Best Western Bend North

The counter staff was great. Last minute reservation as Klamath Falls city was out of rooms. Breakfast was adequate. Good but not great. Room was clean, comfortable. Parking was limited but parking on near road available. Safe area, had no issues parking on street. Lots of truckers and working folk staying there. Would recommend for quick stay.

The property is away from a lot of things, but close to a main highway so everything is within driving distance, including a small shopping mall area with restaurants. It helps if there’s a gas station right across from the hotel as well. It is clean and quiet, and the staff is friendly. The breakfast breakfast is filling. And the gym is adequate. I wish there were more free weights like kettle bells.

Hot tub closed both night at 7 pm for maintenance. Real disappointing.

Nice clean property in a safe area! Reception staff was super friendly and accommodating! Our room was clean and comfy! We didn’t use the pool or spa, but we did use the gym. Gym was adequate but the air conditioner was not working.. tv was not working, no weights less than 15 #s. I’m very aware of my surroundings because I walk my service animal at night. No sightings of homeless encampment as stated in previous reviews.

This place is decent but needs updating. PROPERTY- Elevator was very startling with more than 3 people in it. Would jolt and make an awful noise at level 3. People would be startled every time. I originally booked this hotel since we were on day 8 of a 15 day road trip and they had laundry on property- BUT upon arriving, all machines were out of order our entire stay. Management said “yeah it’s broken. Sorry”. The screen to our window was very torn up with large holes, so we could still get airflow but the rest was so worn, we couldn’t see thru it well. CLEANLINESS- Our room had lucky charms on the floor and IN the AC unit. Remote control had something crusted to it. Had to clean it twice with Lysol wipes to get it all off. Floors in the hallway had stuff all over the first night we arrived. Thought surely was due to it being end of day and ok- but not once was it vacuumed by the day we left, 2 days later. Pool was murky and VERY strong chlorine odor in indoor space where pool is. There was dirt on window sill/window track and crevices on elevator- not a dust- dirt built up. The room was quiet enough and we had a decent stay due to location and that we weren’t there a lot during our visit to Bend. I would not stay again unless in a pinch or it was updated/cleaner. Maybe they are doing what they can but certainly not to reasonable standards. People were friendly enough. Breakfast was fine- par for these types of establishments.

We did not get to stay here because their elevator was out of order and being our 70s we couldn't walk up the stairs and carry suitcases also. We found a new hotel.

Overall, we had a good stay. Kids loved the pool and hot tub (jets didn’t work). Wi-Fi was on the slower side. Cons: it seems like all the headboards were loose as ours (and our neighbors) would bang every time you moved around in bed.

The hotel room was clean and in good condition. The staff was competent and helpful. I was disappointed that the hot tub was closed. We picked the hotel for the hot tub, which is really nice after a long drive.

I would say the only draw back for this place was only one elevator and you could only enter through the front door. It was a nice hotel, clean, staff was friendly and the room was nice. I would stay there again.

Was super bummed that the hottub was out of service when that was the main reason I booked. First time walking into room there was a big clump of hair sitting right on the desk. The toilet looked like it hadn’t been cleaned as well. Super bummed with this stay:

Was not clean whatsoever!! Especially the bathroom. Literally poop and pee on and around the toilet seat. No fan in the bathroom making black mold everywhere and paint peeling from the walls and ceiling. Will never stay again!

Hotel was dirty, breakfast was a 1 out of 10

The AC did not work well, room was worn and dirty, the front desk was understaffed, the hotel smelled musky, the room smelled a different musk from the hotel, the bed was like a piece of plywood, but on a positive note there were no bedbugs!

This hotel was very dirty. There was rotten food in the fridge, the bedding was stained with what looked like blood. There was also a lot of pee around the toilet. Very unsatisfied and will not be staying here again.

Room was very clean and the hotel was in great shape. The breakfast had a lot of choices including scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, and waffles.

The hotel is a little tricky to find coming from the south due to changes to Highway 97...just follow directions. The beds were very comfortable. The bathroom was a downside...no working fan and previous signs of mold on the ceiling.

This BWP is in a good location and easy to access. Rooms are immaculate and the staff very helpful!

Awful dirty. Don’t stay there. We had to leave

The room was less than clean - not vacuumed properly as there was visible debris, handprints on the mirror, grime on the bathroom door and doorknob. Just not enough attention to cleanliness!

Comfortable beds and pillows allowed a restful night

The room was very quiet and comfortable. Being able to set the air conditioning for a relatively warm temperature and low speed continuous fan seemed to eliminate temperature fluctuations. We always appreciate generous counter space in the bathroom, which provides room for toiletry bags. The breakfast was tasty (especially the omelets), and the person staffing the breakfast room was great at keeping food replenished and even wiping down the tables.

The pillows are awful. How do you have a King Bed with those awful little pillows. Found a wrapped up pick of aluminum fold under the chair.

Located right off the highway so traffic noise is a thing. AC barely worked in my room. Staff was super nice though. And bend is small enough where you’re still close enough to stuff. Can’t walk to anything though.

No blinds on 2nd floor a street lamp shinned on my face all night. recommend spending the extra fifty bucks on a better place. hotel experience didn’t like the lamp.

My only complaint is the WIFI was unusable. It was way too slow to be usabke at all.

The Internet via wifi failed. The front desk verified it was down and asked me to phone the provider. I spent more than 20 minutes on the phone and they confirmed the whole property was affected. They got it going again about 2.5 hours later. A big diesel pickup truck idled outside my room from about 10:30 till about 11:15. The fumes came into my room irritating my head and throat.

Unfortunately our king size bed had a big sag in the middle that make our stay very uncomfortable. The sag was very visible when we first walked in the room so it also has to be to every person who cleans the room, comes in for maintenance or any kind of inspection. Why wouldn't the mattress have been replaced when it shows that much age and wear!! Both of us had 2 terrible nights of sleep. It was impossible not to roll down into the middle, and then hard to climb out of the hole. This is a BW Plus! We expected a comfortable bed to sleep in. Although the room was nice, breakfast nice, the bed situation ruined the stay for us. Its hard to understand why this mattress hasn't been replaced long ago!! We do a lot of traveling and this was the worst bed we have slept in for years.

Clean facility. Professional staff. But WORSE bed ever!! It was very bowed in the middle. I’m still sore four days later. I will not stay there again unless I know they’ve updated the beds.

Unless you are familiar with the Bend area or use GPS, the hotel is hard to find. Due to Oregon advertising laws, signage is very lacking to find the building. The room keys (electronic cards) did not work and had to be reprogrammed. This was a common issue that day for others, too. The bathroom sink stopper got stuck and was not repaired until late into the evening. The hotel had only one staff person on-site in the late afternoon/evening to take in arrivals and handle issues for all the rooms thus putting too much stress on the employee. Building was nice but hallways needed vacuuming. Stay was comfortable and rooms were up-to-date with furnishings. We'll give it one more try.

Overall, customer service, when I arrived was very nice. Welcoming, got me in a little early. It's an check out time. Downfall is the first morning. I woke up. Went and use the restroom pee to be exact. The toilet ended up overflowing, called the front desk guy, and he directed me, I had to come and get the toilet plunger to fix it myself. The beds need to be update uncomfortable you definitely feel thw springs

Unfortunately, I have to give Best Western Plus Bend North with a terrible review mostly with customer service. This would have been a go to hotel for us had this incident not happened. The hotel itself was fine however I was charged $150 for an incident that happened after my family checked out. We were accused of smoking in the room which is impossible because my husband and I are both non-smokers. We also had with us our 12 year old daughter who can absolutely attest to this fact. It is very unprofessional to acuse paying customers of wrongful doings. When I discovered the charge, I knew it had to be a mistake because I ALWAYS leave our hotel rooms or airb&bs in top notch condition. I asked to speak to the manager who wasn't there at the time so I called back again at the time I that she would be in and I was given the complete run a round. I still have yet to speak to the manager. I hope that the hotel does the appropriate thing and reimburses my credit card. I'm not sure how this even happened but it is concerning that hotels can do this even after charging high rates to stay there to begin with. We would have made frequent stays at Best Western Plus Bend North if this had not happened, but the hotel management can not be trusted here. Dont stay here. There are plenty of other options. I will follow up to let other consumers know if the hotel did the right thing and reimburses my credit card.

SOMETIMES A DECISION OF WHETHER OR NOT TO STAY AT A HOTEL AGAIN COMES FROM HOW WELL THE GUEST IS WELCOMED AT FIRST CHECK-IN. DAVID AND SAMANTHA WERE BOTH FANTASTIC. AND FOR THAT REASON I WILL BE RETURNING TO YOUR BEND OREGON HOTEL!! KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK!!

There are also a variety of shops and restaurants very close which made for a quick and easy dinner. Would stay again

Front desk check in was fast and easy. Room was quiet and super clean. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

Good experience, had to wait awhile for check in but it was not the desk clerks fault. She was overwhelmed with guest.

The hotel was clean and quiet. Great place to stay for a night. A bit hard to get to.

Dirty windows, sills, screens. Homeless RVs line the street behind hotel. Room was nicely furnished & modern. Nice clean bathroom. Check in clerk could use some customer service skills & offer basic info.

Reasonable price, very nice room, comfortable beds, outstanding continental breakfast. But -- coming from south with no left turn because of concrete barriers, we had to drive 15 miles north to Redmond to turn around and return for a right turn into the property.

The only thing I didn't like is that it was hard to find. No dining options that my gps could get me to so I had to have food delivered. Other than that, which I know is not your fault, it was a great place to stay and I would stay there again!

Great location and convenient.

There is significant road construction right in front of the hotel and it was difficult to access the property when coming north on 20. Not the hotels fault at all!

This Best Western was nice. Clean, quiet and had a pool and workout equipment. Fairly close to shopping but it was on the edge of town. Biggest problem the.only way to get there was to cross a busy highway with no signal. During traffic is was hard to cross. We would stay there again.

From a fast, friendly, efficient check-in to a clean, spacious room, a wonderful breakfast, and a great location, convenient to downtown Bend and the Old Mill District, I highly recommend this hotel!!! Thank you for a wonderful stay!!!

The breakfast was not great. Fresh fruit wasnt very good. Only selection of bagels were 2 poppyseed. The potatoes were dry and cold. Eggs were over cooked.

Clean, comfortable and quiet. Pool was fun for the kids, hot tub jets were not working. Great breakfast selection, pancake machine wasn’t working.

Stay was good. Staff was nice and helpful. Only downside was that breakfast was 10 minutes late. Other guests weren’t happy!

The staff did a fantastic job of taking care of us over 4 nights, breakfast was amazing each day!!

Hot tub wasn’t working and pancake maker was broken. Breakfast was not great.
