La Quinta by Wyndham Covington

Overall it was a great stay. The only negative was the outdoor pool, there were large spiders and debris in the pool.

Disappointed the pool was closed. Also communicated via Travelocity that I needed 6 extra pillows due to knee surgery. They said they never agreed to it and protested, finally giving me only 2 pillows. Breakfast was weak, almost nothing and fruit was old oranges. Coffee was old/bitter. Exercise equipment was rusted. Talked to manager who didn't seem to care about concerns.

This hotel is always a pleasure to stay at. New, clean & quiet. Super convenient to all the shopping, Emory Oxford campus and Covington Square. Breakfast is not top shelf, but it’s warm and not bad at all. We’ve stayed there half a dozen times and have yet to see the pool open, but that’s not why we go to Covington. Wonderful hotel! A++

There was nothing saying the pool would not be open when I booked. Also room service never came to clean my room the 3 nights I was there

The only thing that was wrong about stay was the pool was not open. Nobody told us. We were expecting to swim.

The check-in gentleman was very kind and polite. The grounds are nicely landscaped and clean. Your security is a high priority as there are many, many cameras that are being watched by the gentleman at the front desk.

Building was under some sort of water damage which should have been disclosed. There was a massive leak to the degree it was pouring through the elevator shaft. Very unnerving being the rooms not wet where up stairs.

Everything was decent. Pretty nice weekend stay. Sucks that the pool wasn’t open yet with 90 degree weather. Only negative would be the curtains in the room are not black out at all and the sun woke me up at 7 every morning.

Had little snack area, nice breakfast bar no juice that was not good. Pool area one way in had outside gate locked. Very nice area outside chairs and tables picnic tables shaded BUT one way in from the front of hotel most people didn’t know it was there.

Room was in a convenient location. The website did not specify what dates the pool would be open so the pen was closed, which unfortunately we stayed there for the pool. There was not a big food selection for breakfast.

This is one of the cleanest hotels we’ve stayed in and the people are very friendly and helpful

Hotel appeared on website to be reasonable (as most appear to be!) however, the hotel was not in a very good condition. Carpets in the hallways were disgusting, all marked/stained and dirty. Wont stay again

Bedbugs in our room

My room was unacceptable in cleanliness. I was given cleaning supplies because it was late and there was no one there to clean it. The tub and one of the beds had hair in them. Not a little. I will say that the next morning the manager sent up, a cleaning lady who did a wonderful job and put new sheets on the bed. This is the second La Quinta. I’ve stayed in in the area and neither stay has been satisfactory. Apparently no concern about guest experience. If the Holiday Inn express wasn’t booked up, I wouldn’t have stayed here, but the Expedia reviews said very good. I must’ve put in a wrong address?

Room was spacious, very clean and quiet. The staff was super friendly and always welcoming you. Thank you for a great stay!

My husband got bed bugs bite all over him, this is the third time we stayed there but first time we hace bed bugs problem

Room was not clean. Shower curtain had makeup on it. Mold in the bathroom. Dust everywhere, dirt on the walls, etc.

We were very impressed with this La Quinta. The staff was kind; everything was neat and clean; and parking convenient. We would stay again.

Initially I was very happy with this hotel because all of the basics check off just fine. My disappointment came when I went to bed at 10:30pm and realized how noisy my room was. I was on the 4th floor so thank goodness no footsteps above because it was bad enough that my neighbors and people walking on the corridor sounded like a heard of elephants. Voices also sounded amplified. The worst part was the noise of the cars, trucks, 18 wheelers, and occasional fast and the furious on the adjacent highway. This was an all night thing. And to take the cake, at around 10:30ish the train came through blasting its horn! So bring ear plugs and you should be fine!

2 night stay; parking easy; staff friendly; room clean and comfortable but STREET NOISE AWFUL; BREAKFAST TERRIBLE, limited selection, eggs & meat not edible; it's winter so no pool or eco evaluation.

It was a good place to stay. The only set back was that my room did not have hot water when using the shower. I complained but nothing really happened until my last night. That’s when they switched my room.

Renovations made the hotel look better. Room was clean. But the AC made a horrible sound at 3am and woke everyone up.

Walls are thin, as in you can hear everyone above, beside, and below you.

Parking was easy. Room was placed right next to the entrance and front desk so we heard people arguing at 2am. Other than that it was a nice stay.

I didn’t stay here longer than 2 hours because I didn’t feel safe. Room was hot and inside the fridge was hotter. I have medication that needs refrigerated so the fridge not working was an issue. Room was decent and clean, but pillows felt like they were made of rocks. Room was decent but location felt unsafe. After I left I noticed a piece missing from my window/door frame like someone tried to break into it.

After driving over 12 hours that day, we quickly checked in at 9 o’clock at the front desk and then went to eat. He arrived back at 10:30 and that’s when we went into our room for the first time. The room we booked smelled like sewage. Since we had 6 of us, they did not have another suite available. We asked if there was availability for other rooms in the hotel. There was no manager on duty, but we asked if we could be moved into two other rooms that didn’t smell like sewage. After the person on duty contacted the general manager, we were told we would not be able to do that unless we paid more for the rooms. It was 11 o’clock at night; by this time and nobody was renting those rooms that night and I said as much. However, they refused to move us unless we paid the additional amount. I refuse to pay them anymore money. The manager was also not there the next morning when we left. I did leave a note. I was not contacted back by phone, but I did get a $50 credit. The person on duty was very nice, but he had no authority. Overall, customer service was not a priority for this property. I would never return.

The manager named Nick was very accommodating for me and my family, I even booked an additional night because of how great the customer service was.

I booked this hotel for a one night stay for 4 guests which was listed when I booked. We only had 3 towels for showers. Asked the front desk for more and they told us they didn't have anymore that we would have to come back early in the morning. Went back this morning and they still did not have any towels but offered us more hand towels to dry off with. Front desk was very rude about the situation. I did not expect to spend close to $300 and not even have the necessities to shower.

Staff were super nice check in and check out. They answered the phone when we were running late. The site was clean inside and out. Hallways smell fresh, elevator was clean. The room was comfortable and clean. We enjoyed our stay which made the visit with family wonderful.

The manager is rude and hostile. The hotel is dirty and loud. Worst place ever. The day manager should be fired. He was so incredibly awful. Will NEVER stay again.

It was a fine stay but the gentleman at the front desk accidentally assigned us to a room already occupied. Fortunately, those guests were not in the room when when we entered. The gentleman at the front desk quickly fixed the assignment and got us the room we reserved. It was odd that the room had a window looking into the inside of the hotel but was otherwise an nice room, if a bit dingy.

They stay was fine check in was easy. Breakfast was ok but the attendant was rude and told us we could only take 1 meat because it was 30 mins before breakfast was over and she wants cooking any more so meat and biscuits ran out. I didn’t know it was a limit. 15 mins before breakfast was over she started removing items from breakfast as people were still trying to fix food. It was one waffle maker so there was a line you had to wait in. Check was at 11:00 we were gathering our things to walk out when we were met at the door by staff who stood and waited beside us and it was only 11:05. We forgot an items as we’re walking out so I went back in to get it he moved over towards the door and stood there as Me and my family was walking out.

Housekeeping was super helpful and friendly

I really enjoyed my stay at La Quinta Covington. It was about a 6 minute drive from the square so it was very convenient especially since we had a car. There was more than enough space for parking and it was free so that’s always a plus. The building and room itself was clean and updated. We had more than enough room and the beds were so comfy.

Average hotel. Rate for quality is not good. Overpriced hotel. No restaurant. Can hear people in the next room. Not within walking distance to anything.

Great location

Nice place! Comfortable and convenient to the highway.

Went to see mystic falls. This property is close. I was told this is one of the properties everyone suggests that VD groupies stay at for safety reasons. We had no issues.

The hotel was convenient to get on/off the highway and a quick 5 minute drive to downtown Covington, as well as places to eat, gas, etc.

Very helpful due to our late check in and check out. Easy to find and close to the vampire diaries attraction. Comfortable beds. Met our needs to stay overnight.

It was not so great experience. The front desk is not very friendly. I don’t see their smiles and their English is hard to understand. The breakfast is really bad. I know I should have very low expectations, but feel like the food is so stale.

A great place to stay. My only complaint was our breakfast at 6:15 am before checkout. The food we chose ( stale biscuits, cold sausage gravy) was a little disappointing. Outside that everything else was solid and would stay here again .

Gym was excellent for a hotel. However there was a very persistent smell of marijuana wherever you seemed to go in the hotel. It was a little off putting. The breakfast was also pretty abysmal.
