Location is very nice. Beautiful beach. Facilities is good. Would like to see the whirlpools both in and out be heated. Same temperature as main pools. The furniture in our suite was sub-par with only one lightbulb for the whole room. It was dark at night with this small floor lamp. The furniture was old and uncomfortable as was the table and chairs. More suited for a beach, not the suite. The only other issue was the hotel signage. There isn’t any on the road leading into the hotel. We arrived late at night and couldn’t find the hotel for a while because all you see is a gate that opens with your hotel room card or you ring a bell. You can’t see the hotel from the main road. With no actual signage to say this was the hotel entrance is not acceptable.

Food was beyond excellent. The hotel was beautiful. The room was clean. The hotel staff were very nice and helpful. My only small disappointment was there was no hot tub. There was a cold tub outside of the gym. I am not sure if that was supposed to be a hot tub and it was just broken or not? Would definitely stay here again. The property is beautiful and well kept. Amazing sunsets every single night. Parking was very easy which was refreshing considering parking elsewhere in Portugal has been difficult. I also liked the location. It wasn't difficult to get to other parts of Algarve.

Das Hotel hat eine super Lage, schöner Blick aufs Meer, Strand und Landschaft. Kurzer Weg zum Strand. Das Frühstück ist super, sogar bis nach 11 Uhr möglich, tolles Personal. Schöner Aussenpool, aber schon ältere Sonnenschirme. Aber unser Zimmer, Bad und unser Balkon entsprechen nicht dem 5-Sterne Standard, leider. Der Innenpool war sehr kalt. Wir haben extra wegen der Reise im November dieses Hotel gewählt, da wir glaubten, bei schlechtem Wetter den Innenpool nutzen zu können. Der war aber wirklich kalt.

Check in was great, parking simple, and included breakfast had great options. For a 5 star hotel I had expected a bit more. The coffee was an instant coffee rather than fresh brewed, the facilites were ok but the location and pool were exactly what we wanted so we would stay again.

Great facilities and close to the beach

A grand Lady with midcentury modern interior design features but the best part would certainly be the direct beach access.

We received 5 star service in a 4 star property. This hotel is in need of investment, the bedroom furnishings & decor are very tired. The gym was awful with the majority of the equipment broken and in need of a deep clean. The mattress was very worn and uncomfortable. I feel sorry for the staff as they go out of their way to give you excellent service. The location is beautiful too, ideal for lovely long walks along the boardwalk.

Facility is very scenic with the outlook to the water and private access to beach. Room was nice with a balcony facing the lawn. The door to get to the balcony was tougher to open than expected, could use some maintenance. The staff was very nice however when i asked several times for a scale to weight my bag for my upcoming flight the said it was out of batteries which is understandable. However a day and a half later as i was checking out the scale still didn't work. Minor inconvenience but i expected more from a Facility like this. Additionally in several areas there were ants inside the Facility. On the last day i found them in my room and have been picking them off my bag all the way until now when im sitting at my gate to my flight home. One of the reasons i booked this was the hot tub that was indicated in the description. This Facility does not have a hot tub however which was very disappointing. Seems like a much better place to stay in the summer season. I was very surprised at how affordable it was prior but after i understand. Pretty good for the price i paid.

The place is very unclean . The service is horrible, my pants were damaged because the seat in the restaurant was greasy.When I asked to clean my pants professionally they said it would take too many days. The manager asked me to give all my information and buy the new pants and send the receipt. I did it and call many times and they promise return money on my account, but they never did. The manager Marina Gonzalez is lier and whole management is scam. :-(

Das Hotel hat seine besten Jahre definitiv hinter sich. Der Teppichboden in den Fluren ist mit Flecken übersät, und auch die Zimmer wirken stark abgenutzt. Besonders die Betten sind eine Enttäuschung – sie sind komplett durchgelegen und sehr unbequem. Positiv hervorzuheben ist jedoch das Frühstück: Die Auswahl war überraschend vielfältig und die Qualität der Speisen wirklich gut. Auch das Personal war äußerst freundlich und zuvorkommend, was den insgesamt negativen Eindruck des Hotels etwas abgemildert hat.

Our Seaview cliff studio was tired and needs updating. However the main cleaning lady we met was wonderful and did a good job. Staff were mostly polite and engaging. Wifi was ok. Breakfast was good in variety but something were cold ( scrambled eggs were watery and held in a very large pan.

Good: location directly at the beach Poor: Breakfast with awful coffee; bad smell in the bathroom; expensive beach chairs; long waiting time at breakfast before getting seated; the whole hotel is old, not in the best condition and never a 5-Star Hotel.

The hotel is in a beautiful spot overlooking the sea and beach. Hotel staff are very nice. Hotel is very clean throughout. Lift down to the beach is a nice plus. Bed rooms in older part of hotel are a little tired and dated. It the views from the hotel you can’t surpass.

Our stay here was wonderful. Our room walked out to a patio over looking the pool and ocean. The food was incredible. The staff were friendly and accommodating. I would definitely stay here again.

Loved the view and closeness to the beach. Nice to be able to sit outside with a drink and enjoy a relaxing day. I was quite disappointed that they had not yet turned on the A/c for the season. All I could do was open the door which did not have a screen. I was ALWAYS warm overnight even when taking the heavy duvet out of the sheets. In my opinion, thermostat/temperature should be an option for the guest and for that reason alone, I probably would NOT stay again or recommend.

The property condition was 2 star. Rooms and bathrooms are very old . We had to switch 2 rooms . The first room had a leak from the ceiling and the bathroom in the second room was very old and discusting . The worse part was the smell of the swage which was like a rotten egg .Unfortunately we had to deal with this smell at night time during our stay. It seemed all the rooms have this issue as we had to change the room 2 times and this smell was in every room. The great things about this hotel was the location , views, accessibility to a gourgous beach, buffet breakfast. Staffs are also very freindly and helpful. If the condition of the property is important to you and ofcourse the swage smell is something you can not tolerate , Do Not book this hotel.

The property is beautiful, the area and beach where it is located is amazing, however the rooms we had were small, quite tired looking, aged and the air-conditioning did not cool much, fortunately the weather was cool enough that sleeping with open windows was a better option. The night we arrived, we are at the hotel bar, unfortunatelly this was the worst meal we (5 people) had, not only during our trip but in general. The breakfast buffet was good and very convenient. If some remodeling takes place, this will be an amazing property, worth of their 5 star class.

The views, location and staff service really make this hotel. Unfortunately we did not receive room upgrade with VIP status but the included wine was excellent. The daily breakfast buffet was very good and we enjoyed the selection of vegetables available with the salad offerings at the dinner buffet. The only reason I give this a 4 vs 5 stars is the matresses and furnishings really need an update. The mattress was very uncomfortable. And no matter how low we made the AC in the room it just never got really cool. With having a sea view room you do get to hear the ocean all night but I did find it hard to sleep with the mattress and room temperature. I would recommend this hotel for everything else though!

States quite clearly, the room would be ready at 3pm, however because our flight was early we arrived at 11am, hoping a room be made available but not to be, we were told 3pm. Had a bit of lunch wandered around, came back around 3pm, the receptionist asked my name again & said the room was still not ready, come back 4pm., We returned at 4pm, the same receptionist asked my name for the third tiime … & the room was still not ready, we eventually got in at 4.30,. Great place but a shocking welcome..!

Very friendly staff. I requested a quiet room and that is what they gave me so I was very pleased. Still with a sea view but at the end of the corridor so a long walk but very little corridor noise. Breakfast selection very good and enjoyed the piano serenade. Very pleased , would come again.

Stay far away from this property. Staff were rude from the moment we walked in. Prepaid for this room and were turned away because we didn’t have our passports but had our license and a Canadian resident card. We tried explaining this to front desk who went to the manager who then told her to say he was busy in Portuguese. Which they did not realize I spoke the language and could understand they were saying. They’re now disputing the credit card company stating we did not show up. When we called Expedia from the lobby they then called the manager who told them he’d call them back later!! Absolutely horrible customer service. We were later told by a guest on the beach that the hotel had actually been over booked so probably why they had no problem sending us away

Very good overall experience. Really did go out of their way to make our group happy which wasn't easy. We did have a leaky room which we would have preferred to have sorted the first time but they moved us the 2nd time and again really treated us well.

We had a wonderful time at the resort. The age group was there was generally 60+. The service was tremendous. At our first breakfast they asked about our room. I mentioned the shower drained a bit slow and within the hour a maintenance person was in our room. We had a nice larger room and a free bottle of wine because of my Vip status in hotels.com.

It was in a beautiful location in a lovely area of the Algarve.

Die Lage des Hotels ist herausragend, der Blick vom Balkon ein Traum(DZ mit Meerblick), der Strand am Hotel ist einfach über eine Treppe oder den Aufzug zu erreichen und in der Nebensaison sehr leer. Das gesamte Personal im Hotel war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Wir hatten Halbpension gebucht und die Auswahl am Buffet war abwechslungsreich, die Hauptspeisen waren nicht immer auf allerhöchstem Niveau. Wir haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen und können das Hotel empfehlen.

Heel fijn hotel, waren vroeg en konden eerder in de kamer! Heel veel gratis parkeerruimte voor de deur met afdakjes tegen de zon! Veel prachtige planten voor de deur en een vijver! Entree vind ik niet heel bijzonder qua uitstraling voor een 5*! De hal bij de incheck is heel ruim en groot, wat mij betreft mogen daar meer lounge bankjes of planten geplaatst worden voor meer sfeer! Daartegen is de trap naar de verdieping waar de bar en het restaurant zich bevindt super mooi, ook daar een water partij wat een sjieke uitstraling geeft! Mooi binnen en buiten terras restaurant, iedere ochtend buiten kunnen ontbijten met uitzicht op het zwembad en strand! Ontbijt is uitstekend! We hebben 2x in het restaurant gegeten van het buffet voor 23,- pp, zeker een aanrader. Ruime kamer, leuk licht ingericht, met balkon en lig-zitje met uitkijk op het zwembad en strand! Een van de mooiste stranden van de Algarve voor de deur! Ruim zwembad met ligbedden! Fitness, groot warm binnenzwembad, sauna, gratis. Wellness tegen betaling! Via het strand en dan een loopbrug van een aantal km ben je bij het haventje van Alvor! Naar Alvor haven is het 15 minuten lopen via het strand, via de straat loop je er zeker wel 20-25 minuten over. Verder een mooi natuurgebied om te wandelen via dezelfde loopbrug op het strand richting Alvor! Al met al een mooi hotel, we komen zeker een keer terug! We waren van 10 febr t/m 18 februari en hebben alle dagen mooi weer gehad!

I liked the nice pool with a gigantiska and marvellous view of the seaside , the close by beach , the nice breakfast, the buffet at the restaurant . I loved the nice hospitality of the staff. We found the beach nearby easily down the stairs. We had an easy parking everytime at the hotel . The rooms were perfectly situated at the sun deck.Everything was clean and comfortable. We were very satisfied with this beautiful hotel and surroundings close to Alvor and Portimao.

Nettes Hotel mit Zugang zum Strand, gutes Frühstück und Abendessen.

We were at the Pestana for our 7 day honeymoon. And we were very pleasently surprised! At the check in we were told we were upgraded to a room with a seaview, which was so lovely. In our room we found a welcoming gift; a bottle of sparkling wine, macarons and a lovely greeting card wishing us a fantastic stay. We had a beautiful balcony on the 5th floor, and the room was pretty decorated with blue and white colors. Breakfast buffet had an inclusive spread with allergyfriendly options. Food and drinks in the bars/restaurants were quite expensive, and our duvet was troublesome, but service was magnificent and staff were very professional. Also the hotel pool, gardens, and the immediate access to the beach made it a very satisfying stay for us!

El entorno y la playa esta muy bien. El hotel tiene muchas carencias para tener 5 estrellas. Lo mejor es el desayuno, no recomiendo comer en el bar.

Das Zimmer, das wir hatten war groß genug, aber mit altem abgewohnten Möbeln eingerichtet. Die Matratzen waren viel zu weich. Der Service war nur bei genügend Trinkgeld einigermaßen gut. Die Lage des Hotels ist Traumhaft. Das Frühstücksbuffet war sehr reichhaltig, der Kaffee leider grottenschlecht. Das Hotel hat 5Sterne, aber ich würde nur 4 Sterne vergeben

Breakfast buffet is great. The beach is gorgeous and theres 2 restaraunts on the beach as well both are great. Parking is easy and plenty of spots.. I gave 4 stars bc the air conditioner is not great we left the sliding door open to cool down the room which was nice fresh breeze. Overall the property is nice...

We had a room on the 6th floor with a view of the ocean. It was magical at night with a full moon. The hotel was clean. Check in was quick, and efficient. The outdoor pool was a little chilly but refreshing. The staff was very friendly especially in the gift shop and it is small but very nice. They sell stamps too. The breakfast buffet was very good, but the evening buffet was awful. I had never seen potato chips, pizza, or what looked like frozen fish sticks on a buffet before. The price was ridiculous for the price. Lunch was good at the pool and also next door at the off property restaurant on the beach. We enjoyed our stay but would not eat at the evening buffet again. Drinks were good and the music in the bar one evening was excellent.
