This is the second time we have stayed at Westgate Resorts in Myrtle Beach and have had a great time! The staff is very friendly and helpful! The property is well maintained! There is a lot for children to do to keep them occupied. The pools are clean and you are steps away from the beach and ocean. This resort is well worth checking out on your next visit to Myrtle Beach!

The weekend we booked there was no house keeping for some reason. Our toilet was broke the whole time even after they fixed it. Tv was in and out when we did watch it. Staff was really nice and friendly just wish I didn’t sleep in the same bedding the whole time and had a broom or something in the room to clean up the sand that came in with us. There was some type of private events that made those people seem more important than the ones that paid to stay there. Those people had access to breakfast while we had to walk down to the bistro for food or drinks and pay out of pocket.

This is a great property for families. It has direct access to the beach. Three pools, one just for kids and a hot tub. The on-site restaurant was really good I just wish the pool bar stayed open longer. The hotel is huge and very clean. My only complaint is they will not come clean your room due to all the sand you’ll track in without charging a fee. But they will provide you with a broom and dust pan for free. They also do not come in and change your bedding. I didn’t even ask since they were charging a fee to come and clean the room due to the sand. I figured that would be a fee as well. All in all I would def stay here again!

Nice clean facility in South Myrtle Beach. We enjoyed the view from our lovely Oceanfront room. Casual dining on site. Pool was great for off season but would be small for summer. Be aware they will offer timeshare presentation but this was not a condition of our stay. We like to walk and were able to find sufficient dining options within our ability to walk. Non-walkers will need to have car or use Uber.

The staff needs better training and needs to be able to share same information across the board. The property is old, hallways are smelly, room was old , bathroom door at the bottom had water damage it was warped, rusted hardware, dirty bed covers, and shames, tub rusted. If you are not stating there to take advantage of timeshare presentation or have a timeshare you can forget a nice room stay.

it was awful and horrible. The sheets was dirty.It had a lot of mold and mildew. The doors fell off the tub was super dirty. My sink and the tub will stopped up. I was supposed to be celebrating a birthday party for my sister. We were not pleased at all. I feel I spent too much money on this trip to not enjoy. Horrible

Westgate Myrtle Beach was a perfect pick for our vacation based on oceanfront location. We stayed 2 nights and everything was great, aside from our unswept room floor. Upon check in, after 6pm, we were told that housekeeping services was not performed daily but can be requested. Saturday morning we explained to hotel staff that our room needed to be swept and mopped. My sisters brand new pair of white socks were filthy after she took them off before bed on Friday night. Front desk staff apologized for the uncleanliness and stated that housekeeping would take care of it. After returning to the hotel Saturday evening, our room floor had not been swept or mopped. So we stayed another night walking around the room with dirt and crumbs all over the floor from the previous guest, apparently. It was extremely annoying hearing crumbled whatever under the bottom of my house shoes, especially knowing it came from previous guests. I tried not to let that disturb my stay but it did. As friendly and as the staff were, I don’t think I’ll stay at this property again because of the lack of care, concern and respect of my requests. We shouldn’t have had to stay 2 nights in the previous guests filth. That was extremely unsanitary. Please do better bc the next guest may not be as professional as I am.

Huge sand fiddler bit child in pool, got stuck in her hair. She is now traumatized and does not want to go in pool at all!! At least 3 inches long. Sheets in the pull-out bed were dirty. TVs could not get channels unless you had an app, and the guest services were closed until 08:00 am so no one to help. Paid almost 500.00 for one night of hell!!!!!

The sheets and blankets were wrinkled. Very poor quality blankets/comforters. The textured gave me allergies. Bed skirt was torn some places. Balcony chairs are good, but there should be at least one chair inside. Ocean front rooms especially people like me rent, so that we can sit in the balcony and enjoy the view and hear the shores, but your room AC outlet is right there, so instead of breeze we get the heat from the AC machine and instead of shores soothing sound we hear the mechanical sound from the AC machine. Quite disappointed. Tried to order from the elevator door advertisement, that was another disaster. I couldn’t reach them at all. Pool is great, Beach access and Ammusement park access is good, excellent staff. In short. Great staff, great location, but very low grade amenities.

for $370 per night, this was an ok deal. given we were going high season, assuming it will be cheaper in the autumn. staff were smiling, hard working and very responsive. bathroom fittings and water pressure were the only poor things.

I enjoyed my stay but I had a couple small problems I didn’t like the connecting doors or connecting rooms you can hear the people clearly in the next room and I’m sure they can hear me. I also think the shower pressure could be better and sink pressure could be better as well. The sink had 2 hots instead of 1 hot and cold (and was too hot to use).

Staff was amazing. I’ve been in the hotel industry for 20 years, and I tend to be critical in the visible and invisible signs of a good hotel and this property hit them all. The guy at check in (last name Miller) and the young lady I saw multiple times (carts on Sunday, concierge on Monday) were great. They even made remembered my dogs name and commented on my Costal Carolina gear. Hotel was clean and safe. My son loved the pools. Pet friendly was nice, although I wasn’t exactly sure where to take him. Overall this was a great hotel and I plan to return.

The person checking is in was horrible. He was rude and certainly didn’t do anything to help us know where our room is etc. he didn’t say anything about the property. The fact that you have to stand in TWO lines. One to check in and another to get a parking pass TERRIBLE MANAGEMENT IDEAS. I own several businesses and this is an awful idea. My husband is handicapped and there is no accommodations for him. He served this country for 30 years and we could not get a parking space close to the door. Could not even get help trying to find our room. The whole stay was terrible. We didn’t use any amenities because we had no idea what they were or how to get to them. The whole staff needs extensive training. Horrible experience.

The fact that you have to stand in TWO lines. One to check in and another to get a parking pass TERRIBLE MANAGEMENT IDEAS. I own several businesses and this is an awful idea. My husband is handicapped and there is no accommodations for him. He served this country for 30 years and we could not get a parking space close to the door. Could not even get help trying to find our room. The whole stay was terrible. We didn’t use any amenities because we had no idea what they were or how to get to them. The whole staff needs extensive training. Horrible experience.

The property is old, hallways are smelly, room was old , bathroom door at the bottom had water damage it was warped, rusted hardware, dirty bed covers, and shames, tub rusted. If you are not stating there to take advantage of timeshare presentation or have a timeshare you can forget a nice room stay.

Before it is started l ask to check later because our flight was flying out later and we had nothing left to do in Myrtle Beach. The hotel staff (the manager) at West Gate Oceanfront resort treated us horrible……….. Like we was low class. We wasn’t aware of a deposit “at the hotel” we paid the Resort fee like Reservation stated at the time of service the next day because we got in so late and was told to do that and come talk to the manager the next day about the deposit we wasn’t aware was need (we brought cash ONLY with no card on hand) left a message with staff we’d come talk to her before the day was up We didn’t have much time in Myrtle Beach, so we went on about our way until then when we got back to the room, we were locked out of our room where our belongings were. We are eventually allowed back in, but what a horrible experience for my child experience, thinking we were not gonna be able to get back into our room with our IDs, our belongings, thinking we were gonna be kicked out onto the streets. It was frightening and horrible. We will never be back!!!!!!!!!

Service was terrible. We arrived around 930pm and the front desk could not find our reservation. We showed them the confirmation number and proof of prepayment. The front person told us they were overbooked. We had reserved a room with two double beds. We waited 15 mins trying to figure out what to do. The front desk person said I will upgrade you to the timeshare rooms. It was a queen bed with couch. Two of my family members slept on the couch. The keys to the rooms annoyingly stopped working twice. The unit was not clean. The kitchenette area needs to be scrubbed and the bathroom sink had black mold all under the rim, and so did the tub near the jet openings. If it weren’t for the fact that it was late at night and we only needed accommodations for one night we would have left. I will never come back to this resort. They had the tackiest decor on the floors throughout property. It was really weird for a Westgate property to decorate in that fashion.

Our room was very clean. The location of the resort was very close to a lot of fun family activities and places. The resort was close to the Broadway at the Beach and the Myrtle Beach Boardwalk. Both of those places if using Uber or Lyft were under 10 minutes. Family Kingdom Amusement Park is right across the street from the resort. This resort has a game room, multiple pools, and restaurants onsite. The game room is a little outdated, so if you have young children they may or may not like the gaming area. This was a family trip and we absolutely loved the hotel for its convenience to local places and their onsite amenities. Our family will definitely come back to Myrtle Beach and stay at Westgate Myrtle Beach Oceanfront Resort again!

The hotel was really pretty and they decorated the entrance for Easter/Spring which was so nice for taking pictures! Staff was great and kind, and didnt look at us like we had 4 heads lol (we were literally the only hispanics there from airport to hotel and got quite a few stares) Only downside was when I got to my room, no tv remote, and no complimentary water! Later found the remote under the bed with some garbage/ads. Also popeyes ketchup packets on the balcony?

Absolutely loved this place. Clean, great amenities, and even beach chairs available for people to use on the beach. That is, when people don’t hoard them in their room overnight. This place has become my number one choice of places to stay while in Myrtle Beach. The only small downsides are the placement of the mirror in the main room, because it cant be used to get ready while someone else is in the shower. There was no outside light on the balcony, and the room we had, did have very bright lamps over the pool that stayed on overnight, so you couldn’t leave the blinds open. And a beautiful palm tree right in front of the balcony, however it blocked the sunrise view from the room. The balconies had gaps between them where you could see other people and they could see you, losing the privacy of sitting out there. It would have been nice to have a map of the hotel in the room, because until we just went walking around, we didn’t know there was a game room or where the bathrooms were located on the bottom floor. Biggest takeaway-CLEAN, & friendly staff.

Our stay was fine- nothing special. Our room had a musty smell to it, the conjoining room door didn't close all the way and you could see the light shining in around the door from in the hallway. Staff were either blah or avoidant except for those trying to sell ppl timeshares.
