Suites nice size, but room was really dirty!!!! Cabinets with gross food, fridge, microwave, sink dirty my feet were black from walking around room. Constant smell of mildew in room and front office. Black mold covered shower curtain had to spray with bleach to even shower. Manager told me to go to office and make a work report cause I could get service when others were waiting. Many room doors open and unsafe. Stayed 3 day one of which lights went out and the next day the water. This place is trash!!!!!!!!!

The price was fair and the place was quiet but there was a few things I wasn't pleased with the major issue was I found a roach in my room which was totally disgusting. I took a picture of it I also thought the water pressure in the shower was terrible and there was no remote to the TV.

This hotel is in serious disrepair (broken concrete, some rooms not habitable, and the site as a whole is dirty and unkempt. Staff that I saw were nice enough, but what they have to work with is limited. We were first given a room that was in terrible condition so we had to request a different room. The second room was clean but clearly worse for the wear. A positive is that the AC/H system worked and we slept well. I will not go there again.

When we arrived, we had a quarter of a roll of toilet paper and told we could not have more. There was none to be. Had. I asked several times for clean towels never ever got them are key did not work several times twice we had to be let in by the guy that worked place smelled terrible old nasty smoke. so badly that it burned my eyes the whole time I was there We weren’t guest that we’re going to live there. We were guest that we were there for five days in town for a wedding. I will never ever come back to that place again. You also say you have a kitchenette we kind of thought we would get a coffee pot and some coffee cups and maybe complementary coffee. There was not a single glass spoon cup or fork in that place, I am very disgusted and I will never To return, I will be putting this throughout the Internet and to all of my friends I know my next trip to Georgia will not be spent with you

We left after seeing our room. The elevator smelled like someone pred in it, there was garbage all around the walkway gling twords our room. Once we got to the room the smell was so horrible i couldn't hardly breath. There was holes in all the walls, some patched some not. There was also a space heater plugged in that was missing two legs so im assuming heat was not working in the room. Carpets and bed were stained. So disappointed.

Only stayed because of price. It really should be advertised as hotel. Only stayed because in budget. There were roaches. The laundry area doesn’t work. The long term residents that stay there are not clean. I can tell the staff does the best that it can. Owner needs to address cleanliness. Cheap flooring in rooms

I tried very hard to make the best of this hotel but unfortunately I would not recommend and we left before staying overnight. There were quite a few bugs crawling on the walls, burn holes in the comforter on the bed, the kitchen area was not clean including the burners and the inside/outside of the fridge. Not to mention check-in was 3:00 but we couldn’t get into our room until 5:00…because they were cleaning it? The toilet paper was wet on the side with a lot of discoloration which we were told was the “die from the packaging”(but why was it ok to offer TP wet in the first place?) Our non-smoking room also smelled very much like smoke. The gentleman at the desk was kind but this establishment could use lots of cleaning and insect treatments before being offered to travelers.

I booked a room here on our way down to Florida yesterday because my daughter and friend wanted to see the town. I don’t even know what to say about the hotel. It is by far the filthiest hotel I have ever stayed at. The bathroom is figuring and has filth and what appears to be mold on the walls, the fridge is dirty, the floor is dirty, the room smells horrible and the safety arm on door is broken off and I could barely get the deadbolt locked. I would like a full refund-

Horrible. There were roaches, dirty sheets, bad odor, no toliet paper, no shower curtain, and once we got the shower curtain the bathroom flooded. The after hours person came in smelling like weed and was no help. Had to leave and change hotels. Was supposed to be there for 3 days, only stayed one. Manager refuses to refund me the money, only one day. Rude manager. Never again.

We found multiple roaches, beds didn’t have clean linens. When a worker came, she admitted they were infested with roaches!!! We had to find another hotel last minute, and they’re making it difficult to get a refund.

The room smells like cigarettes... the area around the hotel its horrible and the have construction right on front of the building and you can't sleep with the noise ... we will definitely come back to covington because we love it but we will definitely stay in another hotel ...

This place should not be offered as a place to stay from hotels.com… the area did not look to great, it’s more of an apartment complex instead of a hotel, and not to mention the room was disgusting…. Not to mention the fact that our air conditioner unit had been RIPPED OUT OF THE WALL and there was a giant hole to the outside. It was like no one checked the room before letting us check in. We had to scramble to find a new hotel during a convention weekend. We managed to find one but had to pay double because of the the last minute booking. I should honestly be reimbursed for the new hotel simply from the inconvenience. Does hotels.com even inspect these places???

The closet door handle came off in my hand, the kitchen cabinets were hanging on with only one hinge, there no toilet paper in room, no phone to call service desk, and the room had a very strong smell of bleach.

Reserved a king bed. When we arrived my husband sat and sunk into the bed. We thought it was just one side was softer than the other. Well, when I looked underneath the bed, the king mattress was on a queen bed frame. As you can imagine part of the mattress was not supposed. The bathroom door was not on the top hinges. Pictures below.

After landing, I went directly to this establshment, arriving at 9:15pm. The office was closed for the day! I have never heard of a chain that closes at 7pm. Needless to say, I paid for a room I never stayed in. And I could never get anyone on the phone to get reimbursed.

The front office closes at 7 and is closed on the weekends. They give you a number to call for after hours and some random guy answers with just “hello? Who’s this?” We got in late after a 7 hour drive and they couldn’t find my reservation. I had to go someplace else because the guy said there was nothing he could do. No. Just no.

I booked a room at this facility recently and paid through Expedia.com. When I arrived later about 10:00 pm that night, there was no manager or staff present just a phone number. I called the number the man answered saying that if I booked after 6pm it had to be for the next day. There’s no night manager or key left. I explained I need a refund. He told to contact Expedia and that this happens often. I contacted Expedia and explained the situation to the online virtual assistants. I received an email saying They “were unable to contact management at Hometowne Studios by Red Roof Inn in Covington, Georgia. So my refund was denied.” Not only am I disgusted. Trying to find another hotel room at night after driving for hours to get there only to find out I can’t get the room I paid for. I’m profoundly disappointed! They should note on their website that if you book the room after 6pm, reservation must be for next day, but not the same day due to no one being there. So buyers ware!

This reservation was made to visit with a friend who was attending the same rabbit show that I was attending. At the last moment, I had a medical emergency that prevented my attendance, but my friend was still going. When she showed up to check in, a black man wearing a mask was very rude to her and wouldn't allow her to check in. No call was made to the number on file. No message was sent to me (since I made the reservation). But my friend was treated so badly that she had to find a room elsewhere. I was embarrassed and angry to learn that she had been treated so poorly. I'm not just angry and embarrassed, but I'm absolutely shocked to have a hotel chain that I frequently use disappoint me so terribly. I was charged for a room that no one even got to utilize. I sincerely hope that charge for one night was worth destroying a customer relationship. I will never darken the doorstep of a Red Roof hotel again. Disgraceful.

The staff at reception; they couldnt do enough for us. We did have an issue with the cleaner, that did not get resolved, hence the missing star. The room was a standard room, not the ritz, but you get what you pay for. It suited our budget and we would definitely go back...purely because of how friendly the staff and other occupants were. Just be prepared not to expect daily housekeeping...this is supposed to happen once per week. However, we did not receive this despite being on the rota. The person on shift to clean our room did enter our room...but it wasnt cleaning that they did. Moving swiftly on...we had a great time. But for those that drive, I suggest hiring a car, as you cant get anywhere on foot from here. We survived on the use of Lyft...which isnt too expensive but it does add up. We wished we had hired a car for convenience. Overall, we had a pleasant stay here. So if you're looking for something on a very tight budget, this would work for you.
