The valet parking system leaves much to be desired. When we arrived we waited in the street because cars were parked in the drive-thru awaiting the valet to park them. We finally parked ourselves elsewhere. By the way, there was no mention of a parking charge on the Hotels.com website. The woman tending bar was very efficient and friendly and the salad was fresh.

I booked the property because it was convenient for the airport and had a pool, after a few weeks of travelling the down time was needed. The room itself was clean and the beds comfortable, except for the bathroom the furniture was very tired and did not feel like you were in a Hilton. Same with the pool area, it wasn't well maintained, the paint was peeling off in the pool and the area around the pool was dirty in places. Other furniture was tatty, faded and old. All of the windows were filthy. Breakfast was a fair cost, but still a little lacking, 3 hours into service I had to ask for the toaster to be brought out. It was just ok.

The hotel and room itself were all very nice and the staff was very professional and kind. However, upon arrival, there were so many cars parked in front of the hotel at 11pm at night where signage clearly states "no parking" that we could not pull through and were stuck out on the street, waiting, after having driven 6 hours to get there. I did not appreciate that there was no hotel parking lot. Self parking was metered parking and although it would've been free until Monday morning, it was quite limited and by 11pm at night, all the metered parking was taken, so I really had no choice but to spend $10 for the valet. Breakfast was also not included and was $16/person, which is quite outrageous. And, there was some sort of very loud dance club or party taking place what sounded like right outside our hotel window (and we were on the 8th floor!) that continued until 1am in the morning! It also sounded like there was drag racing taking place outside on the street in front of the hotel. Furthermore, in the morning when I needed to call the valet for my car, our hotel room telephone did not work! Overall, it was really not the best experience.

We were in town for an Art Walk. This hotel is in a FANTASTIC location. It's within walking distance to numerous shops and things to do. Our teens loved the cookies when we checked in. The room was clean and spacious, the pool was amazing. This will be our new home away from home when we are in Huntington WV.

I normally don't take the time to review my hotel stays but in this case we expected more for the price of the room. Room was not clean. I have stayed at hundreds of lower cost hotels that were cleaner. Shower door would not stay closed. To keep it closed I stuck an empty, folded soap box under the front coaster. Dresser door would not stay closed and you had to walk around it. In low light it is a safety issue. The window screen was half way falling out of the window sill and could hit someone on the street below if wind caught it. The room phone didn't work so we couldn't call the front desk. We had to go to the front desk to ask for our vehicle. The phone not working is a serious safety issue. I have experienced a hotel fire and without a phone it could be a deadly issue. The dirty room service dishes and trays sitting at the elevator on our floor when we checked were still there when we checked out the next day. For the money this hotel is a rip off.

The Thanksgiving Day our room wasnt cleaned and no breakfast was served besides pastries. The next day our room was poorly cleaned. Bed wasnt made well and we found tissue in the bed. The day we stayed that night our comforter had stains of food. We only slept under the sheet. The air system did not make the room comfortable. The air was dry which made it hard to sleep.

Bed was fine, breakfast was okay but there were no glasses and the coffee was terrible. Bathroom was not clean at all. Neighborhood also left something to be desired. Not your typical Hilton, don’t be fooled.

Unfortunately, this is the second time my bed was dirty. First time I thought it was a one off. I called the rectified it quickly so I didn’t leave a review but this time they were actually blood on the sheet pretty disgusting!

Overall things were fine but the room was pretty sun-par. Fridge was full of water, sheets & curtains had holes, carpet was stained, just generally less than stellar. The staff was lovely though, which is more valuable to me. Also the shampoo & conditioner they have made my hair insanely shiny??? Truly amazing

I don't think the air conditioning is working, it said it was 68 in our room and it's extremely warm. We decreased the temperature and it never got any cooler in our room.

Staff was nice! The room though was very outdated. The bed was hard and uncomfortable. Toilet didn’t flush right and sink wouldn’t drain unless you removed the drain which came right off. Also the shower didn’t get hot only warm.

Overall, the experience was pleasant. The walls were thin so you could hear those in the adjacent room. Also, the room was not cleaned by housekeeping after the first night (stayed two nights) and I ensured that the Do Not Disturb sign was not displayed.

The staff was great here. My room was pretty dated and a bit worn, and you could hear things happening outside. The surrounding area was fine, good eats and drinks. I'd stay again, mostly because of the staff.

Check in advertised at 3:00. Arrived at 4:00 and room wasnt ready. Employee took down my phone number and said he'd call when the room is ready. At 5:30 we walked back to the hotel to discover that the room was ready but no one had called.

The check in took literally 7 hours. Arrived at 4:30 and room was not ready. Waited 2 more hours and it was still not available. Multiple other guests had a similar issue. Finally was able to check in at 11:40PM after a concert I was in town for but received no communication from staff to notify if I was able to check in. Terrible experience and I plan to never stay at this hotel again.

Good location for me. Quiet in the room. I had a couple issues with the bathroom. The sink in my first room had the drain closed and I couldn't open it. The front desk moved me to another room. In that room the tub wouldn't drain! Maintenance came and fixed it. Not a big problem but weird that it happened twice. Housekeeping only came once to my room and I stayed three nights. I asked for something from housekeeping and was told there's no housekeeping staff after 3 pm. Again, not a big problem and I guess you have to staff properly for the number of guests you have, but it still seemed strange. On the plus side, the staff is extremely friendly, especially the servers in the breakfast room!

They only offer valet parking but street meter parking is available. There is one free/very slow EV charger at Marshall within walking distance but the best option is at the IBEW building across town - fast. We stayed here for a concert. The venue is about two blocks away. There are two cute boutiques near by and plenty of restaurants. Unfortunately, we were mugged on the way back from the concert for our hats by middle aged men and the consensus’s from the locals was “not surprising, it’s Huntington”. When we were looking for venues to see this artist, I would not have picked this place for a girls trip if I had known.

Bad area and heard cop sirens all night. Low water pressure and no hot water one morning. Shower was nasty and had to clean it myself. Someone knocked on our room door at midnight.

The room was clean, however the shower door refused to stay shut, and breakfast you have to pay for, $16.99 per person. For the cost of the room you would think that it would be included, however it was limited and costly. Not very family friendly.
