The check in was a breeze. Most friendly and helpful staff. Very convenient secure parking right next to the hotel. Everything was great, except for the breakfast service and noise. The quality of hot food was poor, as was the fresh fruit and fruit juice. There were a couple tour groups who were loud and boorish. Pretty noisy night too with constant banging of doors. Not the fault of the hotel…

Stayed here for one night on the way to the UK from southern Spain. Hotel easy to locate and great covered car parking to the side of the hotel. Our room was clean, slightly small but adequate for one night stay. We had lunch at the pool bar, nice and reasonable. The hotel is conveniently located and within walking distance to the tourist attractions such as the amphitheatre, cafes and bars. The breakfast was disappointing. The only 'hot' options was bacon and scrambled egg and these were cold. The pastries and cakes were hard. Unfortunately the coffee machine wasn't working for black coffee.

Buena experiencia parecida al año anterior, por incidencias meteorológicas no hemos disfrutado casi de la piscina...hacia un viento abrasador. En general bien ..seguramente si el cuerpo y circunstancias me lo permiten volveré. Gracias a todos los trabajadores..(que por cierto) estaban muy saturados los camareros que atendían en hora de comer. Gracias a la dirección del hotel por la mejora de la instalación del gastrobar.

Great location, easy walk to all of the Roman building and ruins. Hotel is very good value for its very reasonable prices. Good parking and WiFi. For EV drivers, charging is available across the street.

El hotel tiene buena ubicación para ir caminando a lugares turisticos. Luce limpio pero los pasillos huelen mal, como a humedad. Lo peor para nosotros fue la comida, es exageradamente mala, solo había dos meseros y un cocinero por lo cual el servicio era muy lento. Al llegar los alimentos estaban frios y mal hechos, una pizza con masa humeda y deshecha, una hamburguesa que parecia que solo juntaron los ingredientes y asi nos los dieron si pasarlos por una parrilla, la calidad y sabor de los ingredientes muy malo. No regresaria.

A cama é confortável, e o quarto limpo, mas o carpete do hotel tem um cheiro de velho, como se estivesse com umidade. A banheira é um risco contra a vida, pois você tem que entrar nela para tomar banho de chuveiro e você entra pelo lado arredondado, e tem um vidro ao lado que se mexe, com risco altíssimo de um tombo grave. Foi uma estadia ok, mas com certeza eu não voltaria ao hotel. O estacionamento fica ao lado do hotel, fácil de achar. Não tomei café da manhã, então não posso opinar. Fica bem perto dos pontos turísticos, é possível fazer tudo a pé.

This was an overnight stay while traveling. The hotel was beautifully clean. Receptionist was very welcoming and helpful. 10 minute walk to the old town. We didn't eat at the hotel. Recommended.

Tbe check-in was quick and fast and the staff friendly and helpful. The room was very clean as well. Lines on the floor marked where one should walk and facemasks were obligatory. So they certainly take Covid seriously!

Desde de nuestra experiencia bastante mal,nos dieron una habitación pegada a los ascensores,el ruido era insoportable,bajamos a recepción a ver si era posible cambiarnos de habitación y nos cambiaron sin ningún problema,las camas son malísimas desde el colchón hasta las almohadas que son papel de fumar, la bañera de la habitación está metida entre dos paredes y solo tienes una esquina para acceder al ya estar mojada de la ducha anterior según pones el pie te escurres, para pasar una noche sin descansar y sin ducharte es tu hotel, la ubicación está muy bien y hay aparcamiento fuera de las instalaciones sin problema

Es un hotel muy ruidoso de puertas, duchas, armarios, el hablar de clientes a las horas de descanso. La acústica es muy mala tanto en los pasillos como en la cafetería. Las duchas resbalan y resultan altas para las personas mayores. Nunca recomendaría este hotel. No hemos descansado en ninguno de nuestros dos días de estancia.

What an outstanding experience, typical in Spain. The cafeteria lady attendant is extremely efficient and friendly- made our day! I strongly recommend this wonderful hotel!

Mi experiencia ha sido nefasta desde el momento que dejé olvidados mis AirPods y nadie en el hotel ha sido capaz de darme una solución. Llamé al menos 5 veces a recepción tras mi viaje y siempre me dijeron que lo iban a mirar y me devolvían la llamada. Nunca me la devolvieron. Esta falta de seriedad hace que mi experiencia en el hotel haya sido deficiente y que, para futuras ocasiones, mis reservan se hagan en otros hoteles de Merida.

We needed a hotel for three adult family members with parking for one night, conveniently located near Mérida’s old town, and Hotel Velada met our needs perfectly. The hotel’s location was a big advantage, within walking distance of a covered public swimming pool as well as the Roman amphitheater and theater. stayed one night on the way to the other destination, it was a big hotel with plenty of rooms. This is for me a typical hotel that was built in 1990 or before where targeting big group of tourists. Room was nice. The Bathroom has a bathtub. Breakfast was so so, (quality of jamón and zumo were not great, given this is the city famous for jamon.) good part was that, the staff was super nice to help me get what i needed. Convenient place and not a bad price.

El hotel tiene buena ubicación para ir caminando a lugares turisticos. Luce limpio pero los pasillos huelen mal, como a humedad. Lo peor para nosotros fue la comida, es exageradamente mala, solo había dos meseros y un cocinero por lo cual el servicio era muy lento. Al llegar los alimentos estaban frios y mal hechos, una pizza con masa humeda y deshecha, una hamburguesa que parecia que solo juntaron los ingredientes y asi nos los dieron si pasarlos por una parrilla, la calidad y sabor de los ingredientes muy malo. No regresaria.

The check in was a breeze. Most friendly and helpful staff. Very convenient secure parking right next to the hotel. Everything was great, except for the breakfast service and noise. The quality of hot food was poor, as was the fresh fruit and fruit juice. There were a couple tour groups who were loud and boorish. Pretty noisy night too with constant banging of doors. Not the fault of the hotel…

Stayed here for one night on the way to the UK from southern Spain. Hotel easy to locate and great covered car parking to the side of the hotel. Our room was clean, slightly small but adequate for one night stay. We had lunch at the pool bar, nice and reasonable. The hotel is conveniently located and within walking distance to the tourist attractions such as the amphitheatre, cafes and bars. The breakfast was disappointing. The only 'hot' options was bacon and scrambled egg and these were cold. The pastries and cakes were hard. Unfortunately the coffee machine wasn't working for black coffee.
