We enjoyed a wonderful 2-week stay at this gite situated in a quiet part of St Antoine next to L'Isle sur la Sorgue. Spacious and comfortable gite but a short drive or 45 minute walk to town. Fantastic pool shared with the owners. The owners were very friendly and welcoming but also respectful of our privacy. Great location for exploring Provence. Would definitely stay there again

Ines and Miguel are very pleasant but my French is limited so there wasn't much communication. The basics are all there but quite minimal. Seating is not comfortable because the couch and chair are old and worn. The house is surrounded by overhanging trees and because of the wet weather, mosquitoes were a big problem so we couldn't sit or eat outside. But it is very quiet and there is lots of birdsong. We had a massive thunderstorm which flooded the drive but the stench of the sewage was completely overwhelming for 24 hours afterwards coming up through the drain in the sink and shower. Ines and Miguel were sympathetic but said there was nothing could be done other than to use toilet freshener. It was so terrible we considered going to a hotel. The pool was very clean and we enjoyed the swimming. The house is a 15 min walk from the nearest cafe and boulangerie if you don't want to drive but it is much further into L'Isle Sur La Sorgue. On the fridge there is a cleaning price list in French - which wasn't brought to our attention when we arrived. As we brought our own bedding etc. and were cleaning up before we vacated, we were surprised to be asked only minutes before we left, for 60 euros for a non-negotiable cleaning fee. If we had known this in advance, I would not have spent my time cleaning up so at that point I stopped and left it as it was - and we would not have had to scrabble to get together enough euros. In future, please tell guests in advance.
