Comfort Inn & Suites Amarillo West Near Medical Center

Rooms and staff were excellent! Largest and cleanest pool and hot tub I've ever seen! Parking, however, is a bit of a nightmare, especially after 5pm. Will book again when traveling to Amarillo.

The pool was closed because of chemicals i dont understand why they waited till the weekend to do it . And then the place needs some updates

Great location. Hot tub and pool were great release from all the travel time. Absolutely positive when I am in the Area again this will be my go to place.

Pool was green and cloudy. Air conditioner rattled keeping kids awake. Had to sleep with it off. Shower head was way too low for average height man

The single elevator at this facility was out of service

Elevator didn’t work. Very nice staff. Bottom of hot tub felt weird on my feet. Clean rooms and NO BED BUGS!

Pool -and hot tub were clean and huge and indoor

Most of the stay was great. It was not good that the elevator was out. I wish we had of known because I would have found something with a working elevator. Other than that our stay was good.

The bathroom was in bad condition and bugs under the bathroom.

The room was clean. Didn't find hair anywhere and the carpet actually felt clean. Smelled clean. Cookies by checkout were a nice touch. PB cookie was delish. Breakfast was ok. Country potatoes, powdered eggs, strawberry waffles, yogurt, cereal, toast, sausage links, gravy, biscuits, picante was available. The juices were the best part though. Very flavorful ands not watered down. Quiet sleep, AC was nice and the window actually opened for fresh air. No complaints would stay here again if we come back for Bucees in the future! Our room had a jetted bathtub. Pretty cool feature.

The rooms were very clean, but the lobby area definitely lacked in cleaning. Front doors on hotel were stuck and sometimes didn’t open. Elevator made the worst sounds when moving up and down.

Room smelled musty and the carpet is filthy. I thought bed was ok husband said he didn't sleep at all. The hotel has not been kept up. Entrance is dirty, it's just dirty and needs attention.

Room had a musty smell when we arrived. We could hear the people in the room next to ours until about 1:00am( very loud and rude people). Then as we were leaving early for our ride home, you could hear someone in the same room vomiting. Comfort Inn used to be a nice place to stay. The last 2 we've stayed at haven't been good at all.

Had to have staff come in to pick up old dog poop behind the curtains!

There were cockroaches in the bathroom and the carpet had an odor. The carpet needs to be cleaned and get rid of the bugs.

This place is run down and dirty the walls r very thin can hear everything. The girl at front desk was rude our room was dirty when we asked for it to b cleaned she said maids left already. The jetted tub in the room was gross had clumps of hair stuck in jets. Tv didn’t work first night was there was told the maintenance man had went home as well. There was mold on window seal and grease spots on headboard from other people heads. The pool and hot tub were also dirty and run down. The breakfast was ok but wasn’t very warm n ran out of food right away. Will not stay again. 😟

One persone working check in. Very nice and helpful. The room was stuffy with odd smell. Hard beds with pillows slightly bigger than aorplane pillows. Lightbulbs missing. Desk phone to reach front desk did not work. Furniture old and dingy, small sofa very dirty. Morning frint desk clerk hiding behind her cell pho e and no acknowledging anyone. Rude.

When we arrived our room smelled like weed. The blankets were dirty and when we asked for a different room they down graded our room with no discounts

This is a great, economical place to stay. It's quiet, the breakfast was good, and the room was clean and comfortable. I'll be staying here again on our return trip home.

The hotel is OK i guess. The carpet in the halls are dirty. The main issue and why I'd never go back is the mattress was ROCK Hard! And luckily I had my own pillow because the ones in the room were a joke.

Would of been rated higher if there would have been directions in the bath how to turn on the shower. I was told on check out that there was a little ring on the bottom of the faucet that needed to to be pulled. A little to late. A sticker on the show would go a long way. I'm sure others have had the same issue.

I liked everything about my stay here. Great room, comfortable bed and pillows, friendly staff. The whirlpool in my room was excellent. Did not try the pool or breakfast.

The building is old and tired. The room a/c would only work at the temp that it wanted regardless of what button I pushed. The hallway was much more comfortable by comparison. The bed was good though- at least there was a places to sweat the night away. The couch beds had dirty sheets as well. So these are the reasons for the low rating.

Our room was clean and smelled fresh. The breakfast options were good and there was room for us to sit down. Two bed pillows were too soft and two were too hard. I’ve never encountered pillows like this. The shower was confusing to use. When I finally figured it out, the water was lukewarm and the water pressure was too low. I’ll be trying a different hotel next time.

Was disappointed that room was right next to the elevator and vending machine which was a slight distraction. The air conditioning was poor as the room felt quite warm. The room curtains did not provide adequate darkness.

The worst pillows I’ve ever tried to sleep on. They felt like concrete blocks with a pillow case on them. All of them….hard a a rock.

Room was ok, old needs update and new mattress.

Secured a room for a friend who was in a bad situation and when she arrived at the hotel, the refused to let her check in because she lives in the same city as the hotel. I’m out $185 and she was turned away…outrage probably isn’t a big enough word!

Everything was clean, the room smelled really nice. Had a short stay didn’t experience much of the hotel otherwise! Sweet lady at the front desk!

Clean, quiet and comfortable. We were looking forward to the hot tub, but it was only tepid when we got in. I contacted the front desk and a maintenance man was there within minutes. He got it warmed up and it was wonderful. I appreciate the quick response.

Tried to cancel. Had booked the date in error months ago. No response. They simply took my money. Rigid cancellation policy even though it was MONTHS in advance.

Great experience: staff was very accommodating! When we booked our stay, we had requested a non-smoking room bc of my current health issues, however, when we arrived, the tag on the room said non-smoking but upon opening the door it was very evident someone had been smoking in there. The hotel was full so we couldn't just go to another room. The staff brought in an ozone machine to clean the air while we went out to dinner and then opened our window. When we got back to our room, the smoke smell was gone and our room was fresh and clean :) Hotel and room was clean, great breakfast, most comfortable beds out there :) We have this place marked as a stop whenever we come through this area. We love Comfort Suites! We've been staying at Comfort Suites for the past 30 years whenever we travel. Ty Comfort Suites for all you do to take care of us ❤️

Desk cleark yreated me as an inconvenience instead of a paying customer.

This was genuinely the worst hotel stay my husband and I have ever had. The room we were initially given REEKED of cigarette smoke, so we called the front desk and requested a room change. When we went to the front desk, the night shift lady at the front desk was rude and treated us like an inconvenience. The second room we were given was on the third floor and the elevator was out of order so we had to go up and down three flights of stairs every time we went to and from our room. Not to mention, you could tell that someone had smoked weed in the stairwell because there was a very distinctive smell in there. In addition to this, the room cards would randomly stop working. We had to go to the front desk multiple times for them to reactivate the key cards and none of the key cards ever worked on the outside doors. The snack vending machine on the first floor had major issues as well. I bought a seriously overpriced bag of hot Cheetos that got stuck on the very bottom of the vending machine where you grab what it drops. I went to the front desk to ask the night shift lady to help me get it and all she said was “How much was it?” She didn’t even try to help me. I told her that i wasn’t sure but that I thought it was $2.50 but it charged me at least fifteen cents more because of the credit card surcharge. She said nothing, just rolled her eyes and only gave me $2.50. Not even a full refund of the item. I can honestly say that we will never be staying at that hotel again.

Front desk staff was kind and efficient. Everything was in order and good condition.

Great location and staff

It took us a few stays to understand the direction of traffic. But the way it was arranged meant it was quiet with no heavy traffic going around it but close enough to the interstate to make it convenient for dining and shopping.

Property was easily accessible from the freeway.

Since the front lot was full, we parked in the back lot. We when we were leaving the next morning, our cargo bag was missing from the top of our vehicle, despite being secured with 10 straps. Some of the straps had been cut. The front-desk clerk was matter-of-fact about the incident, giving us a paper to complete for the hotel and information for filing an online police report. There are no security cameras for the back lot, she said.

When we first got to the property it seemed like a sketchy neighborhood. The outside parking lot definitely needed to be cleaned up. And there was a lot of noise in the area less than a football field link from the interstate.

Very quiet location with easy access to restaurants and our relatives homes. Great breakfast

Beds comfortable and rooms clean. Needs a little updating but overall a good value for the price. Breakfast attendant could do a better job keeping hot items stocked. Several guests left upset because there was no hot food available.

The room was good. They had several workers staying there. The breakfast was not as good as most Comfort Inns, the gravy was cold. The bottom part of the eggs was in a yellow liquid.

Excellent price. Clean rooms. Breakfast included that was good. Safe area. Gas station 300 ft away. Restaurants and fast food very close to walk to. I'd recommend this place as a stop. Also it had a clean indoor pool and workout room. 👍

The hotel is beautiful! Our room looked newly updated and was clean and spacious. The breakfast had everything one could want.
