Not worth staying again. No elevator (1st floor was full). Outdated inside. The towel rack fell off. No wall plugs except one behind the mattress. I'll be happy to pay more elsewhere.

The only negative was parking was limited.. but they took your license plate, so you wouldn't be towed. And it was nice they had a little smoking area out front. The rest of our stay was cozy! Ans the front desk gal qas super friendly.

Pros:the front desk folks were great. Room was as clean as you could make a run down hotel room. Bed was comfortable. Breakfast is great and generous bottled water was available. Cons: drug deals going on in the parking lot (the front desk folks had called the cops and run them off, but does not instill a feeling of safety). Sketchy folks lingering in the smoking area.

I didn’t smell anything until I pulled the covers down. I initially smelled urine but thought it was in the carpet. Once I layed down, I realized it was in the mattress. When I pulled the bedding off, I saw that the mattress was full of urine and we all crammed in to the other bed. Even after showing the manager pictures, he said the stain was something else and that I had no proof that I had laid down in a mattress full of body fluids. Management was very unapologetic and did not care that the entire mattress was stained. They repeatedly told me I was wrong and the room was fine. It was a very disgusting and frustrating experience

The nicest most comfortable and clean motel I’ve stayed at in years. The room was so clean and smelled so nice. Staff was all friendly and helpful. Will stay there again next year when I visit Mount Vernon again.

The overall room and beds here were clean however bathroom was not . There was hairs in the shower and on the floor as well as an odd smell. For a quick stay it was fine . Parking was easy . Staff were friendly .

Besides the meth pipe we found, the room was ok. It’s an older place and showed its age. Tub had rust stains. AC worked fine. It was lvp throughout so that was nice. Bed was actually more comfortable than I thought it would be. Breakfast is grab and go and for the price we paid was decent. I would not stay here again though because of the drug paraphernalia. Made me question how well they really do clean after each guest.

The room had a nice lay out. There was a dresser with two big drawers which were very convenient for my 5 night stay. Perfect sized room. The bed was very comfortable. The entry area has a big area for suitcases, bags and clothes hanging. There is a full sized ironing board and iron. Mini refrigerater and microwave worked great. The free wifi had no connection issues and was fast enough to stream online shows with no problem. The place was pretty quiet. Half way through my stay, there were occupants in the room above me. I could hear them when turning on their shower and sometimes when moving around, but no conversation. I slept well every night. The staff were helpful and accomodating. There was also a nice sized tv and cable tv, however, I did not use the tv, as I have shows I watch on my laptop on Amazon prime.

This is an older property and definitely showing its age. However, the room seemed clean enough and it's conveniently located near the highway and restaurants/shopping. Despite that proximity, it wasn't overly noisy. The bed wasn't *terrible*, but it was one of the least comfortable ones I've experienced. I ended up tucking the extra bed pillows underneath me to soften the surface, and that helped a lot. Breakfast is grab-and-go, and all the offerings have about a week's worth of sugar in them. I didn't bother to take anything my second morning -- instead I drove over to the WalMart and picked up some fresh fruit and yogurt. There was a bit of misunderstanding when I checked in, but the front desk clerk was very accommodating and got everything cleared up fairly quickly. Overall, it's OK for its price point (and it was sold out both nights I was there, so obviously other people think so as well). I'd stay there again, but I'd definitely bring my own breakfast next time.

Front desk was friendly, quick and accommodating. Room was old, bed was worn out and sunken in the middle, sheets were clean, tub had stains, things had been replaced in bathroom over the years and paint hasn’t been touched up. Light fixture over sink was dead. Lots of road/train noise. Convenient location. Would have sufficed for a cheap room and quick stay if it hadn’t been for the bed.

I really enjoyed staying here, right off the road of two grocery stores, multiple places to eat within 1-2 minute walk, and it was very quiet. Inside the room was nice and the bed was extremely comfortable. Only small gripe I had was they had a kitchenette that didnt provide anything to cook with which seemed silly. Why have a full setup and expect guest to go out and buy pots and pans or even a single plate or cup . Overall would stay again easily at this price.

We were coming in late night from a flight and the front desk staff waited for us, which was very considerate. The hotel is no frills, but the staff are very friendly and the cost was very reasonable and everything was clean. I would definitely stay here again.

Efficient, fast and courteous front desk staff. Spacious room with very comfortable beds. Need to take the stairs up with luggage to the second floor as no elevator. Great for an overnight stay before heading home from Seatac. I enjoyed my stay and would definitely stay here again.

I didn't realize I had made a reservation obligating me for the stay I was considering taking to the area. I ended up not travelling there and had forgotten about the place with the Tulip Inn I held thinking it was no obligation. I was charged for the stay. I called the Tulip Inn and the attitude of the woman I spoke with was rude and unrelenting. "No refund, you booked the room!" Hotels.com called and tried to explain that mistakes happen, they still didn't budge. No believe there is a mad rush for rooms at the hotel and that the room they charged me for left no other rooms available there. I will be travelling to the are in November and definitely stay elsewhere.

The keys wouldn’t work upon arrival so we had to go back and get them fixed again when our hands were already full with all of our items. I also called the tell receptionist my name was mispelt as it should not have been on the receipt. The receptionist is a drama queen. She got my boyfriend involved, which stirred up a lot of trouble between us. She could have just fixed the misspelling instead of talking to him about it. He went to front desk there to fix the keys and then the keys still didn’t work, but I was already in the motel and we weren’t leaving for the evening because there’s nothing to do in that town and we were just catching our ferry the next day. Typical small town stirring the pot!

This place was perfect for what we needed. The desk staff was absolutely amazing! We had to leave early for a fishing trip and would miss the free breakfast so she made us breakfast bags for the morning. Great price, very cean and great service. I recommend to anyone staying in mt vernon.

Accommodating since I checked in after 11pm buy had to call to have staff check me in. Totally unfriendly. Prepaid room and informed I had a service animal. Staff commented about my service dog and needing advance notice per web instructions “but no one ever reads them”. There were no designated service animal rooms left. Questioned the size of the dog and she’d let us pass since it’s soooooo late. Gave me a large burgundy blanket to cover the bed because everything is white. Bed was okay, it creeped when moving. Definitely needs updating. The desk lamp kept flickering, had to unplug it. One power strip that the refrigerator was plugged into but the microwave and coffee maker did not reach it. Bathroom lights over sink inoperable, lucky there was another light fixture. Best part, AM staff friendly and breakfast-small continental but enough to start the day. Overall okay.

Questioned the size of the dog and she’d let us pass since it’s soooooo late. Gave me a large burgundy blanket to cover the bed because everything is white. Bed was okay, it creeped when moving. Definitely needs updating. The desk lamp kept flickering, had to unplug it. One power strip that the refrigerator was plugged into but the microwave and coffee maker did not reach it. Bathroom lights over sink inoperable, lucky there was another light fixture. Best part, AM staff friendly and breakfast-small continental but enough to start the day. Overall okay.

The staff and manager were unprofessional and had poor communication with each other. The floor in the room had not been mopped in a long time and our feet turned black from walking on it. The shower was also black, most likely from many people walking on the dirty floors and then using the shower. This is unacceptable and I would not stay here again.

The Tulip Inn was perfect for the tulip festival and street fair! Literally 10 min from the best parking lot from the street fair. Room was clean, I traveled with my little sister and we both felt safe. Easy to find right off the freeway. My only wish was that the toilet flushed better and there was a water fill up station.

I had a late ferry andcthe staff was super friendly and accomodating for an 11pm check in. The room was clean and quiet and I coukd oark rught in front of the room. Good security!! Convenient to Anacortes ferry just 20 minutes away!

It’s an older property but is maintained well and clean. Staff both check in and check out were pleasant and helpful, the motel is across the street from a Walmart (and a Loewes if you’re that way inclined). Close to Mount Vernon and Burlington, took day trips to LaConner, Arlington and Anacortes - all within easy driving range. Would stay again.

The room was very nice and comfortable. Really the only downside to this hotel is the breakfast. There is no breakfast area and breakfast choices very limited. However, there is an iHop across the street. It is very convenient, with restaurants, Walmart and an AMC in close proximity.

Do not expect much but looks like it was renovated recently so it seems clean. I prefer they don’t put so much air refresher tho.For the price you pay, it is ok to stay for a night. Breakfast is frozen egg and sausage muffin so you can microwave in your room. You need to ask reception for it tho if you are interested.

This is an older property and definitely showing its age. However, the room seemed clean enough and it's conveniently located near the highway and restaurants/shopping. Despite that proximity, it wasn't overly noisy. The bed wasn't *terrible*, but it was one of the least comfortable ones I've experienced. I ended up tucking the extra bed pillows underneath me to soften the surface, and that helped a lot. Breakfast is grab-and-go, and all the offerings have about a week's worth of sugar in them. I didn't bother to take anything my second morning -- instead I drove over to the WalMart and picked up some fresh fruit and yogurt. There was a bit of misunderstanding when I checked in, but the front desk clerk was very accommodating and got everything cleared up fairly quickly. Overall, it's OK for its price point (and it was sold out both nights I was there, so obviously other people think so as well). I'd stay there again, but I'd definitely bring my own breakfast next time.
