Alexander, was the best hotel stay we had on our holiday travels in Italy. The building, room & breakfast facilities were well maintained, clean & fresh. We were expecting laundry facilities (listed on the Expedia information page) however on enquiry at reception, there were none. Situated on the mainland, away from the hustle of the Venice Islands, the hotel is nice & quiet, there are some good restaurants within walking distance, & it is well placed for easy access to the tram network & buses onto the main island - once you figure that out - reception wasn’t too helpful with this aspect, but perhaps we were hindered a little by our lack of Italian language. We requested a photocopy of the online transport booking we’d made (not knowing we’d need a print out until after completing transaction) & the staff said no. The woman told us to use the bus service nearby, to the island (“No one has ever checked her for tickets”) & to obtain a printout at the information centre. Low & behold, we were asked to show tickets on the bus & almost received hefty fines, however thankfully, the warden took pity & allowed us to complete the journey after sighting our online purchase on the phone. Other than that frustrating & time consuming experience, the stay at the Alexander hotel itself, was lovely.

Wir waren zu Zweit zwei Nächte und sind sehr zufrieden. Das Frühstück war lecker und vierfälltig, für jeden etwas dabei. Es gibe den Parkplatz draussen und ist kostenlos und mit dem Licht und derVideoüberwachung. Wer die Garage braucht, es kostet 15eu pro Nacht. Das Zimmer war sauber, ruhig, das Badezimmer perfekt. Das Personal ist grossartig. Die Tram/Busshaltestelle ist ca 2min vom Hotel, dann ist Venezia mit dem Tram oder Bus 20min erreichbar.Wir kommen gern wieder.

Staff were helpful and spoke good English. Room was clean but felt outdated and basic. The room was mostly bare -- no coffee/tea/kettle, no tissue box and no iron for ironing clothes. Just a TV and chair. I had to ask downstairs and instead of being given one to take to my room, I was directed to a side room to do my ironing.

The hotel was fine, just few minutes walk to the bus and trams, staff very helpful, breakfast was alright, the only thing i need was kettle in the room and the heating regulator was not working but we just didn’t specify as big problems because we’re busy going out to Venice.

L'ensemble est bien ,c'est la deuxième fois que j'ai logee dans cette hotel , pas loin de forte marghera shopping,arrêts de bus et de tram pour se rentre à venise 4 arrêts de tram. Le petit dejeuner tres bon beaucoup de choix plats froid et chaud ,fruit panacotta ect... La salle de bain est grande et prope ,c'est dommage qu'il y 'a pas de bouloir dans la chambre 🤔

Die Unterkunft ist in kurzer Entfernung in die Altstadt von Venedig. Man kommt mit der Straßenbahn in 15 Minuten in die Altstadt. Zu Fuß braucht man zur Straßenbahn 3 Minuten. Vor dem Hotel stehen an der Straße ca. 5-6 kostenlose Parkplätze zur Verfügung. Das hotel selbst ist sauber und gepflegt. Für eine Tagestrip nach Venedig perfekt.

Recently stayed at this hotel to visit Venice. Not only was it very conveniently located next to a tram stop only 15 minutes from Venice. The hotel staff was extremely helpful and welcoming. The room was perfect. Everything we needed, up to date, and very clean. Highly recommend to stay here for your trip to Venice.

I miei commenti sono in parte positivi ed in parte negativi. Positivi: posizione strategica (la fermata del tram/bus x Venezia è raggiungibile in pochi minuti a piedi), buona colazione, personale molto gentile. Negativi: scarsissima insonorizzazione delle camere, dimenticanza di mettere biancheria da bagno di ricambio, lavandino otturato, set di cortesia scarno (una bustina minidose di shampoo-doccia a testa) pulizia non proprio ottimale (sotto il letto c’era di tutto), di notte mi è venuta sete ed il frigobar era completamente vuoto. Insomma, non lo reputo un 4 stelle pieno, ci sono parecchie cose da migliorare a mio avviso. Nel complesso comunque il soggiorno è stato piacevole.

La chambre était moderne, grande, propre et bien entretenue. La salle de bain aussi était spacieuse et avait tous les articles nécessaires à notre disposition. Le wifi fonctionnait bien. Le déjeuner était bon et il y avait beaucoup de choix. L’emplacement de l’hôtel est stratégique pour se rendre à Venise en 10 à 20 minutes, avec des stations de bus et de tram à quelques minutes de marche seulement. Les seuls points négatifs sont l’air climatisé qui ne fonctionnait pas et la douche qui coulait sur le plancher de la salle de bain.
La chambre était moderne, grande, propre et bien entretenue. La salle de bain aussi était spacieuse et avait tous les articles nécessaires à notre disposition. Le wifi fonctionnait bien. Le déjeuner était bon et il y avait beaucoup de choix. The staff was very friendly, transportation to Venice was super easy. The breakfast was included and it was fine. The room was okay, standard for a 3 star hotel. It was clean. The bed was thin, pillows were also thin. Again, standard… what we expected for the price. What we didn’t expect was hearing the people next door getting it on at 3 am as if they were in our room. The walls are paper thin! It was disgusting to be woken up to moaning at 3 in the morning. They need to soundproof the rooms.

Lovely room, very spacious and extremely clean. Shower powerful and very hot water. Breakfast very good, lots of choices with exceptional pastries. Staff friendly and helpful when asked. Very convenient location to local transports and to Venezia. Great residential area, felt safe.

The rooms seemed to have been redone. They had multiple different charging outlets. The bathrooms looked updated and were very clean! We wanted to stay in Venice but it was too expensive. The Alexander Hotel was so convent, the tram was a 3 minute walk away and it took you right into Venice. Very easy and convenient! The hotel was also in walking distance of a grocery store, gelato place, a bakery and restaurants. The staff at the front desk were so nice and very helpful! We enjoyed our stay and if we are ever back in the area we will stay there again!

Lovely hotel to stay in! Not too far to the city centre or airport by public transport. Staff were prompt with replying to my email on the day of our arrival and storing our luggage on departure. Only complaints are I wish that there were instructions to control the air conditioning unit as I did wake up with a bit of a cold, the eggs at breakfast were oily and there was a little bit of rubbish left in our room. Lovely hotel to stay in! Not too far to the city centre or airport by public transport. Staff were prompt with replying to my email on the day of our arrival and storing our luggage on departure. Only complaints are I wish that there were instructions to control the air conditioning unit as I did wake up with a bit of a cold, the eggs at breakfast were oily and there was a little bit of rubbish left in our room. Other than that it’s a good hotel

We did not stay at this property for the view, it was it's proximity to the airport. The location was very quiet, the staff was welcoming, the room was clean, the beds were comfortable. I would book here again without hesitation. Alexander was very close to the tram which takes you directly into Venice (about 10 minutes) and very simple to take. Staff was helpful with directions and offered choices on Mestre for dinner which could be walked to. The breakfast was included and catered to all tastes with plenty of seating.

We arrived there at midnight and the receptionist didn't stop laughing during our check in, it seemed like he was a little drunk, so it wasn't the best of welcomes. Other than that everything was totally fine, room was comfy, breakfast was great, with good coffee and pleasant service. Getting from there to center Venice was easy, just took the tram from the nearest station.

Hotel is about a 30-40 minute walk from Venice Mestre station. Can be enjoyable if the weather permits. Not much around the hotel as far as places to eat. But if you are looking to stay in Venice without the crowds or prices of Venice, this could be for you. Our group had no problem walking to and from the station, the hotel did order a taxi for us for an early morning departure. The area around the hotel is very quiet.

This is a terrific hotel for anyone who needs to grab a flight out of Marco Polo. It is 10 minutes away from the airport and the staff is happy to organize your transportation. There are several good restaurants within easy walking distance and the hotel is very clean and very comfortable. Highly rated for this purpose.

The rooms seemed to have been redone. They had multiple different charging outlets. The bathrooms looked updated and were very clean! We wanted to stay in Venice but it was too expensive. The Alexander Hotel was so convent, the tram was a 3 minute walk away and it took you right into Venice. Very easy and convenient! The hotel was also in walking distance of a grocery store, gelato place, a bakery and restaurants. The staff at the front desk were so nice and very helpful! We enjoyed our stay and if we are ever back in the area we will stay there again!

La chambre était moderne, grande, propre et bien entretenue. La salle de bain aussi était spacieuse et avait tous les articles nécessaires à notre disposition. Le wifi fonctionnait bien. Le déjeuner était bon et il y avait beaucoup de choix. L’emplacement de l’hôtel est stratégique pour se rendre à Venise en 10 à 20 minutes, avec des stations de bus et de tram à quelques minutes de marche seulement. Les seuls points négatifs sont l’air climatisé qui ne fonctionnait pas et la douche qui coulait sur le plancher de la salle de bain.

L'ensemble est bien ,c'est la deuxième fois que j'ai logee dans cette hotel , pas loin de forte marghera shopping,arrêts de bus et de tram pour se rentre à venise 4 arrêts de tram. Le petit dejeuner tres bon beaucoup de choix plats froid et chaud ,fruit panacotta ect... La salle de bain est grande et prope ,c'est dommage qu'il y 'a pas de bouloir dans la chambre 🤔

AC was set up to be hot. And we couldn’t get it to work on a lower temperature 🤒. So we had to open the balcony so cool air could get in. Also the water in the shower would be hot one second cold the next 😭.
