Wish there was some seating in the room. All we had was a chair at the desk. No couch, arm chair, etc. The shower head was awful, there was more water that dripped down the back of the shower instead of spraying out through the head. Pillows and bed were comfy. Wish the lobby had an area to sit and hang out. The back breakfast area had the lights off and seemed off limits at non breakfast times.

The hotel was under construction and we were not made aware, our room had the smallest window and I am claustrophobic. They switched my room and still put me in the same kind of room. Very disappointed, will never go to this hotel again.

The trespassers following my husband into the hotel and to the elevator to beg when we didn’t have anything. The amount of renovations and the mess in the lobby. The only positive is the fact that it’s close to MVP Arena and it was convenient to reach after our show was done.

The bed was not very comfortable. The hotel is renovating and the lobby was dirty and there was no drinks and very little snack choices available. I was misunformed about breakfast time and almost everything was cleaned up by my arrival at 905 am. Another couple who said they got there at 850am and most everything was gone. Only waffles and juice were left. When i asked front desk staff about it they were rude and disrespectful to me. I will not be staying here again. My last stay was iffy but this one was horrible. You have to walk 2 blocks or more to park your car and pay to park in a public garage. The hotel has no parking available. I had reservations for 2 rooms and she only checked me into 1 until i asked despite me saying there were 2 when i arrived booked at the same time and she daid she saw that. Happened the first time i was there too.

Very clean. The elevators are a bit dated, but it's fine, they work. Staff was very friendly. I had a spacious room. It was quite good. The breakfast was okay. The breakfast area was quite spacious. The area around the hotel is a bit dodgy...there were quite a few homeless people around--one looked very aggressive. Although I did go to St. Mary's for Sunday Mass...gorgeous church, worth the detour. It's just too bad Albany doesn't have more civic pride, there's so much potential in this town.

Well located, for weekend parking was easy nearby but no unload area so be ready to walk with luggage. Room was clean and comfy, check in desk was friendly and helpful. Soundproofing is not the best; we heard drunks in hallway well up to 1am. Probably just our luck more than hotel issue.

While the location is great, the rooms need to be updated. My door did not lock when departing without several steps, the iron did not work, and the shower was not cleaned. There was hair in several spots that didn’t match my color or length. At the price I paid for this stay, I should not have encountered any of this.

The room had a beautiful bathroom, but the shower tiles were fill with mildew. The rest of the room was well kept. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast options are limited. Overall we had a great stay.

This was the best hotel stay I have had in years. All the staff were very friendly, the entire building was clean and quiet. This is the first time I have EVER stayed in a hotel were the entire eating area was spotless , food was excellent, the staff was friendly and plenty of choices to eat. Highly recommend

They have decided to put portable AC units in the rooms, which do not keep up and it seems like this isn't a temporary solution. Our room is 80 degrees, currently. There was not notification of this change to the room when we made the reservation or when we checked in. The bathroom is like a sauna. Front desk manager was rude (Gerald) and basically told us to deal with it when we asked for another room. As a Bonvoy member, the front desk is usually so welcoming - this was the first time I was treated like this in 15 years. In addition to the rude manager, this hotel is also old, dirty, and unsafe. Not security card swipe when getting in the elevator. Starting to question whether the Marriott brand is tanking.

The television in my room did not work.The front desk gave me a 1-800 number for service for the tv. I called and provided them with the issue they promised me they would call back. They never did. I called the front desk again and they were unable to do anythIng about it. The individual at the front desk recommended I speak to manager in morning. I spoke to manager Lora the next day. First comment that came out of her mouth was since it booked through third party Expedia. She therefore commented there was not much she could do about the situation. She could have said so very sorry. What can I do for you. I was then told I was rude. I believe it would be beneficial for Lora to enrol in courses in customer service

One of my worst hotel stays ever, and I've stayed in hundreds! I checked in last night around 9 pm, after circling for what seemed like an hour trying to find parking. Everything was OK except the non-functioning wi-fi, so I went to bed, and suddenly at 2:30 am some stranger burst into my room and turned on the lights because the overnight clerk had given him the same room. He left without turning off the lights, so I had to get up and turn it off, and of course never got back to sleep. This morning the breakfast staff arrived very very late, so there was pretty much nothing to eat and the coffee was lukewarm & weak. Finally, I went back to my room to find that my key had been de-activated. This place is a pathetic excuse for a hotel. I really should have my night comped, and obviously I will never stay here again.

Well, if the nighttime front desk person tells you that you can park in the street please don’t believe them. I received a $40 ticket and a $50 ticket and my car was towed.

Talk about friendly staff! Seriously - we were checked in by the absolute nicest lady who just moved up from Virginia. She helped us with tips about parking, to honest recommendations for food. It’s nice to feel welcome when you are staying away from home. Breakfast far surpassed our expectations. And just like the lady at the desk there was another sweet and helpful lady in the breakfast room. Kudos to this place on their staffing all around! Guy at checkout- rwualy friendly. The room was spacious, bed comfy. Pillow too soft but if that’s the worst I can say than I’m a happy girl!

We had an event in town and needed to check in early. The room was not ready which was fine, so we left our bags and told them we would not be back until later at night. At about it 8pm that night I received a call from manager who indicated there was an incident with room and that we would need to relocate from hotel. They said a room was already reserved and paid for at a hotel 10 miles away. And indicated we did not need to come by this hotel, however we dropped our bags at this hotel earlier, so we went to hotel and they gave me assurance that the hotel room at new hotel was reserved and paid for. We took our bags and drove out if our way, to tye new hotel and upon arrival the manager at new hotel I daycares that they do not have room reserved and that she tried to communicate that to old hotel. But they I dusted on sending us to new hotel anyway. After much discussion the new hotel figured out a solution and we had our new room by 10pm that night.

The hotel room itself was excellent and the location was perfect. Only negative was the staff was not very friendly, apart from the morning desk staff during checkout who was excellent. During check in the desk attendant spoke to another person behind the desk more than me. The interaction with me were brief words like "ID" or just pointing to the card reader when he wanted me to pay. It just felt like we were a bother to him for checking in.

The hotel was fine. It was the harrowing experience of checking in that was traumatizing. Initially my key to room 308 didn't work. After returning to the front desk to reactivate it, I entered the room to discover an occupant guest laying on his bed. He wasn't very happy, nor am I. I was told the manager would be compensating me, but after 2 emails have not heard back. This is unacceptable. Can expedia refund my money? Thank you. We visited on the weekend - NOT a time to visit Albany. Most restaurant closed, streets deserted except for panhandlers. What a shame! Concert we attended Sunday night at the "Egg" was wonderful, it\'s a great venue. Can recommend this Fairfield Inn but not for weekend stays.

Hot breakfast buffet included with stay; also includes cereal , pastry, fruit etc. Complimentary guest laundry. 2 blocks to MVP arena. Parts of the hotel are a bit dated but for what I needed - breakfast & laundry included plus easy walk to MVP arena, it was absolutely perfect!

Check in was easy, very accommodating of our bicycles. We found good dining options within walking distance. The only problem was there was no breakfast as advertised...the breakfast worker just didn't show up for work!

Very comfortable. The bed was super comfortable. On the weekends, street parking is free. Otherwise there is an overnight charge. The desk staff was very accommodating and the breakfast was just right. Turkey sausage option was great for an allergy to pork.
