated and is in good condition. Very clean room and bed and linens very comfortable. Good continental breakfast provided with plenty of food options. Extremely nice staff. Richard went out of his way to ask how our stay was.

The entire staff at this property was excellent! Everyone was both professional and courteous. Felt like Lexi, the check-in clerk was exceptionally helpful, friendly and knowledgeable.

Do not stay here—especially if you are traveling alone or as a female travelers. I arrived around 1:00 a.m. to check in, and no one was at the front desk. I waited several minutes, even called the hotel, before the attendant finally appeared, casually saying she had been “swapping out a hair dryer.” Not a reassuring start. The hotel has no elevator, which was never disclosed. I was told to park in the back and use the stairs, but when I drove around, both back doors were propped wide open. No staff, no security, no guests—just open access for anyone to walk in. The parking lot was extremely sketchy. Out of nowhere, a man appeared carrying a pink bag, staring directly at me, then wandered off toward the truck parking without getting into a vehicle. Almost immediately, another man came around the corner, leaned against the building, kept his hands behind his back, and exchanged long stares with the first man—all of this happening at 1 a.m. on a weeknight. It felt unsafe, like they were watching me. At that point, I did not feel secure even getting out of my car. I got back in and left immediately, deciding to continue driving home. I called the front desk to report what happened. The attendant said she would “handle it” and refund my money, but I have yet to receive a refund. This place is unsafe, unprofessional, and gives off serious red-flag vibes. If your safety matters to you, avoid this property at all costs.

The gentleman at the front desk was very courteous and customer service oriented. He very much engaged with me throughout the entire check in process. He was very helpful in giving me some insight on places to go on our trip and specifically on the restaurant that we were planning to eat at.. Unfortunately I didn’t get his name.. Kudosto him..

The staff, specially Rick, was very accommodating, woth parking simce we were hauling a uhaul trailor.

Check in took about 45 minutes, close to 30 of those were spent waiting on the front desk person to get there. They were short on housekeeping and she was not at the front desk, but helping get rooms ready. The carpets in the hall were soo dirty with crumbs and visible mess and everything was just kinda dingy. The room was clean enough but outdated and smelled kinda musty. The ac cooled the room but only to a “tolerable” temperature, I woke up sweating under the blanket. Breakfast was crowded and had limited options. Was fine enough, but would not stay here again

The location is nice - just off the freeway, but it’s next door to a derelict hotel. This hotel does not have an elevator and all king rooms are on the second floor. The doors stuck and made terrible noises when we opened them. The clerk was very friendly and eventually assigned us rooms next door to each other. We didn’t try breakfast as it takes place in the main lobby. The lobby smelled so strongly of disinfectant that we didn’t want to eat with the strong odor.

We liked the clean rooms, friendly staff, parking and close walking distance t o Denny's.

The location is excellent for Amarillo--in the center of town. The motel itself is older but not shabby and is kept very tidy with fresh painting in the hallways and a very inviting and well decorated lobby. The breakfast was good, with surprisingly good coffee, and the drinking water in the rooms was also good which is not usual in Amarillo. The staff is very friendly. There is no elevator on the property and when we realized this, we asked for a ground floor room and they immediately accommodated our request and switched our first request (a King Size bed) for two queens, which was fine for us. There was a small table with two chairs which was a nice surprise--nice to have a working space in a room. We met the owner years ago during one of our many drive throughs from Colorado to Dallas and back, and we are so pleased to see our first impressions were not incorrect!

Really accessible to the highway. Pretty good breakfast. Clean room. Surrounding properties are pretty run down. Some dining about 10 minutes away. Overall a good place to stay

Property definitely older, in a rough area, property next door is closed with construction fence. Doors are loud We were placed all the way to the end, like an 1/8th mile walk to the front desk. Room was ok, small, but good for one night. Breakfast was edible, over cooked sausage patties and runny scrambled eggs. Will probably stay on other side of the highway next go around.

Homeless dogs met us a block away, we saw five. The lot backs up to another hotel that is abandoned and my kids were scared. People walking around drinking outside at 1am in an early Friday morning

Weird part of town. Empty Motel next door, which left a creepy feeling.

Needed a place to stop enroute to my business meeting. Convenient, on the Interstate, breakfast, and quick checkin - out.

The breakfast is wonderful and the dining area is very nice and clean.

Waffles stuck to the waffle maker. Front desk lady was irritating and called me love every sentence.

My only negative comment is the breakfast was cold. We got there at 6:10 and the eggs and sausages were icy cold already.

The common areas needed to be cleaned. Needed to be vacuumed. And were very run down looking. Breakfast was supposed to start at 6:00 and was not prepared and ready until 6:30. The breakfast area was full of people waiting for breakfast. Very frustrating. No waffles either!

Great hotel near the center of Amarillo. Perfect place to crash for 2 nights while visiting the Texas Panhandle. Breakfast was nice for being a freebie, and the hotel staff were very friendly.

Older hotel, no elevators, beds very hard & uncomfortable, family & I was going to have their breakfast & there was a hair in the scrabble eggs. So we decided to eat else where. Breakfast didnt look good at all.

Upgraded to a suite, was told it would be bigger. And it was just a regular room with a hard couch and furniture crammed together. The eggs and sausage were barely warm.
