The only disappointing thing was I asked for one bottle of water for my husband's cpap and was told I could purchase one from their market. We were staying at this hotel because my power was out due to the derecho in Portage.

Not impressed. We stayed three nights. Every night we had to go ask for towels for the pool, they were never restocked. The first day they came in and changed out trash and took dirty towels but didn’t bring clean towels or more toilet paper. The second day my son’s bedsheets needed to be changed. My husband tipped the housekeeper $5 and asked her to make the bed and all she did was give him clean sheets. She didn’t make the bed, take out trash, or take dirty towels. Nothing was done. Very disappointed for the price we paid.

You can't connect any console devices to the TV without turning off the main light. It cuts off power to the outlets needed to plug said devices into. Also the pool was closed down for two of the days. I bring my son just to take him swimming and that was missed opportunities for him.

Most things here were great. Staff was nice, everything was pretty clean, they offered a really nice breakfast, solid stuff. I can only really say 2 bad things about it. One was that there were some stains in the room when we got in there, looks to have been either dirt or mud that they couldn't get out. Not a huge deal. The other one being when I asked where to fill up a bottle of water, they pointed me to the gym room in the basement. This hotel is located next to the Dunes in Inidana, a hiking and national park destination. Maybe the tap water was safe to drink, but that's always kinda iffy, meaning whenever you want to get water you have to trek downstairs to a random room to get some. It's not the worst thing ever, and luckily I brought some extra water bottles, but this could have and should have been better thought out.

I am extremely disappointed with our stay. The cleanliness of the room did not meet the standards I have come to expect with this hotel branch, which was frustrating from the moment we arrived. What was even more upsetting, however, was the way our concerns were handled. A personal item went missing from our room after housekeeping had been in. I reported it to the front desk immediately, expecting at least some concern or an attempt to investigate the situation. Instead, I felt dismissed. There was little communication, no follow-up, and no effort to help locate the missing item or explain what steps would be taken. I understand that hotels cannot always be responsible for every lost item, but customer service matters. A little empathy, communication, and willingness to investigate would have gone a long way. As someone who has stayed with this hotel brand many times, this experience was very disappointing and not representative of the level of service I have come to expect. I hope management takes these concerns seriously and works to improve both housekeeping standards and the way guest concerns are handled in the future.
