We were pleasantly surprised as we drove into the property… it’s hidden away in one of, if not, the oldest neighborhood in Waynesville. It has an upscale camp feel. It wasn’t as up to date as I expected from the pics, but I think I read that they were going to do some remodeling. I expected a little nicer for the price, but some pay for the uniqueness I suppose. The king bed was too soft for me, but others might not mind. We only stayed one night. Be careful with the automatic lock on the door. Not sure how easy it would be to get locked out. They have some kind of unique system where you might want to have your phone handy entering and exiting. Overall, nice stay.

Great place to stay, beds were very comfortable, kitchen was great to have and was well stocked with the basics. Didn’t use the laundry but it was nice. Would stay again. Strange that there wasn’t a blind or curtain on the entry door, also we had one gentleman that was going to be a future guest, to walk in but it was completely an accident. We should have had the door locked.

We enjoyed the stay. The pictures of the listing were a little confusing. There is a picture of a large table in what looks like a common area where you might could get a coffee or go to sit and relax but I did not see such a place. Room was cozy and comfortable and the location was 3 minutes from downtown. We would stay again. One issue we had was the fee for our pet. I called and the person told me on the phone $66 for the pet fee. When I went to pay the pet fee it was $78. They need to get their communications straight.

There is no one on duty at the motel, as everything is handled by phone. Our check-in information was supposed to be sent 15 minutes before check-in, but we had to call to receive it. Communication was difficult due to a language barrier, but we eventually received the information and accessed our room. The room was small but cozy, comfortable, and clean, and the internet was fast. However, the walls were paper-thin. At midnight, we had to knock on the neighboring room’s door and ask them to turn down their TV. Our biggest concern was that if a serious issue had occurred, there was no staff on-site to assist us.
