Quick check in/ out. Helpful staff. Room clean and spacious but fittings a little dated. Beautiful pool. Free towels to borrow for the sun loungers. Quiet room. No fridge in room or kettle which would have been nice. Is quite a walk to the historic centre so we drove in and parked up- a good 30’mins to the Ampitheatre. Lots of restaurants next to the hotel - a mixture of posh and cheap.

Para ser un 4* es bastante mejorable. Para empezar la cama de matrimonio no está sujeta a disponibilidad, sino que conlleva un gasto de 25€ por día. Las habitaciones son bastante “normales” y los “amenities” muy mejorables por no decir inexistentes pero bajo petición. Servicio agradable y desayuno aceptable para un 4*. El hotel cuenta con sauna pero estaba rota. El parking 10€, no está mal, pero puedes aparcar fuera de manera gratuita sin problema.

No hay terraza exterior. No hay nevera en la habitacion. El ruido del transito de huespedes por el pasillo en demasia audible en la habitacion. El parking gratuito esta muy restringido y el de pago no esta automatizado el acceso.

Buena relacion precio calidad si fuese un 2/3 estrellas pero dista de ser un 4 estrellas. Casi 40 grados varios dias en Merida lo cual es usual y la piscina no habilitada, cosa que sabiamos de antemano pero igual me resulta ridiculo. Servicio de habitacion deficiente, de 4 noches solo hubo shampu y jabon liquido solo uno. Muy buen tsmaño de habitacion. Ropa de cama en estado vetusto. 1 sabana y 1 funda con agujeros, ni siquiera reparados, agujeros. Resto ropa blanca amarillenta.

The hotel itself is very nice in the public spaces. However the room we stayed in was tired. The bathroom looked nice, but when you were using it you could see a lot of wear and tear in the corners of the room especially around the bath. The main problem was the excessive noise coming from the neighbouring bar area, where live music was playing.

El hotel está bien, algo lejano del centro de la ciudad. No tiene minibar, por lo que las bebidas no las puedes enfriar en la nevera en los meses calurosos. El A/A funcionaba pero no echaba aire fresco, solo aire. Las puertas de las habitaciones hacen mucho ruido de los demás huéspedes, y tampoco tienen en el pasillo común alfombra para evitar ruidos de maletas.

Fabulous room decoration. Not the run-of-the-mill furnishings - really tasteful and in keeping with the Merida vibe and its Roman heritage! Was not that keen on being next door to several hypermarkets. Staff super friendly. Pool nice and deep so even refreshing even in the height of summer. Deck chairs are at a premium :-) Parents with children: as the pool is deep (2.5 metres in the centre) make sure your children can swim or keep a super close eye on them. The tub in my bathroom looked tired and could do with a refresh. All in all the property rating of 8.2 is quite correct - personally, I loved my stay and got good value for money. One issue are the drink vending machines on 2nd and 3rd floor. They do NOT take card payment. Please, just put a bottle of water in each room. If you want, you can even sell the water for a Euro but many guests need to take tablets and mdicine and a bottle of water is a small but appreciated gesture of hospitality.

En fin de semana el desayuno es a las 8, aunque tenían bastantes clientes que estaban por una competición y debían dejar el hotel temprano, no fueron flexibles perdiendo el desayuno que estaba pagado. Un día se nos ofreció pícnic (muy pobre) pero al día siguiente ya no nos lo quisieron ni pedir porque eran las 22:30 cuando llegamos.

En fin de semana el desayuno es a las 8, aunque tenían bastantes clientes que estaban por una competición y debían dejar el hotel temprano, no fueron flexibles perdiendo el desayuno que estaba pagado. Hotel muy comodo con una piscina muy buena. Habitacion muy grande con camas enormes y una mini nevera. Hemos estado muy a gusto. El puente romano esta a unos 10-12 minutos andando. Al lado del hotel se encuentra un Carrefour, unos cines, restaurante Pomodoro, restaurante cronicas cavernicolas y un McDonalds. Asi que no falta nada.

Quick check in/ out. Helpful staff. Room clean and spacious but fittings a little dated. Beautiful pool. Free towels to borrow for the sun loungers. Quiet room. No fridge in room or kettle which would have been nice. Is quite a walk to the historic centre so we drove in and parked up- a good 30’mins to the Ampitheatre. Lots of restaurants next to the hotel - a mixture of posh and cheap.

Great value and a good location if you’re wanting a little more space outside the confines of Mérida. Situated at a shopping area, you can walk to the big supermarket, and restaurants. Hotel a tiny bit dated (old shower tub in the bathroom) and the balcony would have been nice to have chairs, but the pool was unexpectedly quite nice, especially in the heat of the afternoon.

Es un hotel viejo y demasiado caro para lo que ofrece, se vende como céntrico y está a 2.5 kilómetros del casco histórico, realmente no vale lo que cuesta, el personal excelente, muy atentos pero el hotel viejo, mobiliario viejo, instalaciones viejas sin mantenimiento, no lo recomendaría 😬

Room furniture is dated. Worst was the fact that a ton of bus tour groups seem to always congregate here. They were loud and quite rude as if they owned the place. Breakfast was a circus with them and not a fun circus. LOUD! And lines everywhere to get breakfast. Thank god they left! Would never stay in AZZ again due to bus tour crowd.

En fin de semana el desayuno es a las 8, aunque tenían bastantes clientes que estaban por una competición y debían dejar el hotel temprano, no fueron flexibles perdiendo el desayuno que estaba pagado. Un día se nos ofreció pícnic (muy pobre) pero al día siguiente ya no nos lo quisieron ni pedir porque eran las 22:30 cuando llegamos.

Staff very helpful and good. Pool ok food very low standard.. no wonder nobody comes to the buffet The bathrooms are very tired. It doesn't help that faucet is barely over the edge of bath. All the door edges are showing signs of damp. I wouldn't use this hotel again

Excepto la piscina, que es estupenda y amplia, y se agradece mucho, todo lo demás está demasiado anticuado. Las habitaciones son de un tamaño adecuado y tienen balcón o terraza. Las toallas aún son las del "Tryp Medea" y les hace falta blanquear... Por más que limpien las instalaciones está tan antiguo que difícilmente puede adecentarse. Zonas de exterior con suelo peligroso para caidas y tropezones por estar mal colocadas o levantadas. Respecto a la comida, solo probamos en el almuerzo unas ensaladas de canónigos que se suponía aderezado con torta del Casar. Traía 2 grisini reblandecidos. Demasiado escasas para 13 € y un 4 estrellas. Sandwich club mediocre (12 € con bebida porque había una promo). El desayuno es verdad que solo costaba 10 €/persona pero es malo. Zumo de bote, café de automática...(mejor el te). Fruta escasísima (melón y sandía en trozos y manzanas en piezas), queso de lonchas o dados y chacina... El pan, poca variedad. Yogur a granel. Algo de cereales. Tortilla española más seca que el aire a 40 grados, huevos plancha y duros. Bollería industrial seca y extremadamente dulce... Nada dietético, sin azúcar o sin gluten. Podían subir un poco el precio al desayuno y mejorarlo. En general un hotel anticuado y muy baja calidad para un 4 estrellas que precisa una reforma urgente. El subterráneo en según qué plaza le cae agua del techo al coche. El centro comercial colindante superantiguo.

We really enjoyed our stay at AZZ Mérida Medea. The hotel has a great location, making it very convenient for exploring the beautiful historic city of Mérida. The room was big, comfortable, and clean, which made it perfect for relaxing after a long day of traveling. The service was also very good, and the staff were friendly and helpful.
