Stayed 2 nights

First impression was good as I pulled in. Quiet and safe, on a dead end road. The stairs were tall but manageable, and the porch was very nice. Unfortunately as we walked in the front door, there was an overwhelming stench of cat pee masked by perfume. We left the door and windows open to try and air it out, unsuccessfully. Having an allergy to cats, this was not ideal. The kitchen felt like camping indoors. Although I knew there was only a stove top to work with, it was a bit unorganized with all silverware kept in a plastic container under the sink. There was also no dish soap, and the sponge left for use was already used. The bathroom also did not have hand soap. The shower in the bathroom had the stench of previous users to it. I felt compelled to wash it down before using it. The water pressure for a shower was lacking but did the job. Water temperature was steady. There were plenty of towels, and it was decorated nicely. The shower was tiled and nice otherwise. The owners were a bit more personal than I would’ve preferred. Telling me about their health issues while I was bringing in groceries and children. And then again later in the evening hours wanting to chat as I was running out to my vehicle. Friendly, but I felt like I had to hide to avoid conversation. Positives were the environment was quiet and felt safe. Much better than any hotel. Apartment space was well decorated and felt cozy. Porch provided nice views.
