Check in took forever, like ofer 15 minutes to check us in, and he made a phone call during this whole process. And then I was told that even though I had booked a king bed I was getting a queen, I asked if I got a some refund due to the change in room. I was lied to and told that they were the same price. I was fine with the queen, however, on principle I feel they should have offered something in return for the change. I wasn't even offered a free bottle of water! Room was carpeted and I don't think it has ever been replaced since the building was first built (probably in the 70's), doors, walls and ceiling were dirty. Shower curtain rod was broken and hanging in place by a miricle. The room was very dark, felt cave like, and you can't open your curtains as you have people walking past all the time. Room was noisy due to facing the street, not much the hotel can do about that, but beware that this neighbourhood is very noisy. Bedding and towels were new and very clean. Cleaning staff were friendly. Breakfast is an option of either all bran flakes or fruit loops. No fruit, bagels, or yoghurt was on offer. I felt cheated with the lack of breakfast options. And to top it off the juice machine wasn't working. And even though it was a non smoking room it smelt of smoke, I guess it was from the old days when you could smoke in your room, and they just can't get the smell out of the carpet. Just another reason to replace it with LVP! If you have other options, choose them.

Rooms are clean-ish. Rooms are very old and well used. There were broken chairs, tv, and garbage around. When I went to check in, the had given my room away and did not have the double room I booked and were trying to tell me I needed to cancel my booking with hotels and deal with them to get my refund back. I fought with them because I had my booking to get a room. Very unprofessional, would not book there!!!

I had only read a few quick reviews while trying to book my trip. I was in a hurry and based on the location of the hotel and the few reviews I had read I assumed it would be OK. I was dead wrong. To be clear if you are a single woman traveling by yourself do not stay here. It is not safe. The room was filthy. I was leered at by several men who were just loitering outside of their rooms. A random woman tried to get in my Uber because she seemed to think the driver wanted something from her. Do not recommend.

The photos do not match the rooms. They are dated, the walls, couch, floors, and bathroom are a bit dirty. The beds were clean and comfortable. The ramp up to the rooms was rough with holes and ledges, making it hard to navigate and pull my suitcase over. The location is good with great restaurants nearby, and you’re a 10 minute uber from Broadway. The price is okay, the location makes up for the poor room.
