This is a terrible all inclusive resort. Could not get reservations for steakhouse or Italian until 9:30 at night unless you upgraded to members - not fair! We should be able to eat at a decent time regardless without paying more. We tried to reserve the minute we got there (Thursday) and nothing available until Saturday at 9:30pm. No beach- although they advertise sandy beach. Smelled horrible due to the sargassum. Terrible smell. Pools looked dirty and had brown film everywhere. People were having a hard time getting out of the pool without slipping due to this. This also meant there was no snorkeling or kayaking because you could not get into the water so all of their advertising for water recreation that is supposed to be included in the price was not available. A lot of of the staff was unfriendly. Not all of them, but a lot of of them. We bought an excursion and we’re told it would leave at 8 AM. We got to lobby at 8 AM and we’re told it would not leave until 9:50 AM so we sat around for two hours. They were late picking us up. We did Zipline, ATV and swimming hole. The group they put us with had horseback riding although we were not offered horseback riding so we had to sit at the excursion for an hour and a half waiting on the rest of the group in order to be taken back to the hotel. Wasted half of one of our days at the resort due to wrong leave time and waiting in group. Not cool. I would not recommend this resort. Very disappointed. Be warned.

Very nice and very clean property. Great food with plenty of options. Buffet setup for breakfast daily and most evenings except Friday and Sunday night when they offer Asian. Evenings there is an Italian and a Steakhouse where they suggest getting reservations with your concierge. We met the 2nd day with our concierge and there were no reservations available the remainder of our trip which seemed strange. No worries though, they take walk-ins and we ate at both. For lunch a rotating daily outdoor buffet is setup which we ate a couple times. There is a menu order snack bar by the pool that was great and lastly there is the Landshark Pub which is menu order lunch and dinner in a beautiful bar setting. We also signed up for a guided tour of the brewery in the Landshark that was a lot of fun and finished with tasting of the 4 freshly brewed beers. The lobby bar was always buzzing at night with quality mixologist bartenders very worth a nightly visit. There were two swim up bars with friendly staff. The servers around the pools also are amazing as are all of the daily pool entertainment team. The workout room is spacious with nice equipment and 4 quality treadmills. There are 2 pickleball courts we played a few times which were nice along with some old school shuffleboard. We took an Uber into Cancun for the day about a 30 minute ride up to the action. We loved the property, the people, staff, food, drinks but know, there is not a beach if this is important to you.

If I had known that there is no beach access at this resort, I would not have booked it. I was specifically wanting beach time. Also, the pool walls have black algae on them, and the smell of seaweed will knock you over anytime your outside.

Unfortunately the beach was washed away in a hurricane. Same sign saying so has been there a while waiting for help from the Federal government…still a difference maker. Staff was fantastic for the most but once you check out and do the survey it severely lacks at the front desk, cafe and baggage. Beautiful resort overall but won’t return unless the beach is retained.

Amazing vacation…the employees were 5 star, resort 5 star and rooms were amazing! WE LOVE AARON! The only downside was there is no beach! Maybe the hotel should consider a shuttle to the sister Margaritaville or another beach!

Great experience. Attentive staff, friendly and good food. Great trip all around. Resort is in great shape. They did a great job fixing it up post hurricane. Stairs to beach are still out but you can get down and up with a little jump.

The gym was clean and well maintained. The main pool could use more cleaning, but probably because it was the busiest pool with people spilling alcohol all the time. Restaurants were good, but the best for sure was the service. The manager at the Shark restaurant was incredible, always going out of his way to make sure everyone was having a good time. The bartenders had great attitude and Moeses was the one everyone was looking for, he was fun, great attitude and would remember the drinks for each person for the rest of the week.

The property itself was very clean and gorgeous! Every staff member we encountered was very friendly. However, we came at the wrong time of year (end of May) because there was so much seaweed and it smelled VERY bad. It smelled like rotten eggs and sewage. Therefore, we didn’t want to go to the swim up bar or do any outside activities because of the smell. We had a room with a pool on the balcony that we use only a couple times again because of the smell. The hotel did offer to move us up higher so that we wouldn’t smell it as much, but we couldn’t imagine that would help. Also, even if it did, it wouldn’t have solved the problem of us not being able to use the outside facilities. Our room was also right above a bar, so it was loud.Overall, I give the hotel four stars because of friendly service and cleanliness. Also, they can’t control seaweed smell. However, we couldn’t fully enjoy our stay because of it.

Most everyone was friendly and acted pleased we were there. One gal in the coffee shop had a bit of an attitude because I asked for cream after I received my coffee. Told me I should have ordered white coffee. Well I didn't know but thanks for reprimanding me. The pool was fun but toward the end of our vacation it was looking rough. Our floaties were covered in brown muck and my bathing suit was as well. By our swim up room there was brown stuff floating on the top. They finally cleaned it the night before we had to leave. The food was alright, I have had way worse at other resorts in Mexico. There was evening entertainment daily. The gal they had sing in Land Shark one evening was amazing and fun. All in all we had a great time!

We had an overall good stay, But there were some issues. The staff was amazing. Everyone was friendly and accommodating, Start to finish. We had two swim out suites. One of our rooms was perfect. The other, had air conditioning issues, plumbing issues and when we were given access to the room, we opened the door to a maintenance person spraying for bugs. So we had to wait to across the room for an hour, and it then smelled of chemicals for the next day, even after housekeeping came to re-clean the room. Every time we did need maintenance (which was three times in our four day stay) they always came quickly and solved our issues. The rooms and facilities were very clean and house keeping came by every evening to see if we wanted turndown service and needed any extra towels. They will try to sell you on their vacation club. But will give you discounts on excursions or spa services to listen to an hour presentation. The restaurants were good, the event staff was fun. We had fun dancing at landshark with the live music and DJ. The points system for in room snacks was awful. They had shakers and set up for making drinks at your mini bar in room, but the points given didn’t go towards liquor or mixers in Joe Merchants. That was extra $. The only snacks offered to use points on were tiny bags of chips, three choices of soda, or beer. More options would be nice to spend your mini bar points on. We had 11000 per room and neither of us were able to spend them all.

Every light fixture was covered in dust. The whole place needs a deep clean. The food was awful. All three of us got sick on different nights, including our poor 12 year old daughter. Bartenders ignored us. Limited dining options. All round, terrible experience.

We enjoyed the hospitality of your staff. Everyone was friendly and helpful and no one was pushy about getting tips. This was a big plus. We were safe the entire time and we felt that our belongings were also safe. The quality and the quantity of the food was superb. There was never a moment when we couldn't eat something fantastic. We love mexican food and yours was outstanding. The bottomless drinks were also tasty. All the bar staff did a great job as well. They were always around and asking if we needed another tequilita or something else without being annoying and in the face. The cleaning staff was absolutely on point. They did a wonderful job and the property always looked fresh. There were lots of events to choose from and people enjoyed them all. We specifically enjoyed the Caribbean and the Mexican night at The Boathouse. Really great energy! We recommend The Margaritaville for a great getaway. Attila and Krisztina

It was amazing!! The cleanest hotel we’ve been too in Cancun, this was our 3rd time going to Cancun. The food was also the best. The atmosphere is so calm. Right on the beach and more private than the hotel zone. The staff were great all over from front to the restaurants, the bars, just walking around. I would definitely come again!

Overall the property was very nice and accommodating. The concierge to schedule dinner reservations only being available from 9-2pm daily and not being able to schedule dinners in advance is challenging. We were there for our wedding anniversary and I notified the property of this and wanted to schedule a dinner at the steakhouse for that night in advance but I was not able to do it until we arrived and the concierge was no longer open. This could be improved by allowing this in advance online. The wifi coverage in the pool area was really bad and did not work consistently. In room the wifi access was fine but in the outdoor pool area it needs improvement. Having quiet times during the day around the pools with no music would be nice as well even for an hour in the morning and afternoon.

Resort was okay. A little small. Pool chairs were hard to find unless you got up at 4am to reserve. Food was okay, although you need to make reservations at 2 of the main restaurants. They considered parties of 6 or more a group which is a "uncharged". Rooms were nice but ac units stunk. Our cloths stayed damp in closet from all the humidity in rooms. Ac never stopped running. I can say that the Angel and pool staff and waitstaff were increadible. They deserve so much credit for making eveyone at pool area entertained.

This was a great place to stay! The property opened in 2023 and so is quite new. All the staff were super friendly and helpful. The rooms were super clean and high end. Great quality for price.

We loved the swim up room. The pool was wonderful. The swim up bars are very nice. The property staff are very friendly and helpful. Very clean. The rooms are beautiful decorated. We did not like the way the in room drinks/snacks work. You have a point system on your room key. You go to a store and pick what you want. The options are beer or soda. You have to pay for wine there. The snacks are chips, very small bags of chips. Not a good selection at all You can get free wine at the bar but the pool bars close at 5 and 6pm The pools close at 6pm There is no beach, it's gone. The steps are gone that would take you to the beach. It's on the water but no access. There are 2 restaurants, steak and Italian, you have to get reservations for these 2 places. They are nice. The other options for food is outside beach restaurant, closes at 5pm. Or land shark rest. There is a restaurant called the boat house, it's open for buffet breakfast, good, and some times open for lunch and dinner, but not everyday. I did not like that you don't have options for dinners. The lobby bar is open late, but of course it's very full. They offer a premier membership, we didn't go to the invite to become this or hear any explanations about it. So over all is good, with no so great things. I would visit again, bit maybe ask about other options for drinks and snacks. I am gluten free and i can't drink beer or eat those snacks. They do offer gluten free bread and dessert.

The staff was very friendly. however a few things I noticed, (1) check in is not until 3pm and they hold firm so no matter what time you arrive and no matter if there are rooms available plan to hang out at the bar or outside restaurant because you will not get in your room until 3. (2) the food is okay, I have had better Tacos at home, and there are not many options. Lastly, and most importantly, if you are looking for a beach vacation, just simply pick somewhere else! the Sargassum here is horrible and the smell is worse! There is no beach at this resort. The 4stars is for the resort itself, the room was beautiful, the staff is stellar and the resort grounds are well kept! The pools are great!

We had an overall good stay, But there were some issues. The staff was amazing. Everyone was friendly and accommodating, Start to finish. We had two swim out suites. One of our rooms was perfect. The other, had air conditioning issues, plumbing issues and when we were given access to the room, we opened the door to a maintenance person spraying for bugs. So we had to wait to across the room for an hour, and it then smelled of chemicals for the next day, even after housekeeping came to re-clean the room. Every time we did need maintenance (which was three times in our four day stay) they always came quickly and solved our issues. The rooms and facilities were very clean and house keeping came by every evening to see if we wanted turndown service and needed any extra towels. They will try to sell you on their vacation club. But will give you discounts on excursions or spa services to listen to an hour presentation. The restaurants were good, the event staff was fun. We had fun dancing at landshark with the live music and DJ. The points system for in room snacks was awful. They had shakers and set up for making drinks at your mini bar in room, but the points given didn’t go towards liquor or mixers in Joe Merchants. That was extra $. The only snacks offered to use points on were tiny bags of chips, three choices of soda, or beer. More options would be nice to spend your mini bar points on. We had 11000 per room and neither of us were able to spend them all.

We had an excellent stay here. The resort was beautiful, small, and quiet. The food was unimpressive, but it was all included, so we can’t complain. The room upgrade they offered us was too expensive, and I wouldn’t do it again the future. I would stay here again though. Overall, it’s a beautiful property!

Loved our stay. Room was clean and had plenty of space. Lots of room at pool and did not have to try to save a chair at 6am. Food was good- especially at specialty restaurants. Landshark brewery tour was excellent! Food was great at brewery for lunch but not so great for dinner/late night. My only complaint was we could not get our room cool enough at night-

Our recent stay at the MARGARITEVILLE ISLAND RESERVE Riviera Maya Adults Only All Inclusive Resort was highly enjoyable. The property's cleanliness, meticulous landscaping, and manageable size contributed to a positive experience. Accessibility was excellent, with convenient navigation throughout the resort via a rented mobility scooter, facilitated by numerous elevators and safe ramps. This feature is particularly significant, and we anticipate returning to this resort in the future. The staff's friendliness and helpfulness were noteworthy. The rooms were beautifully decorated, and the beds were comfortable. A potential area for improvement is the limited availability of handicapped-accessible rooms, with only one such room currently offered at a premium rate. While the staff provided a shower chair and grab bar in the shower, the addition of a grab bar in the restroom area would further enhance accessibility. The food choices were excellent and the wait staff were extremely friendly.

1st off, the "regular" staff is great at this resort. The drinks are good and plentiful, the food is good, the coffee house is nice in the morning (even though it doesn't open at 7), and we enjoyed the Landshark bar/brewery. We also stayed during the sargasm/seaweed invasion. It created a foul/bad smell that to some in our party caused numerous gag reflexes in the morning as we tried to reacclimate ourselves each day. This is something that the resort has no control over. The rooms did a good job of filtering the foul outside air. We had a room with the Infinity pool. It is ocean view, but not ocean front. Our room actually had a musty/mildew 'ish' smell. Probably due to people tracking water into the rooms from the pool. I was very sensitive to it, but my wife thought it was OK. NOW....for the most negative part of the stay..... the concierges. These people are not there to help you! They are there to sell you into their "Vacation Club". Just ask my son. He received 3 phone calls too early in the morning! Plus, we would try to book a reservation at the JWB steakhouse, or the Italian restaurant only to be told that it was booked, full, or the computers were locked out, or that it would be available for 2 days after our departure. It was very frustrating to feel coerced into attending a 1-2 hour high pressure sales meeting (which we did not). If you are persistent and try multiple times, you will eventually get into the steakhouse & Italian restaurant.

The staff outside of the checkout process was amazing, the place is clean, it is quiet near the rooms and a great time at pool area. Now back to checking and out.. checkin had to reserve 2 restaurants on arrival they told us they couldn’t fit us in as it was booked but if we did the seminar they could get us in. So when we got to the restaurant it was only 4 tables occupied, with at least 15 empty tables. That was it for check in. After we did the seminar we got 150 in credits to be applied at checkout. They didn’t want to deal with them and tried to say it would take to much time to apply them. But had to pressure them into it.. that was the only 2 bad things. My advice tell them you have no time for that seminar.. and take yourself to the restaurant and check yourself in and enjoy your time as that is why you came.!

Service can be improved, servers take a long time to bring a drink or they don't come to the table. Every time I had to ask them to bring water to the table. The room smelled very strongly of mold. The air grille had black marks. When I told the hostess upon arriving, she said she is unable to smell it, although it was very strong. The non-smoking areas are too few and there are no proper ashtrays. There is no beach any longer and the resort should make this public knowledge. The same as for the non-smoking policy. Had I known there is no beach and the resort is non-smoking, I would have chosen a different resort. Otherwise, the property is beautiful, very clean and well cared for. Food was good as well.

Day 1 we arrived and were given a tour from a concierge and checked in and was given an opportunity to pick from a romantic dinner or couple massage and then if we don’t use. We get $100 towards our room. Dinner was ok night 1. During the live music I went to the ladies room where the door knob fell off and locked me in the bathroom. For 15 min I banged and screamed for help. It wasn’t till my bf went looking for me and had a woman check the bathrooms did she have to let me out. FYI during this day I got 3 visits and 2 phone calls to pay and pre book a massage for an extra fee. I finally snapped as I felt like I was being harassed. Day 2 we had dinner reservations to the only OTHER restaurant. That is correct. They only have 2 restaurants for dinners. 2 for lunches. And 1 for breakfast. Dinner at Latino was by far the worst food at the report. So bad. Day 3 we took an uber to Puerto Morales for dinner and had an amazing meal. At no time did I get drunk……… All meals have up charges for extra money to have better food. The hotel is a time share selling hotel so come to find out I had to pay for the Taco Party and wasn’t allowed to use the $100 package I was given at the start because I didn’t sit through a time share presentation that I knew nothing about. Don’t forget the bug spray !!! I look like I have the chicken pox from whatever bugs are at the main bar. Bath tubs don’t have hot water. Oh yes and in our suite the door to the bedroom fell off twice!

The staff was excellent. The problems are the same with any Karisma resort as they offer you everything and very rarely deliver with any of their promises as many other people has pointed out lost reservations or on a week long stay they cannot get you a reservation. These are problems we run into at multiple karisma resorts. I will be the last time we will be staying with them.

Loved the swim-up bars at the pools. Food was average....like cruise ship food. I was extremely disappointed in the concierge service. Told by concierge when we checked in that there was no availability at either of the signature restaurants. Talked to numerous new friends about their experiences and they were much the same...no room at the restaurants. so we walked in and requested a table and there was virtually no one in the places and wait staff was standing around and were immediately ushered to a table. This isn't right and hurts the reputation of the resort. And beside that the food was just ok. Loved the poolside service and the swim-up bars. Attentive wait staff and bartenders. Place was spotlessly clean. Service at Boathouse was outstanding. Ask for Christian or Maximiliano and rest assured you will have a great experience. Sargassum must be in full bloom as the seaweed was bad and the smell worse. If you got outside by the Landshark it was terrible. In the pool closest to the hotel, you couldn't smell the sargassum, so we stayed there all of the time. The Salted Rim Bar in the lobby made some very interesting craft cocktails, so suggest you give them a try. All in all it wasn't a bad vacation, just a few blips during the stay. I'd say 4/5!

Very friendly wait staff. Always gracious and kind. We did not care for the constant badgering to sit and listen to the spiel to become a Karisma member. At one point, the Prestige representative was literally begging us to attend.

The staff is wonderful, the resort is beautiful, clean and comfortable. The rooms have everything you need to rest and feel pampered. The staff go beyond, so sweet and really make your stay feel special. The food is excellent! This was my second time and won't be my last. Sergio the pool waiter was fantastic! The social team of Angel, Regina and Angelo were so nice and fun! Irving is an excellent bar tender. Jose and Sefario are excellent waiters in the Boathouse. Can't thank them enough for making our visit so wonderful. We hope to be back soon!

The social team of Angel, Regina and Angelo were so nice and fun! Irving is an excellent bar tender. Jose and Sefario are excellent waiters in the Boathouse. Can't thank them enough for making our visit so wonderful. We hope to be back soon!

From start to finish, our experience at the resort was exceptional. The staff truly stood out—they were incredibly friendly and always eager to help. I’d like to give special recognition to a few individuals who went above and beyond to make our stay even more memorable: Viktor at the bar, Geraldo, Erick, Gabino, and Noel from the Boathouse, and Carlos and Eduardo at LandShark. Each of them provided outstanding service that truly elevated our experience. The resort itself is impeccably clean and well-maintained, with spacious and comfortable rooms. We were fortunate to enjoy a partial ocean view, which was a lovely bonus. The dining options were fantastic, with each restaurant offering something unique. While we thoroughly enjoyed all the food, the Italian restaurant was our favorite—the pizza was surprisingly amazing! Breakfast at the Boathouse buffet was a highlight, offering a wide variety of delicious options to start the day. While the resort doesn’t have direct beach access, we didn’t find this to be an issue. There’s ample seating around the pools, making it easy to soak up the sun and relax. We actually spent some time a the pickle ball courts. Overall, we were thoroughly impressed with the exceptional customer service and attention to detail throughout our stay. We would definitely return.

Well the difference between waterfront amd beachfront was learned on this trip. Hotel was very nice and staff was great. The limited beach acess was off putting and I expected more. The pools were great but water was cold and no jacuzzi except for the spa. The amenities and the courtesy ALL(single and families) showing guests the grounds,eateries, bathrooms, hours of operation should be a standard here. It wasnt. The hotel is lovely and if ur looking for relaxing no frills time sitting by the pool kind of vacay this is a great place, but dont expect a walk to the beach.

It’s an excelent and beautifull hotel. The food and drinks are great in every bar and restaurant. However, location is fan from everything and roads near the hotel are destroyed and some drivers are going to mention that they won’t go through those roads, especially on rainy days since it get flooded. Overall, it’s an good choices if you are looking not to go out much and enjoy the facilities.

Only reason for 4 stars: NOTHING around the property to walk to. No shops, markets, etc. You are literally in the middle of the trees with a few other properties. Everything would be a taxi/uber ride away. The property was amazing. Clean. Staff perfect! Good food. Hard to get in the 2 dinner places that require reservations.

Resort overall was terrific, although I thought the food could be better. Service was impeccable. Did not leave the property as the resort is a bit of a distance from the main road, which was preferred.

The dining options were very limited, and the room service was disappointing, often forgetting items we requested. The room itself had an awkward layout, was not clean, and lacked proper storage for clothing. Nowhere to go around this resort. The road leading to the resort was in terrible condition, riddled with potholes and frequently flooded, making it difficult to get anywhere. Arranging transportation was also a challenge, as it was in a secluded area, and the front desk staff were unhelpful and rude. They even quoted an exorbitant $180 for a taxi ride to a destination only 15 minutes away. Told us Uber was a 2 hour wait. Staff were a bunch of scammers! Literally giggling Infront of our faces. Got an Uber in 20 min. Koodos to our Uber driver that when through the treacherous roads. Hope his car is ok LOL.

This was a good all inclusive hotel right on the beach with lovely pools and landscaping. I was upgraded to a swim up room which was lovely. The hotel had a Mexican fiesta on the beach one night with dancers and musicians and I did the morning yoga. The restaurants are menu service for lunch and dinner. The only downside is the hotel is not near a town centre and has a very poor road to get to it. Overall I enjoyed my stay here!

The property itself was excellent, very clean, very quiet. It’s basically a brand new resort and the staff, for the most part we’re very courteous and professional. There were a few waiters with attitudes and service could be slow at times, but other than that, it was very nice stay. However, couple of things were a negative for me. One, this resort does not have a beach and I would’ve never booked here had I known that. beforehand. Also, it’s way out in the middle of nowhere and getting there you have to take pothole dirt roads, and it’s a very long drive from Cancun airport, probably 45 minutes or so depending on traffic. So if you’re looking for nightlife off of the resort, you will not find it because you’re literally out in the middle of nowhere! Two, “buyer beware” if you decide to book an excursion with their on site booking service. We booked the the Isle Mujeres tour. They told us they were running a promotion special that day two for one. We thought it was a pretty good deal so we booked it. Little did we know that the two for one was contingent upon you showing up for their timeshare sales promotions and sitting through an hour of high-pressure sales to buy into their timeshares and travel packages. And if you didn’t sit through their one hour sales promotion, then you had to pay the balance of the two for one excursion. To me this is a low-life, sneaky used car salesman tactic! I would not recommend this place to anyone, and I will never stay there again!

We just completed a 9 day stay at the property. I feel like we got to know the resort well before we left. Whether you would enjoy your stay greatly depends on what kind of traveler you are. Are you there for drinking or adventure? Do you want quiet or a swim up room by the bar? My husband and I were in room 415 and my adult sons were pin 403. Originally they put us in the bottom floor 403 that looks right into the License to Chill bar. That was better suited for the 20 something’s that didn’t mind hearing music from 9-5, so we switched rooms. The downstairs patio opened to the courtyard, so they could bring a drink from the bar to their room. We preferred the upper balcony of 415 & corner window that looked over the ocean. It was ideal for watching the sunrise.Our beach was meticulously cleaned of plastic and seagrass every morning by hardworking groundskeepers. It is much easier to get an alcohol drink than water. The bartenders are friendly and good at their craft. We were always able to find a chair on the beach. There is an excursion desk that’s easy to use if you’d like a day out. I tried to get information before our trip to plan ahead, but had a difficult time. I even got misinformation on Chichén Itzá, so I booked a private tour. Our trip to Isla Mujeres booked through the resort was fun. The resort is isolated. There isn’t much area to explore or places to run or walk around. There is a stuffy, indoor gym with no view. I’d recommend only 4-5 days to keep it fresh.

From ease of check in to clean property to great staff, we enjoyed our time at this resort. They provided great activities, exercise at the pool each day, tequila tasting, cocktail making class, good music. LandShark restaurant food and entertainment was great. License to Chill served a variety of great tacos. Coffee Bar in Joe's Merchant included pastries, salads and sandwiches. The Boathouse was the buffet, it provided great choices for breakfast, lunch and dinner, our waitress Yitzy was great. Room Service was good and housekeeping was great, we had Melby. The reservation only restaurants, Frank & Lola's and JWB Steakhouse were both disappointments. The food was dry (our group had mahi mahi, seafood risotto and chicken parm ~ all were dry, with requested added sauce the chicken parm was ok), just expected more flavorful food for a reservation only restaurant. JWB Steakhouse, DON'T waste time on any upcharged steaks. Our waiter, Carlos was great. The upcharge steaks were cut incorrectly (rib eye and cowboy). One of the rib eye steaks we were served was mostly fat and cut like a thin, flat steak, when we complained to the head waiter, Christian, he dismissed our concerns and told us we were wrong and there was nothing he could do, not someone that should be a Head Waiter. We paid almost $100 extra for the rib eye. Paid extra for the Caribbean Lobster, no flavor and dry. The baked potato was the size of a small red potato. The quality of the steaks were just okay.

In 4 days I was not able to go to any restaurants beside the buffet everyday. They told me I need to reserve same day and when you do there is no places available anymore. "ALL-INCLUSIVE" but you dont get to eat at any restaurant and they advertise for 5 restaurants and only got 2 the buffet so really 3 restaurants and a coffee shop.

The JWB steakhouse had terrible meat. Maybe if I paid the extra $50 for a decent cut it would have been edible. Frank & Lola’s sent what it was last year at the other Margaritaville. Landshark was the saving grace along with the taco bar. The serving staff and all the workers were excellent. Fix the “reservation” restaurant food and the smelly seaweed, and it would be perfect.

Day 1 we arrived and were given a tour from a concierge and checked in and was given an opportunity to pick from a romantic dinner or couple massage and then if we don’t use. We get $100 towards our room. Dinner was ok night 1. During the live music I went to the ladies room where the door knob fell off and locked me in the bathroom. For 15 min I banged and screamed for help. It wasn’t till my bf went looking for me and had a woman check the bathrooms did she have to let me out. FYI during this day I got 3 visits and 2 phone calls to pay and pre book a massage for an extra fee. I finally snapped as I felt like I was being harassed. Day 2 we had dinner reservations to the only OTHER restaurant. That is correct. They only have 2 restaurants for dinners. 2 for lunches. And 1 for breakfast. Dinner at Latino was by far the worst food at the report. So bad. Day 3 we took an uber to Puerto Morales for dinner and had an amazing meal. At no time did I get drunk……… All meals have up charges for extra money to have better food. The hotel is a time share selling hotel so come to find out I had to pay for the Taco Party and wasn’t allowed to use the $100 package I was given at the start because I didn’t sit through a time share presentation that I knew nothing about. Don’t forget the bug spray !!! I look like I have the chicken pox from whatever bugs are at the main bar. Bath tubs don’t have hot water. Oh yes and in our suite the door to the bedroom fell off twice!

It was amazing!! The cleanest hotel we’ve been too in Cancun, this was our 3rd time going to Cancun. The food was also the best. The atmosphere is so calm. Right on the beach and more private than the hotel zone. The staff were great all over from front to the restaurants, the bars, just walking around. I would definitely come again!

We had an amazing time on our vacation at Margaritaville Cancun. The resort was incredibly clean. The rooms spacious and clean. The pools and bars and activities were a ton of fun. Our absolute favorite restaurant was Rita's Taco House!! Dinners were amazing at Frank and Lola's and the Latin Fusion restaurant. Fun dinners on the beach as well. Would go again in a hearbeat!

Our absolute favorite restaurant was Rita's Taco House!! Dinners were amazing at Frank and Lola's and the Latin Fusion restaurant. Fun dinners on the beach as well. Would go again in a hearbeat!

This is a smaller resort but let that deter you. The service is very friendly, helpful and courteous. They will go above and beyond to see that you get what you need/want. There are some areas where the resort is showing its age and wear however we also could see things being fixed up while we were there. It was a little disappointing to have the bar n the adult area closed (they told us it was a staffing issue). Luckily the other bar isn’t too far. I really wish the menus would offer more choice for non fish/beef/pork eaters. We did tire of the restaurants and food after 5 days. Snacks could also be improved when you’re looking to satisfy the afternoon munchies and don’t want to go to a sit down restaurant.

Love this resort because of friendly staff & remarkable service. Fine & casual dining. The special romantic dinner on the beach option. Really great place to relax & have many things to do. Concierge team was Awesome! Plan to visit again when possible.

Great staff! No Air-conditioned areas other that your room. Drinks good and not watered down, but some of the had a horrendous smell???? Food was pretty poor. Very very limited. Did feel like I was staying at a closed off compound.
