We had a one night stay at The Literary Man. It is in a great location. Staff was very nice and responsive. The breakfast was very nice, probably the best we had in Portugal! We did not take advantage of the bar, however, the bar/restaurant looked beautiful. The library feel flows throughout this hotel. Wish we had more time to enjoy it!

Staff were wonderful! Room was large, clean and inviting! Loved the hundreds of books throughout!

Stayed in a deluxe sweet first one only one TV worked second one the plumbing in both bathrooms sinks didn’t drain overnight was still filled with water in one bathroom the toilet seat was not attached and was three sizes too small also did not have toilet paper roll holders, and there was no towel racks. In both bathrooms I see these as basic necessities every room should have. Also, on hotels they state they have a spa. There is no spa on site or around the hotel.
