Charged more than advertised. Window open w/o screen in room at 11pm. Turned on room fan which smoked and set off fire alarms! Staff didn't speak just handed another key card. 2nd room unit didn't work. Pool closed permanently. Never again.

I was disappointed that the pool was permanently closed, and we were not told that until after we booked the room. The beds and pillows were very uncomfortable, and the toilet was messed up when you tried to flush. There was no juice or Danish at breakfast and no napkins, when I asked for napkins, the clerk brought out another box of Kleenex. The elevator sounded like it was going to croak at any given moment. But we loved the balcony.

I arrived to a chirping of the fire alarm in the lobby and a damp smell. I was disappointed to find no pool despite Expedia advertising one. I go to my room fire alarm chirping on my bed. Offered another room without detector in it chirping throughout the building! Needless to say this building is unsafe for hotel occupants major life safety violation.

The photos show a much more updated property than the rooms actually were. It was incredibly noisy late into the night. The gym was out of order. Not sure how dumbbells can be out of order.

There was some bug crawling on the wall and an ant in our bed. The staff said they keep up on exterminating, and that since it’s a pet friendly hotel, sometimes bugs come in with dogs. That would make sense, except the outside door we were right by led to the pool area. Not an area with grass for dogs to do their business. The toilet kept running every so often, you’d have to flick the toilet handle for it to stop. The phone didn’t work when we tried calling about something. At the breakfast, they had scrambled eggs, the other half was empty, no meat of any kind or even some kind of potatoes. I was very disappointed, since I looked on their website to see what type of breakfast they served when deciding where to stay. One of the weekend days, they had an extra display of some kind of chocolate pastry, cookies maybe. It was emptied, and the person never did refill it. I’m a chocolate lover, so that was disappointing. It should’ve just been removed and the space left empty like the days before.

This hotel needs a major makeover. It is not worth the amount that was charged. When we pulled up at 10pm there were several people right outside the front door smoking, so the lobby smelled like smoke. The room smelled clean upon entry, however after we were in the room for a bit, the smell of old cigarettes started to come through. The carpet in the hallway was not laid correctly. The windows were not in good condition and when we woke up we heard crickets in the room. The pool is permanently closed.

The advertisement for booking had beautiful pictures, well lit rooms, very clean and prestine. When we arrived, there was limited lighting indoors and outside, poor lighting in the parkinglot. There was mold on the shower head, sheets/ blankets had snags and runs. The floor didn't look like it had been vacuumed.

After getting settled into our room Friday night, we found pubic hair in the tub. Called the front desk and was told to let the front desk people know in the morning. Did that and was told the manager was out till Monday. Reminded the front desk when we checked out Sunday morning and was told the manager would call Monday and they were going to comp the room. Monday came and went, no call. Tuesday morning they took the full cost of the room from my bank account. I called Tuesday morning ands left s message for the manager. 2 hours later, no call yet. Also, pool is permanently closed. Need was ok and breakfast was good. Won't be staying here again.

This stay was good for wjat we needed, which was just a place to crash for a few hours on a long road trip with our dog. We arrived around 10pm or so and the person who checked us in was pleasant, and when asked what time breakfast opened, she told me 6am. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. The hallways were a bit rundown. The following morning we get up to grab breakfast and hit the road, load up the car and go in to grab breakfast at 6:10 and there was no staff to be seen and another customer had been waiting for a while. The staff came out of the office around 6:15 but with another customer waiting and set up for breakfast we couldn’t wait around to see when breakfast would be ready. That part was certainly disappointing but the stay was otherwise good for what we needed and what we paid.

While the bed looked nice it was very hard and uncomfortable. I guess I am used to a softer bed. The entire place was spotless but wore out and needs some care. For the price I would stay again just for the clean rooms.

Don't know. Was never checked in. Nobody at front desk for half an hour, so I left. 5 other groups of guests waiting to get checked in or with room issues. (Keys that didn't work and extremely cold rooms) Cannot really judge that for myself as I never got the opportunity to check in.

We were greeted by the most friendly Hostess last night, even though we were checking in a bit late. She was personable and efficient and checked us in while cinversing with us. The lobby was clean, well lit and welcoming. We were given our choice of rooms and ended up being placed in a quiet suite on the second floor. The room was warm, amenities were as described, and we spent a comfortable night.

I reserved through Hotels dot com. At the desk they could not find my reservation. I called Hotels and got a refund. Then the desk attendant booked us a room. But I got two separate charges on my VISA for one night. There are two phone numbers for the Wingate. One doesn’t work. The other is the cell phone of the manager. I talked to him once, he asked me to call back today. Now that phone number doesn’t answer either.

The hotel denied check-in, claiming the confirmation number my son provided was not on their list and that all rooms were sold out. When I called the front desk, I encountered the same issue and was advised to contact hotels.com. Despite my efforts to resolve the matter with them, the front desk simply placed them on hold. I strongly advise against booking through third-party services or staying at this hotel, as my son ended up securing another hotel at double the price.

In the morning the girl at the desk was also working the breakfast room. She was busy checking people out and trying to fill the breakfast items at the same time. The breakfast items were out at times and she was working as best she could. Short staffed made breakfast time hectic.

The Hostess checking us in was very friendly and efficient. She set the tone for our comfortable stay. We were informed there is someone at the front desk 24/7 for security and assistance, though we never had to use this information. There was a shuttle to the airport available. Breakfast was available at 6:30 and the coffee was hot.

Front desk lady refused to let anyone check in in early before football game despite having rooms ready. We tried to check in at 2:30 (3:00 pm check in) and got told absolutely not in a very rude way. Basically about 40 people just stood around to wait until 3 pm on the dot to line up and check in. They then proceeded to have 4 people behind the desk but only checkin 1 person at a time. With all the people in the lobby it took another hour to get checked in. Complete incompetent to not start the process earlier?? Even if rooms weren’t ready just have them wait until 3 to go to room. They also didn’t have breakfast in the morning despite saying there was claiming their refrigerator went out. Some of the worst customer service I have ever encountered with the 1 particular front desk lady being in a power trip and ruining the rest of our trip by delaying us 2 hours at the start for no reason at all. Will never return. Would rather sleep in my car. Spot was also fairly trashy.

When we came to check in, the computer system was down. The gal at the desk gave us a room then asked me to come back by later to sign the paperwork. We went up to the room and the door card worked - but the security bolt was fastened from the inside, which meant the door only opened about an inch. Nobody said anything from inside, but clearly we couldn't get in, so we went back to the front desk. The gal didn't seem to understand, but gave us a new room. We asked for one nearer the elevator, but she gave us one as far from the elevator as could be. We're both disabled, so that was frustrating. Later, I went to do laundry and after running my clothes through a dryer cycle, they were still wet. I ran them through a second cycle and opened it to find that the clothes were STILL wet. The dryer was blowing air but not tumbling. I went to let the front desk know that their dryer was broken, and the guy that was working then seemed too stupid to comprehend what was wrong. He also didn't offer to refund me the extra money I spent on the dryer. Breakfast was very barebones. Toast, cereal, yogurt, waffles. That's it. No protein (except the yogurt). Do yourself a favor and don't stay here. The room wasn't bad and the bed was fairly comfortable but until they get better employees, you'll be setting yourself up for frustration.

When we pulled up it was dark and there were no outside lights. No lights on the parking area or walking up to the front doors. At first we thought maybe it was closed It made me a little nervous. I worried about my car. If my husband was not with me I would have gone somewhere else. Everything else was fine.

Exactly what we were expecting. It's an older building but probably renovated. No complaints about service, room, or cleanliness. Breakfast was average for this class of restaurant. Convenient to Interstate, some restaurants in the area but 7 minutes drie to downtown restaurantville.

Lobby was 100° all the time, bed in our room was hard & uncomfortable, smoke alarms chirped in the hallways making me feel unsafe, breakfast eggs & sausage was cold less than an hour after breakfast starting & they were in a supposed warmer, the entire juice machine which had several different juices for breakfast was completely empty during the whole breakfast time.

Early checkins were not allowed so it was midnight when we did check in. The person at the desk was rude. The room was clean and looked nice but was musty smelling. We were told when we checked in there was breakfast in the morning but there was no breakfast. Very disappointing experience.
